On initial application, it is nice and fresh like the smell of flowers in a breeze. I smell no pepper in the top notes!!
In terms of longevity, several sprays fade after about 3 hours, with the exception of what to me is the worst part of this perfume: the drydown.
Th drydown is borderline awful on my skin, a weirdly synthetic smell that makes me feel like I’m wearing Febreeze instead of perfume. Not good. Therefore, sadly, I think this one might be more suited as a room freshener. I don’t mind as it was inexpensive, and I might still use it in the summertime.
The bottle shape kills my OCD.

Today is a warm, sunny but breezy August day and this perfume is perfect for it. I do get the “dry twiggy-ness” but its like drift-wood washed up on the shore and dried in the baking sun. This, to me, is not an aquatic scent but it has a beach/sand dune feel to it. Ok, I’ll admit it doesn’t last all that long, but it conjures up the idea of warmed skin after a day in the sun before you spray on something “heavier” for the evening. It also reminds me a bit of Ambre Solaire run cream too! Love it and love the price

Testing this today it smells exactly how I thought it would- that is, once you get past the peculiar dry aromatic twiggy burst from the sichuan pepper in the opening- a very odd note which for the life of me I can’t figure out what they were thinking including it in this predominantly floral perfume- luckily this fades quickly. The general impression I get here is of blossoms, hyacinth, stephanotis and gentle musk. The Hyacinth gives it an aquatic feel, whilst the stephanotis combines with it to give a slightly soapy scent-I don’t get the praline note at all. It is good value for the price as longevity and sillage are better than I expected -nice for spring & summer days or holidays and I love the washed-ashore design of the bottle.

Ok so I have received my bottle. Hmm…unfortunately I am making the judgment that it’s slightly spoiled as it smells peculiar. The top notes of this smells like they’ve jusssst started to turn. 🙁 Once they are gone though I can smell the heart and base properly.
So about the smell of this..at first sniff I’m immediately reminded of a mixture of Red Jeans by Versace and Tresor by Lancome. It’s a very rich familiar smelling perfume that feels like I’ve smelled it before. It’s certainly nothing new or amazingly interesting to me.
The main notes I would say would be Stephanotis and the hyacinth, this perfume smells slightly artificial but pleasant nonetheless. I would pertain it to more of a body spray, it’s like an impulse body spray.
The pepper is nowhere to be seen..and I think the citruses have ruined. It isn’t either sweet or fresh to my nose..it’s more of a plasticy floral.
Luckly I’m gettting a refund for my bottle but I get to keep it, can use this around the office as a quick spritzer or just when I’m at home.
Not an amazing olfactory experience but I’m glad my curiosity is has been satisfied.
