Believe my decant was from 30ml bottle. I think this one is a great starter oud. It’s blended perfectly with the other notes so the typical rough and scratchy bandaid tone noticeable in oud isn’t really there. But what you’re smelling is still oud.
I found best success when this when put onto fabric and left to dry down for the night. I swear, the smell is absolutely heavenly. I had applied it to my housecoat one evening and when I put it on the following morning the smell was like a beautiful, creamy and sparkling amber sandalwood. I can’t really describe it. It was like ‘light’ in perfume form that made me think of orange bokeh, glitter or seeing light through orange glass. More an impression than anything.
It’s really wonderful. Seriously, put it on fabric and give it a day to bloom, its completely dreamy.

I hated this the first time I tried it. The Oud-sandalwood combination was very masculine to my nose and generally quite challenging for a girl who likes floral-orientals and gourmand fragrances.
But I revisited this recently and I have to say, it is beautiful. Just give it time to unfold on warm skin and let the magic happen.
The top note is a fairly decent quality Oud and not much else. That woodiness comes off weirdly chemical on my skin, so based on the initial 20-30 minutes, I wouldn’t wear this. But then the loveliest sandalwood starts to mingle in, followed by musk, amber and a subtle fruitiness which smells like sweet oranges to my nose.
Night Dreams is the perfect name for this fragrance. It is perfectly suited to stepping out of a warm bath and slipping in to something more comfortable in preparation for a long, dream-filled sleep. Soothing, warming, full of hidden depths. Love.

Thank u Shwets, I read your first review. I wanted to buy also the 25 ml version, but if you have the both of them, and they change only for this cumin note, I’m noT buying it. I don’t like this spice in perfumes, nor saffron. Initially I thought that the 25ml had real oud and the 30ml not. I don’t understand why in the al haramain website oud doesn’t appear among the notes of this fragrance. You know, the day after it was delivered, I ordered other 3 bottles.. I Think for the next 4 lives it’s enough with Night Dreams. I agree that the oil version is always better than the edp. Thanks a lot Shwets

To Bobby jean, i had both the 25 ml and 30 ml bottle.
If you read my review below, the main difference between the two was that the 25ml one had a strong cumin note that i couldn’t get over. That was lacking in the 30ml one (or that it was toned down – if i couldn’t smell it). Cumin in perfumes is a deal breaker for me so i was pleased when i smelt it again in the 30ml one. Apart from that, both smelt the same.
The gold bottle one which is the spray version, is the same scent (cannot remember whether high in cumin), but i recall preferring the oil version more. Plus if my memory serves me right, the spray didnt last as long in comparison.

On the Al Haramain website I saw that the 30 ml version (the only available there) does not contain oud! Then I suppose that the older 25 ml version does. I’d like to know if someone of you tested both of them and which are the differences. I got the silver one, 30 ml, it’s such a misterious fragrance, already from the first time I’ve been totally crazy for it. I’d like to try also the gold version, in order to comparate them. Thanks to everyone will help me to understand.

I came across a perfume counter in the Dubai airport on a transit and spent my time testing several scents. Found some too loud and thick with oud(which i have mixed feelings about).. and Night Dreams was one of them, wasnt too impressed(probably because i smelled like 6 to 7 scents within half hour..) I then boarded the following flight and forgot about the scents. A few hours after, i smelled Night Dreams and totally fell for it.. It was so well done and smelled classy. I regretted not purchasing it in Dubai. I searched for it online and was REALLY lucky to find someone selling this off at a ridiculous price of $8 Singapore dollars! I met and made the deal on that very same day and never looked back! This scent lasts really long but for the local weather, i can only use it at nights though..Maybe that’s why its named as such. Loving this more every time i wear it.

I blind bought this because of the good reviews and relatively cheap price. Honestly I think this perfume is certainly a safe bet and is unlikely to offend anyone unless you use too much of it. I got the 30ml oil.It comes in a beautiful designer bottle made of metal. The dipstick is also metal and not glass like in other arabian perfumes. At first the perfume smelt very familiar like i have smelt it before. If you buy the oil please use it in very small quantities like a drop. This perfume smells best from a distance. If you smell it from too close for too long it can give you a headache. I don’t recommend applying it on the front of your neck as you will be constantly smelling it and it can get tiring. The perfume opens with a strong cuminy and sandalwoody smell and stays this way for a couple of hours at least. It later evolves into something very clean and fresh smelling. As I said for this perfume the best smell you get is what you can smell at a distance or when you move around and it gets diluted with air. If you try smelling the area of application it smells super strong and sandalwoody+incensey. But in the air it leaves a gorgeous floral fresh smell. This to me is certainly a summer/day scent preferably worn on a warm day outdoors. Given the ultra small quantity you need of this stuff I think 30 ml will last you a bit too long. I recommend saving your money and getting a decant on ebay if possible. Also maybe its just me but i cant smell any oud in this l can primarily smell cumin sandalwood incense and some floral fresh smell later.

Hands down my most favourite attar in Al Haramain house, – warm-woody-spiritual sandalwood and musk are blended with very soft erotic oud, I could easily give away all my “collection” of oils, leaving just Night Dreams and Ajmal’s Alf Lail o Lail.
Perfectly suits to the image of Middle East in my imagination.

This is East meets West. Sweet oud and musk with Aussie sandalwood. Smells very Eastern initially and then dries down to a more familiar Western scent. Quite nice.

This perfume oil (and spray is the same scent) really shows its beauty after several hours of wear. Initially its like cumin-ny on my skin but dries down to this gorgeous musky cleany scent that lasts till the following day. The time it takes to get to that stage is far too long but strongly recommended for those wanting to try an Arabic oil that is low in oud and sugariness.
Very supreme quality which never aggravates my allergies. You need to let this sit on your skin for an hour to make up your mind.
Update: I ended up purchasing this in 30ml perfume oil which doesn’t have the heavy cumin note that I detected previously. That was present in the 25ml bottle. So I wonder whether the 30ml one is a reformulation and before the oil appeared thicker. Still smells how I remember with great longevity. Just that cumin note seems less. Would need to confirm by trying the 25ml one when next in my reach.
