I really like this scent. It actually smells a bit like Sweet Pea. It’s simple. White floral, musky, and a bit sweet.

What a great find this little treasure is. I was walking through our local family Dollar store and saw this sitting on a shelf next to all of the designer impostors.
That little voice inside my head that tells me to give it a sniff was mostly ignored until I finally caved in and went back over to the display.
I was expecting a cheap bathroom air freshener, what I got blew me away! I looked in my purse for my Kim Kardashian and sprayed a bit on my wrist and then sprayed the New Musk on the other and took another walk around the store. I was astonished at the similarity! I could spray on my KK before I leave the house and use this one as a touch up at work! YAY!!
It’s a lovely white flower fragrance that works even in the Georgia summer and I’m so glad that I listened to that little voice in my head.

A lovely scent that’s far better than its drugstore price. The musk is definitely only a background element.
This is also the longest lasting perfume I’ve encountered. I’ve put it on in the morning and was still able to detect a trace of it the next morning.

A sweet but not sugary, successful blind buy for me. I get more floral than actual musk, and the musk is quite light. I would not describe the musk as distinctly white or civet-style, but rather well blended with the floral top notes. I am somehow drawn to pink coloured perfumes – note sure why, but there you go.

This really reminds me of Magnolias blooming, it smells more expensive than it is. I really do like it, let’s see if my boyfriend does.

What a bargain; much better than most of the body sprays from Bath & Body Works or Victoria’s Secret. The “Daft Punk”-esque bottle is a hoot (read: tacky), but it contains soft, floral-musk goodness. I purchased it as a cheap thrill, and I’m not disappointed.
A little bit goes a long way. It is a well balanced mix of white floral and musk. I will definitely use it by adding it to the repertoire of “relaxed” perfumes for weekends or vacations.
P.S. There is also a “New Musk for Men” from Prince Matchabelli which is not similar in scent, but equally pleasant. The “for Men” version has a citrus aquatic opening, but it does dry down to a warm, sweet, musk scent.

I’m sort of shocked that no one has called this “old lady” perfume because it’s a floral with a musk base. (I’m very against max ages in fragrance reviews or the dreaded old lady tag, btw, it just surprises me that no one has said something like that)
I’ve been attracted to white florals for quite awhile, and this is a very good example.
Sure, it’s a cheapy available all over the place, but I agree with other posters who say that it’s a great alternative to more pricey scents. On me, there’s perhaps a bit more musk than on others, especially at dry down, but there’s not a whole lot… Just a hint to “level out” the flowers.
To me, this seems like one of the best kept fragrance secrets hiding in plain sight out there.
A bright, cheerful pick-me-up for cool, rainy days, but beware in high heat & humidity… It can get pretty big. Also, proceed with caution (try out lightly and low on your body) if you are headache prone with white florals)

I have been wearing the B&B Works Velvet Tuberose lotion all day today and my daughter just told me it smells EXACTLY like the body spray I used to wear all the time when we would sit and snuggle and watch “Anne of Green Gables” and drink tea together when she was little. She was having a total scent memory! So sweet! (She is 20 now!) It must be the strong white floral/tuberose/gardenia association. Anyway, I thought if someone couldn’t find this or that, they could be substituted or interchangeable. Both are heady, long lasting and lovely fragrances which don’t cost much at all and provide such scent pleasure! Besitos! xo

New Musk blew me away after testing it years ago in a cvs. It smelled so pleasant I had to go back later in the day to buy this one because I couldn’t stop thinking about it. It’s one of those scents you are surprised how good it actually does smell and for so cheap a price. Has to be one of prince matchabelli’s best. This is a diamond in the rough I have to say.

This is a cheap but fantastic perfume. I have always been drawn to musk so its not a stretch for me to like this. On my skin it smell like musk and jasmine and maybe a hint of gardenia. The last time I bought it was at CVS on clearance-for 1.50! If I had known then how much I would have liked it I would have bought all they had left. This is great for everyday. Oh by the way the body spray is not nearly as good.

This is a really lovely scent for a good price. It’s musky with nuances of some sort of florals, can’t really specify what ones exactly. Good sillage and longevity. It’s not a super complicated fragrance, but it’s worth giving a go.
New Musk is very similar to Kim Kardashian’s self titled fragrance and would be a great alternative.

This has a lovely little bottle but the decal on the front makes you think it’s a dollar store fragrance, and that’s too bad. I’m sure a lot of people have passed on this just for that very reason. First blast isn’t so much, five minutes later it’s a WOW scent to me and just keeps getting better and better. I think everything you look for in a perfume, this perfume has. This was only six dollars and it’s the best six bucks I’ve spent in a LONG time! This is good for any age and appropriate for any occasion. I’m sure this will draw the curiousity out of people and they’ll have to ask what scent this is. I hope others try and review this. I’m curious to see what others think or if they agree with me. Already this is a favorite of mine and on my love list!
