I remember lying to a guy that I was wearing Cool Water Woman while wearing this because I thought he’d just be confused if I said it was this. lol (I was in my teens then and Cool Water Woman was popular and therefore expensive back then.) Nice aquatic scent.
He said “really?” I think maybe he didn’t believe me.

So many years passed by I was almost a teen and I still remember it. It was my very first love and it played a defining role to my taste loving violet, jasmine, rose, lily of the valley and musk. I just bought one of these new perfumes from fragrancenet Bliss by Symetrie and they share a few notes and it reminded me of it altho Bliss is less aquatic.

This is my wife’s fragrance and she’s quickly running out, though she uses it sparingly. Oceanus (especially the perfume oil) has always left me weak in the knees. I’m not sure if it’s pheromones or what exactly, but every time I smell it, it’s like I’ve been smacked in the face by love. It’s like the romantic equivalent of the aroma of baking bread. I’ve never experienced anything quite like it with any other fragrance. That’s only gotten stronger the longer we’ve been together, of course. But since her supply is dwindling (and we’re not able to shell out $200 on Amazon), I’m looking for something as similar as I can find. Any suggestions? We’re in San Diego, so everything’s available nearby to test.

This was my childhood signature scent and I’m feeling nostalgic. I’m sure my nose has evolved past it so I hope to never smell it again and preserve the memory intact and perfect.

I remember falling in love with this, along with Aramis’ New West. It reminds me of my time at University and long, happy Summer hols. Far pleasanter than most of today’s Body Shop fragrances.

I received this from my uncle as a christmas present so many years ago. I didn’t like it very much at the time, being a young teen and all, but now it’s a nice, fresh exception in my perfume closet full of sweet fragrances.
This doesn’t smell very much like flowers to me, I have always thought of it being an aquatic. Usually I HATE anything aquatic, but this I even like, so I guess the flowers are responsible for that. Very fresh, definitely for summer!
At least on my skin this doesn’t leave much of a sillage. It stays very close to the skin and that’s a shame, because I would like others to smell this too. Doesn’t last very long either, a few hours at most.
Oceanus is one very common fresh/aquatic/water flowery perfume. If you have never smelled this, you will not be missing anything! There are plenty of other fragrances of this kind to discover.

Same as BBW’s Moonlight Path and Prince Matchabelli’s Fresh White Musk. Same exact fragrance. Very nice and fresh.

I don’t think this smells like Escape though they’re both aquatic scents (Escape is peachy and alot sharper, ‘detergent-like’ in comparison, irritating to me)…this one is quite soft and the scent does bring to mind the ocean…it smells clean and serene, soapy with a mild floral sweetness and just a tinge of something in-discernibly fruity. It makes you want to sit alone by the sea early at dawn and contemplate the meaning of life. It’s a beautiful scent especially in oil formulation, very long-lasting on the skin, and I really miss it 🙁 It was my favorite Body Shop scent growing up.

My best friend used to wear this and let me borrow some. It worked well for both of us and I loved it. If I got a whiff of it now, it would surely bring back memories.
Shame it’s not available anymore in stores, though. At least not where I live.

Yep, this one really does smell of salt sea and spray! Maybe a bit of a clumsy interpretation (bit like a cheaper escape) but it has something that makes you feel happy and nostalgic. Definately only for summer daytime wear!
You can’t wear this all the time though, as it has little depth and personality, a bit like a demeter frag.

I have 2 favourites from Bodyshop: the discontinued BeLeaf and Oceanus. But I prefer the EDT spray.
