Noa Cacharel for women of Cacharel

Share:

Description

Noa is a small planet in your hand with a pearl inside. Noa is a transparent composition of flowers, delicate spices, velvety fruit nuances, and the energizing power of coffee beans. This fragrance is like a tender whisper, feminine and subtle, weightless, but with a noticeable presence.
Tender powdery top notes of freesia, peach skin, peony, and musk lead to a floral heart of white flowers, ylang-ylang, and rose. The base is woodsy and transparent with coffee and incense touches.

Noa was launched in 1998. The nose behind this fragrance is Olivier Cresp.

This soft beauty is a love for me. A rare situation where I love both the perfume and the bottle, all I can say is this perfume looks like it smells. Soft peach and musk come together wonderfully here, I love it the most when I have it in my hair, hours later I’ll walk through the breeze and be reminded how great I smell. Truly the softest perfume that continues to deliver hours later.

I just received my bottle today and it’s absolutely STUNNING! It’s by far the prettiest bottle in my collection. The opal pearl inside is brilliant and mystifying. It’s so soft and feminine. The smell is of that from the heavens. Light and fresh and a tad fruity. It’s enchanting and fit for an angel. It’s wisful.. I imagine wearing this in a beautiful home by the sea with an open window with the windows crisp white curtains blowing in the wind feeling at peace, serene and tranquil while wearing a very simple cotton white heavenly lofty dress. It’s a magical scent great for summer and spring. It’s more of a day scent. The sillage is not too strong I can’t see this scent offending anyone it’s so pure. It is very unique and don’t smell like anything I’ve ever smelled. It’s refined and fresh. Uplifting. Try this gem of a perfume you won’t be disappointed.

Wore this back in the early 2000’s. Wore it to work and it was beautiful, slightly sweet, musky, and floral. Couldn’t find it anymore so I went on to something else. Recently found it again and once I put it on, it reminded me of why I loved it back then. Glad to have this back again. Up to the favorites shelf it goes.
It’s subtle, calming, and relaxing. It can be a bit energizing because of the coffee note for some people. The longevity is quite good considering it’s an EDT. I’ve worn this all year round without any problem. The base notes became more pronounced during the winter. In spring and summer it’s very fresh and clean smelling. A bit of muskiness like from a nice sweet floral soap and it has a slight drier sheet quality. Because of that, it makes for a great everyday/work scent to smell nice, clean, and fresh. Smells quite similar to newer fresh scents out today in 2018 so I wouldn’t call it dated at all.

When I put it on the first time it smelled like the Hairspray from my Grandma. It has something in it I like, but then it has something I dislike. It takes time to figure out this fragrance.

Alright, my second review for this.
First of all, I have to mention that I strongly suspect that I’ve gone through some major hormonal changes lately; a lot of scents I’ve liked before now smell terrible to and on me. Noa didn’t work on me before, not entirely at least; the musk turned too masculine on my skin and it was a bit dusty smelling. (Read my review below if you’re interested)
    But now…
The sample that I had is empty now and I can honestly say that Noa is the ONLY fragrance that I’ve actually come to miss after not wearing it for a while. Usually with a perfume I will have enough of them after wearing them every day for some time; in fact, a lot of perfumes start to irritate me. I will find some aspect, some note that will annoy me and I HAVE to take a break from it for a while.
Not so with Noa. I’ve acquired both the 100ml bottle (allbeauty has some awesome deals on that one) and the 30ml bottle. The small one is actually so small that it’s perfect for carrying in your purse as touch ups WILL be needed throughout the day. Longevity is definitely very good for EdT concentration, but after 5 hours or so, it will fade so much that it will be hardly detectable. And I say hardly, because it WILL linger on your skin for quite a few hours more than that, but it will be so quiet, that no one else will be able to smell it.
    Anyhow…
My original review still stands. This is such a unique fragrance, I’ve never smelled anything like this. In fact I’m willing to go so far that there’s nothing else out there that DOES smell like this; nothing that even comes close.
I cannot detect a single note in this. It is so extremely well blended that Noa is truly not a combination of notes, but a note of its own; it’s an essence. The only note that I can smell by itself is the musk and even that smells so different from other musks that… I don’t know… I really don’t know. It’s absolutely indescribable. I’m truly convinced that no review could properly describe this. This has to be experienced.
To and on me, it smells warm, cosy and inviting, yet at the same time somehow cool, fresh and aloof. It’s somehow synthetic, perfumey, shower fresh, yet at the same time it smells extremely natural and kind of like… Skin. It’s ethereal and airy, angelic, yes. But at the same time it’s down to earth, real and present. This is truly a symphony of opposites.
And it shouldn’t work. But it does. Oh, how it works! It’s comforting like a warm soft jumper in late autumn; cuddling up with a hot cup of coffee next to the window, watching the rain.
And it’s oh so intriguing. When I’m wearing Noa, I notice so many people (especially men) coming closer to me, especially when I’m standing in line in a store, moving in closer and closer. There’s a magic at work here that I’ve never experienced with another scent.
It smells vintage yet modern, completely timeless. And I think it’s old enough to be avant-garde again; hardly anyone of the young generation (my generation) even knows this. It’s that scent on the bottom shelf; it will never leave (hopefully) but it’s pretty much overlooked by anyone who doesn’t know and love it already. And those people are few and far between. You will smell unlike anyone else.
To me, this is mostly a young scent. A smell of innocence, naivete and fragility. I could see angels smelling this, elves or any other otherworldly being.
If I had to choose one word to describe this it would most decidedly be ‘ethereal’. Noa is the essence of ethereality. Its song: ‘Aniron’ by Enya.

Angelic. The smell of purity – clean and fresh. Takes me to nirvana. My signature warm/hot weather perfume now and forever. Truly beautiful. Timeless. If I ever get married, this is what I hope to wear when walking down the aisle.

I tested Noa back when it was first released (1998/99) and I remember it giving me a massive headache. I stayed far, far away from it! Recently, knowing that pretty much all mainstream perfumes were reformulated within the last ten years, I spied Noa for C$19.99 and thought, “Ah, why not?”
Well, I think the reformulations have made it so that I am no longer headache-prone with certain musky scents. Narciso Rodriguez for Her (2003/04) gave me the same problem, except I could not smell the EDT/EDP at all.
Now, 15–20 years later, I’ve resniffed both Noa and NR EDP. Neither gives me a headache, but I’ve become slightly anosmic to Noa (I think) and I can now smell NR EDP. Maybe it’s me, maybe it’s the reformulations…
Noa smells soft, white, creamy (lotion-y), and quite powdery. The strength seems extremely poor to me, so that even with about five spritzes, I still have to stick my nose into my skin to smell it. I think I’m probably partially anosmic to it. The opening is very strong and acidic, but I think it’s just the initial alcohol blast, as the sprayer on my 30ml bottle is very generous. A sourness does kind of hang on, though. For me, it’s the same kind of effect I get with Jovan Musk and Jovan White Musk: I can barely smell anything but some soap and powder, tinged with sourness. Whatever musk(s) they’re using in these perfumes is simply not for me!

I received a free bottle of Noa in 2001, and loved it.
Seventeen years later I purchased a small bottle of the same Noa and am glad to report that the fragrance hasn’t changed, it’s just like I remember.
Noa has been described as a gentle scent, and that’s accurate. But gentleness doesn’t mean weakness, and Noa is quite persistent. Its soft notes remind me of clean warm skin.
This fragrance is feminine but it doesn’t have any girly sugar notes. Noa doesn’t beat the wearer up with powerful notes of this and that. The scent doesn’t change much over time, it stays recognizably Noa.
I like the original Noa very much, and now I’m wondering about the flankers.

Finally! I’m really happy to have this marble. I thought it was similar to Acqua di Giò due to many common notes.
If possible, Noa is even better; it’s so bright, crystalline, luminous, sweet and refreshing. With a tender drydown.

I bought Noa because I searched for fragrances that smell like grass. I love coffee but don’t get that smell in it, unless it’s green coffee. I sprayed some more on before writing this to check.
Maybe I’m mistaking how the coffee is supposed to smell with the other notes. What I get is a smell of what it would be like on a summer day in bed with balcony doors open, in freshly washed sheets and the grass being cut outside, with some fruity plummy notes. Maybe the coffee could be a latte in bed to wake me up in the morning. Also some light musk to give it some more uumpuh

Excuse me this is not a review.
The last opinion below has removed all my doubts. I “must” have Noa in my little collection!

I find this one difficult to describe. I have a tester which seems to last me forever and so I’ve tested it on my skin several times now.
To start, it smells very powdery and musky; in fact this is the most powdery perfume I’ve smelled so far. It’s very soft, yet spicy. There’s an undeniable ‘zest’ to it, kind of nose tickling yet not strong enough to make me sneeze. I can’t really make out a floral here, except maybe the peony which keeps it fresh.
It has a bit of a clean laundry vibe – mostly a clean, soft, wool jumper – in a good way. It smells clean and somehow cosy and comforting. But at the same time still spicy and aloof.
I’m not sure yet if I can become friends with this – not enough to warrant a full bottle at least (though the price is tempting) – as I do keep smelling my wrist to try to figure this out and while I can find nice things there, I think ultimately I might find this too musky, powdery and masculine. Musk can easily turn quite masculine on my skin and personally I find that the powderiness here comes dangerously close to smelling ‘dusty’ at times.
This is definitely a unisex scent; a man could easily wear this.
I find longevity quite good; when applied to moisturised skin I can get a good 7-8 hours out of it, a bit less on a busy day which results in more perspiration – which in my opinion is good performance for EdT concentration. Though this does turn into a complete skin scent about three to four hours in. And by skin scent I really do mean skin scent. I have to bury my nose in my elbow to detect it.
    It is intriguing though.

I periodically see Noa at a good discounted price in store but without a tester.
Sadly, I don’t know why, I’ve never tried it; looking at the notes of the pyramid, however, it seems to me that I might like it.
All your positive reviews encourage me moreover to a next blind buy (I hope it’s similar to Armani Acqua di Giò for women).
    I will update…

Has been my mom’s signature for years, but sadly, on me it last for an hour at most, otherwise it would probably be my signature as well.
Fresh, clean, floral, feminine, powdery, beautiful. What more is there to say?

  15. :

    5 out of 5

I just received this today in the mail and enthusiastically tore the package apart to get a whiff. It’s lovely, but I’m quite surprised by how quiet and gentle the scent is. My previous experiences with Cacharel have been rather contentious–Eden was very loud and screechy on my skin, and it took me some time to enjoy Anais Anais–the strong white florals become a tad bit too screechy on me after a while, and I can only wear it in cooler weather.
Noa, however, is the kind of harmonious composition that never ages and doesn’t seek to shock or offend. It is perfectly content with blending in, and that doesn’t detract from its beauty at all. I get confused when people think powdery scents smell “old”–what’s lovely about this perfume in particular is that I can imagine anyone of any age wearing it, from a 15 year old girl being gifted this as her first grown up fragrance to a sophisticated lady in her 80s who has proudly had this in her collection for decades. Other people mentioned clouds–I agree, there’s something very angelic, sweet, otherworldly, ethereal, dreamy, and creamy about Noa. It’s subtle but light, like a sylph.
Brief tangent, but I remember in one of the original versions of Hans Christian Anderson’s The Little Mermaid, the young mermaid refused to kill her love to save herself. She perished, and became a cloud spirit, where she is told that after 300 years, she will obtain her original wish and become a human. Now, depending on the text you read, “cloud spirit” might become air sprite, and human might become an immortal spirit, but something about the simultaneous grounded comfort and otherworldly dreaminess that Noa brings to my sense of smell reminds me strongly of those cloud spirits and otherworldly realms, and that feeling of comforting goodness and tender affection.
Even now, when smelling Noa, and looking at the pretty bottle next to me, I feel comforted. I rarely judge a perfume by its bottle, but Noa is beautiful in every sense. The spherical bubble-like bottle reminds me of both mermaids and air sprites–it could be something that I can envision a mermaid playing with in a cove or a lagoon while she’s bored. Cacharel really blew this one out of the water (no pun intended). It’s gorgeous and versatile–I really can’t imagine anyone disliking this–and it’s very affordable.
I have rambled on for far too long about Noa, but if I have to put it succinctly, it is like the comforting presence of an old friend you haven’t seen in a long time. Quiet, yes, but because you have nothing to prove. That is because there are some things that don’t have to be said, or are better expressed through silence.

A second review because I am almost finishing my second bottle and will be buying a third one 🙂
Noa is a serene, ethereal, morning-like fragrance. It is a perfect office perfume, but has character, though. Abstract, fresh and floral and calmly energizing at the same time.
I keep buying it because it is one of those beautiful floral woody musks which are bright and cozy and airy and comforting at the same time. An idea which has been played a thousand times in perfumes, but very very very well balanced here.

  17. :

I quite enjoy Noa. I find it difficult to pinpoint the notes, there isn’t any note that stands out dramatically, only a well done blend that smells fresh and current. Noa is a lovely fragrance, soft and demure. I actually find Noa Edt too subtle and too soft for my taste. I ended up giving my bottle away to someone who doesn’t usually wear perfumes and they seemed happy with it.

I’d like waking up at morning weekend, lounging in the bundle of my white cotton sheets, feeling like NOA, so refreshing, and light hearted. Such a lovely, pure and charming fragrance NOA is, with a soft, fluffy cloud of a floral background and a hint of coffee vanilla cream musk, just enough to wake up my morning sense.
NOA appears as a crisp and gentle whisper on my skin. I love Anais Anais and it is very pleasant to also have this NOA in my collection.

This was on my radar for the musk and coffee notes, and then I finally found a price I couldn’t pass up.
It’s been really really hot for Upper Michigan this summer, and this is perfect! It’s strong/good longevity/sillage but never over-whelming/cloying. While I can’t say I get “soapy” or “coffee” or “musk” what I do get is a nice noticeable clean floral. And I love it. It’s not sweet- but it’s not sharp. It’s pretty much perfect for a daytime perfume. It’s not show-stopping or a masterpiece- it’s more nondescript pefumey (like a good shampoo) which isn’t a bad thing. Some days you just need something exactly like this.
I don’t get any fruits or spices, nor any incense. Just happy clean florals. I wholeheartedly agree with the tagline “This fragrances is like a tender whisper, feminine and subtle, weghtless, but with a noticeable presence.”
Fans of Anais Anais that worry AA is “dated” should give this a try. Same feel– clean fresh feminine floral. Put on a summer sundress, let your hair down, and kick off your sandals. <3
My bottle is a 2011. I love the bottle. Unlike the Paco Rabannes (Ultra Violet and Ultra Red) this will stand up on it’s own. WHEW!

Easy like Sunday morning. Sunshine on crisp white sheets, a bubble bath with Ivory soap, morning coffee with cream on the patio. Elegant, clean, appropriate for everything. I really enjoy this.
Note: The version I have is a vintage from 2000, but I’ve heard the formulation hasn’t changed much over the years.

    Noa❤️
I’m sooo happy that I chose you in Europe, amongst my other purchases..
This fits perfectly in winter, dressed warm & feeling cozy..
    I’m not the best with pin pointing notes, but the ones I smell are;
Peony, freesia which mellows well with the ylang-ylang & jasmine, then out comes the glorious rose with coffee, vanilla, sandalwood & tonka bean.
Yes I listed a few notes, but I swear it’s what my nose smells 🙂
She’s amazing, gorgeous, feminine & lady like!!!
    I believe in you NOA❤️

“cuddly” soapy musk + something milky (after half an hour I’ve realized this is just a drop of sweet cappuccino)
Good “office scent”. More agreable than 212 by Herrera.

  23. :

    3 out of 5

I don’t really know how to describe Noa as accurately as possible because of its chameleonic nature. The clean, fresh linen-like musk stands out the most in this composition, that’s for sure. The other notes take turns to shine. Sometimes I find Noa powdery and comforting, sometimes I get an aldehydic accord. Either way, it never smells the same. Noa is not, by any means, a simple, linear scent- the rich pyramid is reflected in every minute of me wearing it. I like it a lot for summer.

  24. :

Powdery floral with a soft peachy sweetness.
Office-friendly, perfect for spring and early summer.
Don’t smell the coffee instead my nose captures an anise-like note.
Unfortunately, week sillage for me. Barely recognizable after 4 hours.
Something resembles Lanvin eclat at first spray.
    Most enjoyed in your 20s.
    A safe blind-buy option.

From my endless wanderings in perfume and cosmetics shops my eye has been catching this little white pearlescent and translucent round of a bottle, with the small pebble on the top, which I always thought it comes off so you can spritz away. As it turned out I just press on the pebble. There were more flankers next to it, but for the near future I might need the original.
Such a soft cottony floral with a subtle touch of spice-bitterness that dissapears after ten-fifteen minutes. I did catch some lily out of the white florals, but it’s mostly a white musk perfume with a general floral background. I see peony listed here; personally I’m not very fond of peony, but it seems to work here, at least it doesn’t bother me here. Clean, cream-like, pure, white, sensual. You are having a bath and you’re lathering your body with thick white soapy foam: this is Noa. Bliss!

  26. :

bitter oakmoss top then a very very dry weird fragrance like plastic, musk and cocoa powder mixed together, the coffee takes on a chocolatey note but not gourmand, in a dry bean way, some vague hard to detect floral that probably is freesia; dries down to a sort of vomit scent on me; I have vintage and wonder if it’s gone off; some citrus, too; drydown gets better but getting there is rough

  27. :

    5 out of 5

Noa is musky, delicate, with a perceptible floral hint (is it peony, or lily or the Valley?) in the dry down.
Noa can take me to a dreamy place, where everything is so simple yet magical!
Uncomplicated, yet complex, Noa transports you to that exact moment in life when you believe dreams can still come true.

‘This fragrance is like a tender whisper’ Literally though, because i sprayed it around three hours ago, and it’s disappeared. Most likely i’m anosmic to this, which is a shame. It opens beautifully, i instantly got a fresh out the shower creamy soap smell (not cheap soap either) with a hint of cut grass. The coffee note gives it an edge. But unfortunately on me it didn’t last long enough to develop into anything else.

I’ve never tested this before, but it turned out to be an amazing gem. Smells soapy clean, white and rich flowers, a little musky and hypnotic. I don’t get any coffee smell unfortunately. But i’m not complaining ^_^ It’s a safe blind buy and great for spring time.

This is my second review because I have re-tested & as my previous review mentions, I wondered if it had been on the shelf too long. Since re-testing with a fresh bottle at a reputable store I can confirm the previous bottle I had was either a copy, had expired or been exposed to high temperature.
I can now say that I adore Noa & everything about it from the stunning bottle to the light, pretty but clean scent.
It comes accross very pure which is a refreshing change from everything else in my collection.

    Puffy and fluffy.
..now let me ramble a little. Past year was a very evolving year fragrance wise for me. I came to realise what kind of scents, notes I like. Still learning what works best on my skin, and learned that there are fregrances that I get bored of quick although they’re nice, but there are also those that you can just feel you’ll love them forever. My preference changed quite a bit from my taste before, which was gourmand- just anything sweet and nothing else. I also started to realise how fregrances influence  my emotions. The way NOA seems to make me feel went from a like to love in about three days of wearing it. Will keep this around for a very very….long time.
It’s creamy, musky, relaxing, energising, fresh (coffee note), manages to be snuggly and just so easily werable.

It´s nice to read those positive reviews below because I´ve heard so many times that Noa is really uninteresting, soapy & that it smells like Nivea Creme. As for me, Noa is a retro/classy scent, highly feminine & soft.
Yes, maybe it´s not a crowd-pleaser – but it´s a timeless scent that can be appropriate for any occasion, it´s semisweet & powdery, pleasantly floral with a trace of smoky coffee – I guess sometimes we all need an inoffensive & pleasant scent like Noa, am I right?

Beautiful bottle which is why I bought it. Sadly the sent either did not agree whith my skin or it just isn’t my type.
I found it very soapy & spicy at the same time which gave me head aches.
I persisted with it just incase because I loved the bottle.
Curious to know if the bottle I purchased may have been on the shelf too long prior?
Would love to get oppinions 🙂

Two of my closest friends used to wear Noa back in the late ‘90s – early ‘00s. I never wore it myself, as it was too soft for me, but I liked it on them and I remember very well how it used to smell – very fresh-floral and somewhat soapy/musky, but with a nice subtle coffee undertone (back then coffee notes weren’t used in gourmand concoctions!) Anyway, the years went by, and Noa kind of fell off the radar. But yesterday I saw it at my local pharmacy – heavily discounted – and decided to give it a shot. Sadly, Noa has been reformulated. Compared to how I remember it from some twenty years ago, it is now much sharper and brassier and smells more like a body deodorant spray than a proper perfume. Pity.

  42. :

    4 out of 5

Soft and inobtrusive with light projection and sillage…this is a lovely, cozy, around-the-house kind of perfume. It starts out as a sweet white floral at first spritz and then develops into creamy coffee and musk after about 15 minutes of wear.

  43. :

    4 out of 5

Noa is a unique and original fragrance for me. In addition, for two strange reasons. Firstly, it’s one of the few perfumes, in which I can hardly recognize fragrance notes. Secondly, the smell isn’t like my favourites, and it still captivates me.
Some time ago, I read that it’s the smell of a mother, the smell of a woman dealing with family and home. There’s something about it… but not quite.
Really, Noa is the smell of the beautiful thirty and forty-year-old. This is how the fulfilled woman smells – a happy wife and an alluring lover of her husband, a wonderful mother of her children, a friend who always has time for coffee in the city and shopping with her friends.
It’s the smell of the woman that others admire, which men desire, and by which other women are jealous.
The scent is durable, but close-skin, so only for the chosen ones …

  44. :

    3 out of 5

I myself am into rather heavier scents… orientals, gourmands, slightly masculine notes, moderate sweet fragrances. I didn’t expect pretty much anything. Boy, I just love when I get proved wrong when it comes to not having high expectations from perfumes.
After the spray I got slapped by delicate musk and green notes. It was so pure, so fresh, so gentle and soft. I felt like I just cuddled up into washed clothes.
As the scent settled a bit I started to notice coffee undertone – not sweet, not heavy, not bitter, but quite dark, some peony to it. Everything milded by a bit of vanilla and spiced up by very light woodsy notes.
To be honest I can’t really get jasmine from this (what a pity), but that’s just my personal wish to have it otherwise.
Definitely spring suitable. I know with that coffee note I should probably say it’s warm, but coffee and dark chocolate evokes coldness in me when smelling it. At some point it reminds me of BVL Notte, which was sadly discontinued. Luckily, this one is still out there and I think I will snap a bottle, it’s a bargain.
    Well done Mr. Creps!

I find the reformulation (currently available version) very screechy. I remember how Noa was in early 2000s. It was a rather natural smelling, creamy, warm, glowing scent. Nowadays it’s overly dry, sharp, suffocating, artificial and a soapy+woody+spicy creation in that.

Wow, what a soft scent. I mean that in the best way possible. When I see coffee notes, I tend to think the scent is likely to be a bit heavier, but in this, that’s not the case.
It’s a very soft white floral musky scent with an underlying woody green coffee base. The coffee isn’t freshly brewed, but it’s just a waft of coffee upon opening up a fresh tin. From afar. It’s not a strong coffee, but it works beautifully in this composition as a coffee essence, or coffee musk, if you will.
I couldn’t imagine this scent before sniffing it even if I tried to. I did try to and failed to understand what I would receive. Also, the bottle is absolutely gorgeous and unique. I love the little pearl inside.
It’s interesting that the nose behind this fragrance is the nose behind many iconic scents like Light Blue, Midnight Poison, Angel, Kenzo Amour, Elle, Black Opium, and others. I really enjoy all of them although Black Opium is a bit redundant to me (it is nice though). Maybe this Olivier guy really does know a thing or two about the magic of perfumes. 🙂
I cannot stop sniffing my wrists. When I first tried it, I thought maybe I got a fake because I couldn’t smell anything. It is subtle, but it’s very much there! It doesn’t try to be in-your-face. It’s like a cloud goddess hugged me.

This one has been n my want list for sooo long, I was sure I would be sadly disappointed. Lucky for me, I was not!
This scent was exactly what I dreamed it would be. <3 Noa is a soft white floral but it has a earthy, green depths to it. Noa is a beautiful puzzle. I sniff and re-sniff my wrist trying to pin down each of these enchanting notes, but why do that when I can just enjoy the sweet bliss that is Noa. It is floral, but with an invigorating twist. I can remember the glossy magazine ads for this fragrance… it looked magical and ethereal. And I find that this describes Noa exactly. She is lovely, charming and always leaves you wanting more.

One of my favorite perfumes. I must have a cheap nose, high end perfumes like Amouage and Serge Lutens doesn’t work for me but Noa, a perfume that you can find at Ross/TJ Maxx, smells amazing. I like this scent so much because it pretty and subtle; it is not an attention seeker. It makes people want to snuggle up next to you, but I guess it is expected when it smells like soft powdery floral. I might even say this perfume is kind of wholesome and have that good girl vibe, I definitely don’t picture a clubbing girl wearing this.

For a long time I thought Noa was an uninteresting fragrance. Spoiler: I was wrong. Maybe I didn’t try it in the right mood, maybe I used old tester bottles or maybe Noa just needs to develope on the skin for a minute, as the very first blast has a neutral alcoholic smell to my nose. I’m not sure.
Anyways, when I finally gave it a chance on my skin I discovered a beautiful perfume. It’s musky, creamy and slightly floral. Not soapy, but very clean, like you just showered with a classic white shower cream, maybe something by Nivea or Dove.
But what really sets Noa apart from other clean musks is the delicious distinctive coffee note. It’s just like fresh good quality coffee beans, neither like stale office coffee nor like a sugary frappuccino.
I can’t really single out any other notes. They’re all blended beautifully into a background of creamy florals and light warm notes, so the coffee and musk combination really shines. I dislike lily of the valley and I’m happy to say I don’t notice it here.
To me, Noa is a soft perfume that shows its beauty more when it isn’t sprayed too lightly. But it’s so cheap nowadays that I’d be allright with that. Maybe I’ll get a bottle when I’m in the mood for a new musk.

I love the initial white musk blast and it seems like there’s something quite interesting hiding beneath waiting to peak out, but then 2 minutes later I can’t smell a thing. Completely gone. I’m guessing I’m anosmic to this. Very disappointing.

Not terrible, I like it for what it is. But I think this is the culprit for my headaches as of late. It’s a winter/fall scent, very soft/pearly, definitely can see why the marketing for it works. Might try another Cacharel though. Bye bye, pearlie.

When you think of classics, this one should be amongst the top 5 of the list. At the time Noa was launched, I was around 5/6 years old. Then not yet concerned with fragrances of course. However, I remember I was hypnotised by the advertisement on tv. It
