I hate that sweet, cloying, sticky genre of gourmand and PdM all together and that combo makes this fragrance to me, a “must avoid” at all costs. Honey, cinnamon, tonka, vanilla en masse…yuck

Too sweet and cloying according to the majority of people within my surrounding.
Luckily it was just a decant. Will stick with my Feve Delicieuse to get my gourmand fix.

If heaven had a bakery it would definitely smell like this. Beautiful stuff. Very very similar to A. Narguile but slightly richer. I also get similarities with Pure Havane by Mugler. I would say that this is 80% A. Narguile and 20% Pure Havane. 9/10

really average again from PDM but if i had to buy one from the house it would be oajan.
Honey note is not that great and old manish.
On my skin it smells like speculoos cookies from lotus.
Could be allright to wear on xmass i guess.
Really dissapointed by the PDM house.
Reminds me of by kilian, also a pure hype average quality house.
    Such a shame

JefferyHam… You obviously overlooked Darley. But on top of Oajan & Herod, many others I’ve sampled that are loaded with certain spices that also give off a cinnamon vibe… such as Pegasus, Layton etc… So of the 5 I’ve tried thus far, ALL SMELL LIKE CINNAMON. Not saying I don’t like them. In fact Oajan has become one of my most complimented frags of all time. Looking for another bottle as I write this. My girl can’t get enough of it. She says it gets her juices flowing & believe me, I’m not complaining… PDM is definitely one of the best houses out there.

Oajan is a wonderful gourmand composed of thick and golden honey, hot cinnamon, amber, hint of osmanthus, vanilla, tonka and various resins. It feels like a candied fruit, a compote of apples, oriental sweets (baklava, dates, halva, …) and Italian amaretti. No matter what – it’s just yummy.
However, it does not become unbearably greedy, but in the background is a darker note that tames everything.
This scent is one of the perfumes that make me forget that sometimes I doubt if I like gourmands or not. It is one of the sweet scents that does not annoy me after a while, but still remains sweet, always double-layered.
My assessment: clearly unisex, easily wearable for the youngest, should definitely be tested by Ambre Narguilé’s fans, for me the most beautiful of the twins. projection is not weak and the longevity is excellent. Oajan is a great companion for the cool season. Opulent, sweet, a little demanding, seductive and sensual. it is just beautiful and different.
I like this perfume, I can drink it. 🙂

As many have said, this is very similar to Hermes Ambre Narguile. I think it’s somewhat more synthetic, not as rich, so I went with the original (just a 15ml bottle, as I don’t wear it frequently and the full bottle price is nuts). It does, however, have very strong projection (not that the Hermes has bad projection)–if that’s more important to you, or if the Hermes doesn’t seem worth the extra cost, try this instead.

Other then this and Herod, what other PDM using Cinnamon?

I like this but enough with the cinnamon already PDM… I feel as though they’re afraid to explore outside their comfort zone. With thousands of notes to choose from, cinnamon??? Reminds me of every PDM frag I’ve tried to date… Projection & longevity is insane… Go light at first.

To me, this is a more masculine rendition of SL Chergui and a more palatable version of same. The cinnamon is what makes it more masculine and more enjoyable. As it dries down, it gets in the same lane as Chergui, but this is more polite where I see Chergui as aggressive to the nose. I also think this is made better.
The longevity is moderate to long lasting and the projection is politely moderate. I like it and recommend it.

Two words: APPLE PIE! I love apple pies, I love eating them, and I love smelling them! So when I heard that PDM Oajan smelled like apple pies, I knew I had to try it. And MAN does it smell good! Hands down, one of the best winter fragrances you can get in the market! Another great oriental smell by the house of PDM, not to mention girls like it too! If you wear this bad boy to the club on a winter night, it could cut through 95% of all the sh!t you’ll usually smell. It can grab the attention of almost every girl you walk past by. Just make sure, if you are not going to the club, don’t over spray it! And don’t wear this in the summer!
    Scent: easily 10/10
    Sillage: 10/10
    Longevity: 10/10
    Compliments: hell yea!

I love this fragrance. There fragrances are so good. Too bad I just don’t believe anything about their brand story. Sounds like a crock of sh–. They would have been better off just saying “Yea hey, we’re a bunch of people that just make really good perfume”. Now that I could get behind. Sure have a little bit of glammer, but stop with the “inspired by” stories, it’s tired. But this company truly does make amazing scents.

This fragrance really does smell like a spiced sweet apple pie.. It smells very high quality and beautiful, but I can’t think of many occasions where I would wear this.. I may purchase a bottle but it’d last me several years due to the lack of times I’d wear it! There’s a lot of cinnamon, some apple (definitely present although not listed) and lots of honey, too. Great fragrance, but try before you buy just due to the lack of wearability 🙂
Update: I bought it and I don’t regret it one bit – amazing fragrance!

Parfums de Marly Oajan is a powerhouse gourmand that I consider as an upgrade to the Mugler A*Men line of flankers. As such, I eventually decided to sell my Muglers as Oajan already fits my needs as a very high-quality gourmand fragrance.
    Scent: 10/10
At the top, I get a thick, dense, and heavy dose of honey and cinnamon. Accompanying it are vanilla, and a cherry accord which I guess comes from the tonka bean. Once the cherry accord dies down, Oajan gives off that warm apple pie vibe it is known for. It is a rather linear fragrance, but I do notice that it becomes less spicy and more sweet as the hours pass.
    Performance: 10/10
As mentioned earlier, this is a powerhouse! I can easily get 24 hours worth of longevity on my skin, as well as room-filling projection and excellent sillage for the first 4-6 hours. I would recommend only 2 sprays max for each use.
    Versatility: 7/10
Given its stellar performance and note breakdown, it is best reserved for the colder seasons. It is usable in the hotter weather, but only when you are staying in a climate controlled (air-conditioned) environment. In terms of occasions, I believe that it can be used both formally and casually, but more of the latter as its sweetness can make it seem too playful for formal events.
    Compliments: 10/10
I get compliments on how elegant and classy the fragrance smells. The very warm and comforting scent it gives off really is a winner. Aside from that, others also praise it for how natural it smells compared to the more popular designer gourmands. As long as it is used in the right settings and occasions, it should always get positive remarks.
    Price / Value: 9/10
I got a bottle of it from a local fragrance group for a very good price. Presentation is top notch! The glass is thick and solid, but the Parfums de Marly caps are what will probably capture the attention of most. They have the heaviest caps I have ever known for any fragrance house. Being part of the Arabian Collection, the box is also classier compared to those used for the other Parfums de Marly fragrances. Had I paid retail for this, it would have gotten a lower score. Nonetheless, I can see it lasting many years due to how potent it is.
    Overall: 10/10
I have no regrets at all in letting go of a couple of my designer gourmands and replacing them with just Oajan. I now consider this as one of my favourite fragrances in my collection.

Just received my Oajan in the mail, and I must say I am amazed! An excellent excellent fragrance!
After the first spray, I detect boozy, cherry tobacco, sweet, gourmand, slightly vanilla, with a small hint of cinnamon in this. Oajan sits right in the middle of Herod and Habdan; a gentle yet alluring fragrance. Habdan has a cherry/smoky tobacco vibe and Herod has a sugar tobacco vibe; Oajan has a cherry tobacco vibe that is less sweet and less smoky as opposed to Habdan. The cherry chapstick vibe I get can be likened to Speakeasy’s Frapin and not bad might I add; just something I observed as the scent developed. This fragrance is phenomenal!!
Along with the Honey, the Tonka Bean, Ambergris, and Artemisia show up quite nicely. The Patchouli, Musk, Labdanum, Benzion, and Osmanthus are however very faint in that they aren’t so heavy that they take center stage or overpower the aforementioned notes.
Unfortunately, I am unable to give a comparison to Hermessence Ambre Narguile as many have mentioned; I have not smelled Ambre Narguile yet.
Overall, manly goodness-a very VERY nice fragrance from Parfums de Marly!!

For a gourmand, i do think the scent character is stunning! For me though unfortunately, it doesn’t work with my skin chemistry and becomes an instant skin scent, which is an absolute shame as i do think it’s possibly the best sweet scent i have encountered. If this projected on me,it would be a winter staple. However, i like it so much that i decided to give it as an xmas present to my mum so i still get to experience it in some way.

Lovely blend of sweet apple and honey with cinnamon backing it up. Performance is out of this world. Smells very similar to Ambre Narguille by Hermes but different in its own way. Oajan is a lot heavier on the sweetness and less spicy than AN. I own bottles of both and don’t find them redundant.

Nice smell that lasts quite long(around 8 hours) but little projection. Asked my colleague at the office who sits next to me if he could sniff it, but he could not.

Oajan is a dark, elegant, creamy and masculine offering from Parfums de Marly. The key note here is a creamy cinnamon which is highlighted by shades of honey, osmanthus, benzoin, labdanum, ambergris, artemisia, patchouli, musk, vanila and tonka bean. Beautifully composed, this beauty is for men who like their things a bit sweet and dark like exotic chocolate. Uncommon, polished, and beautiful pleasing projection. This is a classic of modern perfumery!

This is what I should have worn to bed last nite instead of Darley. (See Darley review.) I LOVE the way they have done this one. It’s sweet but masculine and has that oriental freshness that makes you want to take a deep breathe. (Touch of ambergris? Perhaps thats what keeps it from going too over the top x-mas candle cinnamon.)
We all know the notes but combined they blend really well and at first you don’t know what you are smelling. I sprayed this on my boy before bed tonight and he exclaimed, “This smells like Christmas!”. And we are definitely a Halloween family but man, he was right. This smells like Christmas without any tacky decorations. This is a very dark, sweet, and comforting Christmas. Oh I forgot to tell you, By Kilian called. They called to say they wished they created this one. Also Azzaro is jealous they could never attain this level, and A.N. is the other jealous girl at school.

Oajan was my first Parfums de Marly scent and now PdM is my favorite niche house. This is undoubtedly very sweet gourmand scent. Opens up with a blast of cinnamon and honey mouth watering delicious, the cinnamon has a smoky vibe like baking a creamy cinnamon cake with honey maybe, smells like very delicious dessert to me. However you must love sweet scents at least in the opening, it dries down to a creamy vanilla, Amber and tonka Very cozy and addictive scent, the sweetness is toned down but quite noticeable in the background, the scent is a bit linear and does not develop much. This is gourmand lovers dream! Few scents makes me wanna eat my wrist and this is one of them. The performance is solid! Lasts all day with a great projection be careful with the trigger. Ultimate romantic scent IMO. Be careful she might eat your neck
    My rating: ✫✫✫✫✫ SOLID

Oustanding fragrance, I am impressed. First of all, sillage is tremendous and longevity is great as well. Cinammom is the main note and it is fabulous, done well with a sweetness that is not overdone. Well done Parfums de Marly on this one. I own Habden, Pegasus and Nisean and I would say this is my favorite of them all, at least it works on my skin perfectly.

It smells like French Toast with honey. Performance is good but the smell is horrible. Most women DO NOT like it. I repeat: MOST women DO NOT like it. It is a huge problem when you have a good performance on a horrible scent.

  26. :

A rougher, thicker, harsher version of ambre narguile, with just a bit or pinch of something like pure havane and the mix of benzoin and labdanum in this kinda remind me of grand soir how those 2 notes are mixed.
This still has that apple cinnamon pie kinda thing like amber narguile, and it has a pasty jammy quality to it as well(which I do not enjoy at all in fragrances, but thankfully this aspect is much more apparent on paper than skin). But the color or image I have in my head of that particular aspect for the hermes is a more crystallized visual. A hard candy if you will.
This particular image nuance does not cross my mind when smelling this, probably because of it being harsher, thicker, and well rougher as I said. So its hard to imagine something see through with those kinda adjectives being used, but undoubtably similar.
    Performance is fine.
Whatever the case im not a big fan of the apple cinnamon pie novelty factor. So in that in that particular aspect im not horny about either of the scents. But that aside in terms of overall smell besides that nuance I think this one is good.

Oajan in a nutshell smells like Trident Cinnamon chewing Gum, or Big Red chewing gum. Take your pick.
Its hot Cinnamon sweetened with Honey.
Projects like a BEAST. Excellent Silage. Lasts 12 hours on skin. Lasts 5 days on Clothes.
Linear fragrance but it gets compliments.

This is my first purchase from the house of Parfums de Marly and it’s a winner.
At first I found it a bit too dense and sweet but after five minutes or so that denseness gives way to a sweet honey and cinnamon scent with a lightness to it that just makes it smell so special.
The sillage and longevity is great as others have said. I also think it deserves props for versatility as I find I can dress this up or down.
Expensive but worth it in my opinion

When I want to smell mischievous but don’t feel like wearing oud or a strong patchouli fragrance, Oajan is the perfect solution. I dare not compare this to anything else. I just enjoy how the notes play out on my skin. The projection and longevity are of no concern – it lasts forever on my skin. I can’t even sex this one off. I always turn heads and get compliments when I wear this with black or darker shades of brown. Despite how sweet this can be, it’s never over-bearing. I can easily enjoy this in Kuwait’s warm nights. This is definitely one I plan to keep in rotation.

I agree, this one also reminded me of Pure Havane, but a bit sweeter, smokier, and fuller bodied. I’ll admit, I expected a bit more from this after reading reviews about it, but Pure Havane is one of my favorites, so a more seductive Pure Havane is by all means not a bad thing!
Try this one if you get a chance. It smells great, and the performance is unreal, as others have stated.

  32. :

    @jigginssean
I have the same impressions. Very similar to Pure Havane, but PH has better performance.
I have an oily skin. This fragrance has good longevity, but it became a skin scent in a very short period of time.
I bling bought it. The scent is very good, very pleasing. I really like it. I was expecting beast mode performance, but I am disappointed.

  33. :

Honestly, This is made from good ingredients, you can tell. But it really just gives me a apple pie spice SCENTED CANDLE accord the whole time. I mean exactly like a candle, down to the waxy smell. It stays pretty linear and performs excellent, so if you like the smell, it’s a winner for sure.
But I just can’t get behind smelling like the scented candle at my grandma’s house during the holidays.

  34. :

Parfum de Marly Oajan. I wonder why this gem doesn’t get more attention. Projection, sillage and longevity are amazing.
It gets compared a lot to ambre narguille which I have never tried personally so I can’t comment on that. However, it has that cinnamon, spicy, vanilla vibe which remind me of TF Tobacco Vannille or Phaedon Tabac Rouge with a twist of oriental. The warm honey gives it a gourmand vibe without the powdery side of By Kilian Back to Black. The boozy note keeps me addicted and asking for more and more.
To me this fragrance, is a the perfect winter scent. Throughout the day I would get a little whiff here and there, nothing too cloying, just enough for me to enjoy this wonderful smell. It’s a complex fragrance but it’s so easy to fall in love with Oajan.

  35. :

    4 out of 5

I am surprised no one so far has mentioned any comparison to Thierry Muglers Pure Havane because this fragrance smells similar to me. It is like the opening of Pure Havane but all the way through into the dry down too which is certainly a good thing. I like the scent, it is pleasant but i wouldn’t say it was massively unique and no one has seemed to have noticed it on me so far but although my skin is as dry as the Sahara desert, i get decent longevity from this. I think this one has great potential.

  36. :

I can’t believe I bought this fragrance from Fortnum & Mason about three years ago and I still haven’t posted a review…I’m getting so lax these days.
Anyway…I think that amount of time and several winters (coz it’s a winter thing really) of wear makes me more than qualified to give my opinion and it’s that Oajan is a strong outing from this house. Although I’m relatively easy to please, there’s few fragrances which I’d say I’m pretty much always in love with. Oajan very nearly has that honour but because of it’s inherent, festive seasonality it needs to be rested from time to time but when revisited the love affair begins anew.
Yeah it’s a big, warm cinnamon, booze and honey fragrance with a deep woody resinous base…adorable. Apparently it’s a copycat of some Hermes fragrance and You might think this genre is over subscribed but the balance and quality of Oajan make it stand out and shine to me. It’s great, the bottle looks great too it’s very heavy and the cap makes a satisfying chunky “click”…(relish the little things.) Oh and the performance and silage are good too.

  37. :

    5 out of 5

So I have come around. I hated this at first because it smelled just like a warm McDonalds apple pie to me…but something about it grew on me. Ive burned through my little 5ml decant over the past 7 months or so and now I’m buying a full bottle-of what I suspect will be several bottles as time goes on.
    Why?
The opening is garbage to me and the mid is that dollar menu apple pie…but the drydown gets all the honey and the “real” oven cooked apple notes and it gets magical AF.
It took me a while to appreciate it even though plenty of people have told me how much they liked it when I did wear it.
Between this and Habdan-Oajan is the clear winner. Better performance, better projection, better longevity. Still no Beast mode but it’s worth it if you can get it under $175 USD, under $150 I’d say is blind buy worthy I think.
Scent: 7.5/10 overall. Not a fan of the opening though.
Projection: 6/10 for the first hour or two, pretty good for a PDM. 3/10 past hour 3ish.
Sillage: 4/10 not a big train like Pegasus or Safanad but noticable to whoever is walking directly behind you.
Longevity: 6/10 I get six hours max of usable wear which isn’t that bad all things considered.
Would I buy another full bottle: probably. I have a feeling of the 170 different scents I have, I may be reaching for this a lot this spring.

Too sweet and cloying to be a masculine scent for me. Survived two attempts at washing off my arm, so tenacious at least. Vanilla, honey and cinnamon in abundance as everyone else has noted, with an ambery base.

It’s beautiful! It’s gorgeous! So strong; wonderful!!!! Sweet, rich, honey, a little cinnamon, vanilla, tonka, patchouli!!! Yum yum yum!!!

I have been dying to blind buy this for quite some time. It sounded like everything I love in a winter frag. Finally, I came across a tester at Nordstroms. Holy moly … thank God I did not buy. Heavy, Heavy super heavy, and I love heavy. I can’t believe I am going to say that it was too heavy for me. Super sweet, strong cinnamon note, sure some vanilla, but over all just wrong kind of sweet for me. There is something about it that prevents me from loving this one. Too bad, I was looking forward to buying this one. May be i’ll try again mid winter.

The musk tonka combo in the drydown is fantastic. Much better than many big league scents. Same league as enigma, l homme ideal by guerlain, pure havane etc….just when the sweet tobacco was becoming intolerable this came as a fresh surprise. Extreme longevity. A definite eye turner in parties. Too loud for indoors. I will do magic outdoors. Outstanding quality. A good clone.

At first this is too strong and cloying which really put me off so I thought I use up the sample I had. After an hour or two this changes into a magical honey cinnamon balsamic fragrance for the dry down perfect for the fall and winter.

it’s really strange.most of reviews below mention that it smell cinnamon but, i just get honey and vanile and very little cinnamon.one of the best marly beside herod that i’ve tested.marly perfumes really worth this price because all of them have best scent and longevity.maybe my next buy from this horses house.BRAVOOOO .8/10

Parfums de Marly Oajan is an absolute power house fragrance. You can smell the boozy honey, tonka, cinnamon and vanilla. It’s an extremely rich and opulent fragrance. It is a beast mode fragrance that will last all day and projects extremely well in the first few hours. Everybody will know what you were wearing. Obviously more of a fall and winter fragrance, or an evening fragrance. But it is a true masterpiece. 10 out of 10.

  47. :

    4 out of 5

By coincidence, I had a chance to test Oajan today – one day after reviewing Paco Rabanne’s newly released 1 Million Privé (1MP), which I trashed for unimaginatively smelling nearly identical to Ambre Narguilé (AN). If 1MP shares 96% of AN’s DNA, then Oajan shares 98%. Since Parfums de Marly has some creative offerings (for instance, Herod, with its floral aspects, stands out in the overdone sweet tobacco genre), I wonder why the house would risk a copycat image with such a fragrance.
Needless to say, like its Hermès twin, Oajan is a pleasant honey-centred fragrance with good lasting power and a steep price tag. Unfortunately, after wearing it for a while, I started feeling as if someone had sprayed me with a vanilla-scented air freshener. Another aspect it shares with AN, I’m afraid.
I am yet to try L’Erbolario’s Dolcelesir, another alleged AN dupe. At least this company didn’t copy the price.

I’m sorry, it’s a nice smell and if my home smelled like this then I wouldn’t complain but on me it smells like McDonalds apple pie. Definately not up-market.
In this scent category Ill stick to V&R spicebomb intense, Givenchy Pi, and Mugler Pure Tonka.
Oit of a “One to Plotz” I’ll give it a “meh-point-five”. Its very natural smelling but the price point kills it and in this scent category, there are far more economical options that hve really unique signatures that are not to dissimilar from this.

I could have loved it, but for the apricot/peach thing (osmanthus, presumably). Very rich and beautiful texture but I can’t enjoy it with that note, it smells too unusual and sets the tone as such for the fragrance.

One of the BEST cold weather scents ever made. If you LIKE Ambre Narguile by Hermes then you will LOVE this. It lasts long too unlike Herod does, even though that is also an amazing scent as all.
10/10 over all. This fragrance is perfect from the presentation to the dry down

  52. :

    4 out of 5

Obviously, Oajan is very similar to Ambre Narguile. In fact, unless I had them side by side I wouldn’t be able to tell you a single difference between the two. That said, this is the best Ambre Narguile clone (no denying it) available. Dolcelisir, while close, smells significantly cheaper, and Helium feels drier and a bit spicier (it’s good, but different). Oajan is more or less identical. In fact, it probably performs better, as Ambre Narguile is somewhat close to the skin, and Oajan gets out there a little more. As with most PdM fragrances, performance is very good. Aside from the superior performance, Oajan is significantly cheaper. You can find it for about $160 for a 125ml as opposed to Ambre Narguile which you’re not going to find for less than $250 for a 100. While Oajan’s MSRP is around $275, it’s frequently discounted. So in my opinion, Oajan is the better buy. Several years ago, Ambre Narguile was the way to go as it was really the only one of its kind. Not anymore. While PdM loses points for more or less creating a clone, I’ll give them credit for doing a mighty fine job of it and for making Ambre Narguile available at a much cheaper price. Thumbs up. Did I mention I really like the way this smells?

Parfum De Marly Herod has been my signature scent for awhile now. So I had to start sampling others from this house. As of this review, I own bottles of Herod and Pegasus. I have tried samples of Habdan, Hamdani, Oajan and Byerley. This review is on Oajan, I have reviewed / will review the others as well.
After reading the glowing reviews of Oajan, I purchased a 4ml sample to try on my skin. The Initial spray is a warm, sweet and spicy. A good mixture of cinnamon and honey, rounded out by vanilla and Tonka.
Another very well balanced fragrance of high quality from PDM. Although this is listed a unisex, I find Oajan to lean a bit more to the feminine side. Herod is still my favorite fragrance from PDM, Habdan is my second favorite and I would put Oajan as my third. I may be adding a bottle to my collection at some point.
A lot of comparisons to Ambre Narguile. Personally, I have never sniffed Ambre Narguile, so I cannot comment on that. But it does mean that I will have to try a sample of that one day as well.
Bottom line: If you like Herod and / or Habdan or scents that balance spicy and sweet, you should try a sample of Oajan.

I wish I could be kinder and give a glowing rating to Oajan but I just cannot bring myself round to do it.
Let me say the scent is remarkably civil, pleasant and will no doubt gain many fans and admirers but what puts me off right from the start is it’s simple indentikit pose of Ambre Narguilé; I’m sure this has been mentioned a lot by other reviewers.
As such, it’s nice n sweet and honeyed and all but it has that same Almond accord as the Hermessence juice and I just can’t drop $180 on that.
It’s not that much stronger either, just a very nice melange of apple-pie, vanilla, some amber and of course the apricot-like osmanthus.
But it’s all a bit too soft and feminine, it lack a little woods and boldness for me.
The almond vibe is not as relentless as Ambre Narguilé but it’s there. There’s still not enough of the wonderful green-apple note either, that just peeks and barely flirts and just not enough reward at the end.
So; disappointed but the competition was always fierce – however, there’s always the much-coveted Herod to move onto for me, so that’s next for review!
    My rating: 6/10.
    Scent quality: 9/10.

I received 4ml testers of all the fragrances in this line yesterday, and this one by far is the most beautiful one in the line… yeah that’s right! Even better the the glorious smelling Herod! In my opinion this is the king of fragrances. This smells like a freshly backed cinnamon raisen bread covered in a whiskey infused honey syrup. Warm, sweet, boozy, this is pure sexy manliness in a bottle.

I freaking love this stuff. That sort of scent that makes you feel happy when you wear it, just something about it. I’m really loving this house, they put a lot of love into their fragrances. Very natural smelling. Warm cinnamon, honey and vanilla. So nice, seriously.
This is pretty loud, so watch out with the trigger. I just have a sample with a stick, not even a sprayer and all I need is a tiny bit. First time I tried it this lady at the store walked by me and I saw her head jerk around and stare at me when she smelled it, like she didn’t know what the hell she just smelled, but she knew it was good. I could just feel it radiating off me.
Definitely want to pick up a bottle of this…just wish the price point wasn’t so high. Well, lasts a really long time and you really don’t need much, so I figure it’s definitely worth it.

I don’t have anything particularly meaningful to add to the reviews of Oajan, but I do want to comment on its similarity to Ambre Narguile. It is nearly identical.
I have never researched Oajan (quite frankly, Herod turned me off from the house) but I had to sniff the line when I saw the bottles on display at Nordstrom’s. When it came time for Oajan, I did a double take. For a split second I thought, “do I already own this?” And then it hit me: Ambre Narguile.
To be honest, I probably won’t ever give Oajan the proper time of day now. It’s hard for me to imagine it’s any huge improvement over Ambre Narguile (I see a lot of people mention this one is stronger, but I happen to like the ethereal quality of the Hermessence line), and once you already own one what’s the point? Could be my loss, but I’m willing to accept that.

Very warm, sweet, and pleasant scent built around a honeyed-cinnamon accord. As pointed out by voter above, vanilla and some other resinous notes are present in the scent as well, but they are there to support the overall structure and help creating a well orche
