Description

In September 2015, Narciso Rodriguez launches the new version of its popular fragrance Narciso Rodriguez for Her from 2003. For Her L’Absolu is a new incarnation of this musky scent, deeper and more seductive, designed for a woman who is strong and passionate.

“The idea for l’absolu was to create an extremely special fragrance with an air of mystery that will endure. For Her L’Absolu embodies the ultimate femininity with a pure grace.”—Narciso Rodriguez.

The composition contains intense floral accords of tuberose and jasmine absolute, the signature musk heart and the base of amber and woody tones of patchouli and sandalwood.

Model Carmen Kass was selected to be the face again. The fragrance is available as 30, 50 and 100 ml Eau de Parfum. It comes in a bottle of the original design, colored in a dark burgundy nuance.
The nose behind this fragrance is Aurelien Guichard.

This is the first NR that is not a love for me. I get a very strong lipstick, old-time boudoir powder scent, which is OK if that is what you like, but not for me. The drydown is a bit better as the sandalwood and amber show thru, but I still get the lipstick/powder. Just not my preference. I do love all the other NR’s I’ve tried, all except Rouge, haven’t tried that one..

What a fragrance…sexy, pungent and very sensual.
at first there is a hit of patchouli and tuberose, then it settle down to this amazing scent of amber and sandalwood….what a beauty. This fragrance is all about its dry down and how well balanced it is… just perfection.
    Long lasting with good silage.

    Whooooaaaaa.
    So nice.
I get the resemblance to Lovely and to the other Narciso Rodriguez scents, but this is so, so, so much better.
Sometimes I get tuberose; then patchouli; then musk. But they are all so beautiful together.
L’Absolu is what all the other Narcisos WISH they had the guts to be…it’s their dark side…it’s what they all want to dress as on Halloween.

My initial impression on NR L’absolu For Her (as well as several other fragrances from this line, e.g. Fleur Musc) wasn’t so great – namely I dismissed L’absolu it as a tuberose overkill. However, I decided to test-wear it for a while, suspecting that it might eventually grow on me – and, that’s exactly what happened.
After a weirdish opening, this quickly settles into a powerful musky tuberose with hints of patchouli and jasmine. It projects magnificently and stays on my skin for at least 6 hours. It is not overly similar to other scents from the NR line, because these mighty white florals are so dominant here. If anything, L’absolu reminds me of how the 1980s smelled like! I was just a girl at the time when women used to wear the original Dior Poison, Cacharel LouLou (created by Aurelien Guichard’s father, Jean Guichard) and other tuberose bombs… Somehow, NR L’absolu has awakened my long-dormant olfactory memories of that era of incredibly perfumey perfumes. It’s not the first time that Aurelien Guichard was inspired by his father’s work. So, if you used to love the original Poison or LouLou, this fragrance should work for you.

My all time favorite perfume is the NR for Her EDP. I purchased a decant of L’absolu thinking I would like it just as much. Upon first spray I was hit with a very fishy smell. It was very off putting, I don’t know what happened there. I tried sniffing the atomizer and I could really smell that fishy aroma so I’m sure it’s not a reaction with my skin. I let it sit on my skin and it did get a bit tolerable as time went on but that initial smell will forever haunt me.

I’m surprised to see so many ppl collecting a very dominant tuberose note in this one… Well I don’t.
I like my tuberose ripe, green and thick. Suffocating, arrogant and un-meddled. This one is very musk heavy, as to be expected from NR, and thick with fuzzy patchouli. There is a sweet and inviting floral quality in it, but hardly a straight up and down colossal tuberose pulling its weight throughout the composition, crushing everything else on its path.
    It is quite non-descript imo.
Gorgeous gorgeous potion, but I like my tuberose to do me right and ride me dirty. This is not that. I highly recommend her as I own all other Narciso colognes (all ‘for Men’ creations) and this beauty will play alongside her brothers quite nicely. A fantastic creation that keeps the line cohesive. The entirety of NR creations is a love letter to that well-polished and expensive musk note that has truly become NR’s very own Guerlinade at this point. A must and a true requisite for his perfumes.
Buy her, but do not hope much green ripe carnal tuberose from her. Can’t wait to layer her w/ some true Tuberose oil or HR for Him Musk (the silver one).

Holy fuckballs. This is some seriously sexy shit, and not many perfumes feel really sexy to me, even when they’re meant to. L’Absolu is very “adults only.” Thick, syrupy, heady. Believe what the reviews say regarding a grapey tuberose and skanky musk. Yet L’Absolu is dark, stylishly goth. Smooth. True to the listed notes. Similar in feel to Dior Poison but less sweet. The smell itself is in the same vein as the EDT but that tuberose just sets off the musk and patchouli perfectly and makes it so special and unique. Outstanding!

I finally found the Narciso for me! I almost loved Narciso the white bottle, that creamy powder was dreamy but the gardenia sometimes went a little too sharp and soapy on me. Here, we have a big bold Grape-y tuberose with a bit of skanky musk! There is something a little retro here but not mature or “old lady” Very similar to narciso for her (black bottle) but that one is more masculine due to the citrus and vetiver this is warmer, stronger , more feminine and performs better for me. Close enough to where you probably don’t need to own both though. This one just loves my skin. Great silage too.

Musky, thick and “plumped” tuberose for sure, with light patchouli and amber. This one absolutely is a L’absolu. It is more intense, voluptuous and stronger than anything else of the For Her line, but also fresh, SMOOTH, and not cloying at the same time. Sillage and longevity are the best of all Rodriguez fragrances. This is definitely a grown women perfume for night or colder month, very deep, rich and seductive. If you are patient with it in the first few minutes from the opening, to let the “fierce” tone settle down, allow the whole composition to open up and develop, you will not regret this beauty. I just could not stop sniffing my wrist afterward.
I love the EDT For Her so much and others as well but I will treasure this L’absolu to its last drop.

  10. :

    3 out of 5

Similar to the original For Her, but with a wallop of skanky tuberose at the beginning. Not as musk-forward as the others.
One thing about this one: I’ve never met a Narciso I didn’t like but this one needs time to settle & dry down in order to be appealing. I find the first spray honestly a little stinky. All the others, I love from first spray… but give this one a little time to air out before you judge.
I do like this one but prefer the original EDP. I also have the Narciso EDT which is lighter, airier, and a higher dose of ambrox – there’s that veil-y woody muskiness that reminds me of Molecule 01. Very much a skin musk, that one.
This one is maybe the most “grown-womanly,” va-va-voom and seductive out of the Narcisos but I don’t think it’s my favorite.

  11. :

    3 out of 5

This reminds me of a lighter version of the eau poudree version in the sense that it is well blended.
A nice musk but not for me.

  12. :

Still shake the bottle after every use to see how much is GONE and will DREAD the day it’s all used up. I’m addicted to this…. I call this one Narciso Addict in my mind.
And YES this smells just like “the black one”.
    Bad reviews…go away ! LOL!!

  13. :

… but this one does stand out from the others because of the tuberouse … huge difference…

  14. :

    4 out of 5

I like NR For Her EDT (black bottle). I hoped I would enjoy NR L’Absolut too because it smelled lovely on a paper. But it’s too sweet, too sugary and gets sour on my skin. So don’t trust the For Her line blindly if you are a lover. You definitely must be fond of tuberose to like L’Absolut.

  15. :

    5 out of 5

I find this to be a “peppery tuberose” to my nose. It does have the animalic tone to it as well. I am NOT liking this one very much…sigh..sigh…
The drydown ends up being a typical light tuberose/floral scent…there is no real development of the notes…oddly blended, I must say,IMO. Average, nothing spectacular scent. Rarely do I get a headache from perfumes…but this is giving one!!

Very sensual scent I love this one…

My first Narciso after “visiting them” frequently at Macy*s & other places!
This is a dangerous perfume. It has a raw kinda purple punch.I love it! It’s a wild animal in a dress !
Not for timid or shy people! This is “NOIR”…it has darkness to it like some TOM FORDS do!
The notes listed don’t seem to match what I’m smelling here– but – whatever…..
    Great “house” ! I want more !

SO I decided that I don’t need this fragrance as I have the edt, and they are quite similar, but!!!! I couldn’t help myself, I am such a hoarder for Narsico’s fragrances!!!
    I’m in love <3
This scent is so cozy, so elegant.

  20. :

I’ve had a strange experience with this fragrance. At first, I got a nice dense floral scent with tamed powdery musk and patchouli background. I loved it and couldn’t stop smelling my wrist.
Within half an hour, all this goodness melted down to a generic musky floral. It stayed this way for several hours and then disappeared completely. Narciso Rodriguez For Her EDP remains my favorite from this line.

  21. :

This is a creamy sweet powdery goodness!

  22. :

    4 out of 5

A boring musk and not much else. This was gone by midday and was completely unremarkable while it lasted. If you’re looking for a musk with a bit more complexity and staying power give Shalimar Souffle a try which is a much more well composed musk in my opinion

  23. :

    3 out of 5

Super Sexy, i find it suits the adults more than young and teenagers.
It is so bold, sexier than the black edt one, & more mature!, the added tuberose is noticeable here, so if you like the NR in general and the tuberose, then this one is absolutely for you!
Awesome, and you will get a ton of compliments when using it!
    Longevity and sillage: V. good.

  24. :

    4 out of 5

This was not good for me, I could sense animalic musk in the vein of Wild Musk with patchouli. The tuberose was drowned in the mix, gasping for air.
Felt quite vintage and familiar, in a 70s way. Not for me but I can see this pleasing quite a few people, however not to the degree the original EDT is loved by so many.

  25. :

    5 out of 5

The opening stinks. Later, it gets better. It turns into a musky white floral, a bit soapy and very thick. A bit too much for me. This is a vampy fragrance. A bit warm from the amber, but still too cold for me. I prefer the white Narciso in the small bottle.
Don’t overspray it, it can easily induce a headache.

  26. :

I was given a chunky purple bottle of this EDP for Christmas.
I wish it would stay in its stage which happens after 5 minutes of the initial application! But nooo it dries down to Just Musk. This takes quite a while and I do like Musk but it is a white musk and is of course, synthetic with no depth.I do like it, but I just want it to be BIGGER.
It is a very feminine scent in my opinion. It has vanilla and rose in its heart. As for animalic- I wish!It is no 1970’s Jicky and just as well because I do not want civet cats to die for me.( but I do want to smell like one)
I really like ‘dirty’ smelling perfumes like Bal A Versailles, and this NR has a little of that, but it is fundamentally very polite.
I do not think I would buy it again ,because it does not last, not sure how other people are making it last, as it just is NOT ( unless you mean the Just Musk bit). It is a very classy green floral initially, very swift drydown to the warmer amber tones and then…. sweeties and musk. The sweeties and musk I can get from a bottle of Ghost Deep Night, thanks.
I also have a bottle of Narciso Rodriguez for her( pink bottle) and I am sad to say, the longevity is terrible on that too, and I end up backing it up with Milton Lloyd’s Cuba which lasts forever even though it is monocular in its vision.

  27. :

    3 out of 5

The scent is pleasant but not better than for her of 2003. The sillage and longevity are weak.

  28. :

    3 out of 5

The most prominent is the patchouli at first, but after an hour it mellows down and lets the musk take the center stage. I also smell a slight pepper spice note.
I love the confidence this fragrance gives. Sophistication, high class, wealth comes to mind. The sillage is moderate to heavy, it wraps around like a soft cashmere scarf. The patchouli is clean, luxurious.

I have just ordered my second 100 ml bottle which is a surprise for me since I’ve been downsizing for years and I’m really aiming for a minimalistic wardrobe by now. But what to do when you have found real love? When I first tried it out it didn’t smell as I had expected at all, and I was slightly disappointed. It was a blind buy and I expected a sweet tuberose fragrance with a touch of patchouli but what I got wasn’t as sweet and flowery as I had hoped for. Instead I found it rather dry, smokey and quite abstract. But the more I used it the more I fell in love with it and the components that I had been looking for started to show themselves in full strength. The patchouli is quite prominent in the opening and it takes a little while for it to settle but once it does you will have a sweet, musky and the most sensual fragrance ever. It does not smell like the fragrances I usually buy: 80’s big ballsy florals and florientals that smells like flower bouquets. Narciso l’Absolu is different, I like to think that the composition is modernistic, like an abstract art piece that doesn’t attempts to imitate nature at all. Perfect.

Ok so this is my very first womens scent that i purchased. I wish it did not say „for her“ on the bottle. But to be totally honest, i just don‘t care and scraped „for her“ text off the bottle. Because to me this scent is amazing.
It is so musky, deep and sexy in a unique and sophisticated way.
L’Absolu is more deeper and potent than the EdT and EdP versions.
The jasmine is playing more in the background while the musk, tuberose and patchouli are very strong and dominant.
Longevity is fantastic. This could for sure work as a unisex.

  31. :

    4 out of 5

Floral with prominent tuberose and hints of jasmine notes and musk in the drydown… like the usual Narciso, perfumes long lasting and great sillage.

  32. :

Heavy warm musk and patchouli thats all I could smell, reminds me of Gucci by Gucci with the same basic hint.

  33. :

    5 out of 5

Angry at myself for not realising how amazing this was in the first place.
Its hard to describe the notes blend together like some sort of magic elixir.
I find it only has a small similarity to the black edt.
Its strong slightly animalic musk with a sweet grapey undertone.
It smells so sexy to me.

  34. :

    3 out of 5

This was like an amplified version of the original pink bottle edp. I just couldn’t stomach the musk on paper and so I haven’t got an idea of the dry down.
I’ll stick to the orginal edt in the black bottle.

  35. :

    4 out of 5

This perfume is a representation of class, elegance and msytery. This perfume tells something when u smell it. Provocative in a way that when a man or any person smells it, itll drive their senses to discover more. Hypnotical scent that must be in every women’s collection. This is my signatures perfume and whenver i wear it i instantly become a Cosmic Goddess.

  36. :

    5 out of 5

it is bold and intense, very intense. Actually I realized that although I like this scent is difficult for me to spray when I have choices of easier fragrances to wear….It is like too much and too intense, very strong and at a certain point I am not sure if other people like it when they smell it… or maybe it is just me
I will not buy it again

  37. :

    4 out of 5

Upon spraying it on my skin, I smelled musk. That note starts to fade within a couple of minutes and fresh jasmine & tuberose come forward without being overwhelming. The deliciousness continues with a sweetness of sandalwood wrapped in light amber. This is one of the most addictive fragrance I’ve smelled. It makes me feel sexy and want to smell like this all the time.

  38. :

    4 out of 5

Quietly cool and goes a bit sweet. Gentle.
Perhaps has the undertones of the other narsiso for her bottles, but this isn’t as floral and cool.
Sits close to the skin, but is lasting ok so far, sprayed on. On pulse point two huors sgo.

  39. :

    3 out of 5

    Bold, unique, magnificent!
    Edit:
After the first strong feeling that I’ve experienced already for a week, I can also describe it.
At first spray a cloud of tuberose and jasmine with green nuances emerge and lasts 2-3 hours. By and by musc takes its place in the composition and dances a while with the flowers which then tame but not disapear, letting amber and lightly sweet sandalwood come in. A hint of patchouli gives a fine edge to the whole mixture. After 4-5 hours it all turns into this gorgeous dark burgundy velvet that wraps me kindly and conquers me completely until the next morning when the scent still lingers in my hair. Totally enchanted and addicted! I am so in love

absolutely beautiful fragrance!! I have the EDT which I adore but I find after the first hour it settles right down to a skin scent. This is like the first spray of the EDT for at least 4 hours I absolutely adore it and I find I don’t usually love perfumes straight out of the bottle so it really is something special. so sexy but not in the usual overly sweet, sugary/vanilla based fragrances. I snap all NR FH and all the variations whenever they are on sale for fear of running out!

  41. :

    3 out of 5

I like the original one, I can never remember exactly which version, I *think* the edt but I can’t be too sure since I don’t own it, and I’m not sure if the sample sprays I had echoed the bottles or the boxes!
Anyhow, this smells a lot like one of those had a little baby with a piece of Turkish delight. It’s has a rosy sweetness that other one doesn’t have.
    I really like it.
I don’t think it has the lasting power of the other.
I think the original scent and this one do draw people in as everyone tends to be nice when wearing them.
Finally, I have to vent my frustration at scent houses who give everything a similar name: Narciso Rodriguez is one and Boss is another. Males in my family own some Boss scents. Do I know/remember which ones?! No. Can I buy said scents for birthdays without ruining the surprise, no! Do they know what they are called? No! For goodness sake people, give them names!

  42. :

This is a modernistic and MATURE tuberose perfume, on a nice AMBER, musk, and patchouli background. An ideal companion to formal attire in offices. Serious, ladylike, and expensive smelling.
Don’t judge it during the first 20 minutes, as it begins very animalic and debatable. But by time, it dramatically changes from controversial to addictive. I like that creamy makiage vibe it holds during the addictive phase.
Unfortunately, it looses part of the sillage when becoming addictive, but it stays close to the skin for long.

  43. :

    3 out of 5

First smelled it in the Paris airport Duty Free….at that time, I found it to be the most revolutionary scent on the ladies market, modern vibe of the past…only Mystere de Rochas ever felt so ahead of everything else!

  44. :

    5 out of 5

First spray, I get a huge blast of musk. Five minutes in, I see the tuberose appear, followed by some sort of bubble gum smell. I really never see the sandalwood appear, or the patchouli. Overall, the scent is very nice though. It is more of a classic “per-fumy” smell, just clean and fresh with flowers. Like a high end soap. Very refreshing, to have something that is neither sweet like candy or cake or food. Definitely no pre-teen scent going on here. This is wearing jeans and a white cotton T-shirt in the spring breeze, while barefoot on the beach.

Skin chemistry really changes this one apparently! On me, it smells like sweet boozey bourbon and faintly of tobacco, sort of a high end whiskey bar is what comes to mind when I put it on. The first time I wore it I wasn’t crazy about it, but the second and third times it was love.

Ever heard “there’s always that one person that will always have your heart (even when you cant call him/her yours)”? That is exactly how i feel about this perfume.
Tried it once around few months ago. Loved it but i was crazy in YSL Cinema & Jour d’Hermes by then. However i often think about this scent (like having dinner with ur beautiful boyfriend but u think about another guy).
I had holidays in Paris last month and a lady in Sephora spritzed this on me. Holy crap it feels like im in love again, but deeper and i want to have it forever! This is a tuberose bomb (I usually not a fan of it tho), the musk also heavy on my skin. Very sweet but not girl-next-door kind of sweet. The ‘darkness’ and creaminess blended well and turn it to an expensive and very ladylike scent.
An alpha lady, classy, mysterious, seductive but hard-to-get, high maintenance, successful career woman who loves to attend high-level party and surrounded by gorgeous crowd, fierce but kind-hearted ladyboss. You name it.
I love the reaction of people when i enter the room and catch them turn their head, deep inhale with face full of thoughts: who’s entering the room? This smell is a killer! The sillage is crazy on my skin. Somehow makes me feel guilty if the scent is way too strong/overpowering, but then i tell myself : if loving you is wrong, i dont want to be right! Deal with that.
From top to drydown i absolutely LOVE IT!

  48. :

I really like this one. I’d been coveting this perfume for quite a while, and was very lucky to be able to get a bottle on special at David Jones. I found it rather sweet when it first went on, but after an hour or so, it settled into a lovely warm, creamy, almost buttery jasmine-amber scent. For some reason, I got a faint hint of orange in this, which is quite pretty. It smells pricey, which it is, although not nearly as expensive as some I’ve seen, and considering the longevity of this, I think it’s good value. I met some friends for dinner the other night and wore this out, and they all wanted to know what I was wearing because “wow, you smell SO nice!” And yesterday, one of our students commented on it as well, so I gave her a spritz – she really liked it. I’m generally not too keen on fragrances with tuberose in the top notes as I sometimes find it a bit cloying and sweet, but this isn’t at all. Longevity is excellent – after 12 hours it was still there, softer but still noticeable and still lovely. Sillage and projection are great – not overpowering or in your face, just lovely, gentle, beautifully-scented wafts. This is a beautiful, lush, feminine scent, and I’m very glad that I now have this in my stable!

Really ? When I make this review, 37 peoples said it’s like EDT in a Black bottle. I really dont said.
This burgundy has a bomb and beautiful of Narciso perfume line.
Save your money a lot, only had 1 spray , I feel like I’m drowning in it. (Whats wrong my nose…??) Once again..my husband said it was too strong. Heavy.
Oh c’mon….I love the bottle colour. Became softer after 3 hours.
Believe me it’s not like an Edt Black one. Not at all
Sprayed at 6.30 pm, still smell it when I woke up.
    Air conditioner at 24°C

So I went and tested this twice and in the first 30 mins the smell sort of repulsed me. I couldn’t even bear to smell my wrist. It’s got this wild animalic smell… It’s too primitive for me. Then it turns nice and ladylike. Tuberose/gardenia and musk I think n leather too? But now that I’ve got it… Well, It lasts at least 6 hours on me. And silage? Great I suppose. The first day I wore it at work (dental office and mind you I have to wear a headscarf in my country and I change my clothes and headscarf at work) I had sprayed 3 times on my neck and nape at home after shower and a very attractive young man at the office looked at the me in the eyes and said ‘There’s a perfume smell… It smells like Maxi cologne that I used to wear when I was younger'(He wasn’t even that close to me and I couldn’t smell anything on myself). He looked like he meant well and was giving me a compliment but… 🙁 Maxi is an old cologne from 70s. I’d also thought that this perfume smelled like Maxi the day before! He confirmed it. So strange. But that’s a cheap cologne and I don’t like it. I believe the tester smelled better. I think I’ll like it in time.
Update: I returned mine. I got sick of it. I love a tuberose perfume but this wasn’t it.

    EDITED VERSION
Heavy, warm and rich musk, tuberose and jasmine in the opening. From top to dry down are musky, floral and woody scent. A very beautiful, delicate, seductive, warm and sexy scent. Absolutely bolder than original EDP and EDT. Surprisingly, after two hours it’s bit closer to Miss Dior Le parfum. Whatever, i love Narciso line

Love it!! Its reminiscent of Narciso Rodriguez for her EDT but with that sweet tuberose. I always find it hard to describe NR perfumes because they’re all very artfully blended. When you think you can’t smell it anymore, bam, it keeps coming back. I’m trying to talk my boyfriend iinto trying it because it has a unisex vibe.

    For me, a killer.
I was thinking about wearing NR for Her, but i am really gonna buy this one for good. I am a man but hey, what a piece of art !
Heavy on the tuberose, be warned.

I usually at least like NR scents, but this one is not very good in my opinion. Strong tuberose, musky and lots of patchouli as well.
It’s smoky, as other reviewers have said. Also mysterious and dark, kind of alluring scent. I’m more into bright and fresh, “a breath of fresh air” kind of scents, so this can’t be it for me.
Too much tuberose and musk for me.

You accidentlly walked into shadowy alley of an innocent garden and you’ve started sinking in the creamy sin. It feels wrong yet so right. Yes, Alice, you’ve found your mirror world.

Smoky scent, reminds of something from channel, maybe chanel black… Too chypre for me.

I got this as a present because I love all Narsico Rodriguez fragrances. This is my least favorite. Tuberose starts out really strong. It toook me few weeks to start liking it. It really grows to a pleasent Narsico musk in few hours, and it lasts. Definetely winter, evening fragrance. Not a blond girls summer fragrance.I would call it Narsico Rodriguez Noir.

Hmmm, for me this is more Narcisso EDP then For Her. It keeps that Narcisso EDP touch quite devoted, though this one is a bit more…. casual in my opinion. Definitely a Rodrigues scent, the only minus point is the projection and lasting power which on me are both little less than what I am used to from the house, which does not mean anything bad. A daily, easy wear, nonoffending fragrance, little different than many around there.

I adore NR perfumes, and Narciso EDP EDT are my all time loves. This one does not work for me. I am beginning to realise that Amber, Patchouli Heavy tuberose & Jasmine are featuring in perfumes that do sit well on my skin. At least I won’t have to save up for this one! This may be a good choice for those that are not sure about the other fragrances in the line because this one smells very different to me; and someone else might get all the musky goodness of NR but with notes that they love.

This is predominantly a play between musk and tuberose with a hefty addition of jasmine. To my nose tuberose starts strong at the beginning along with musk while at a later stage jasmine and musk run their course to the end with the sandalwood creamy and smooth. I like the musk note here, typical of Narciso, neither heavy nor clean, just beautiful. Though I prefer the one in the square white bottle (I don’t think there are any similarities, Narciso in my opinion is more ethereal ), this is a nice and very wearable scent, especially for those who love tuberose. Excellent sillage and longevity.

Let’s get this straight from the get go, I am not a fan of Narciso Perfumes usually, but my goodness, this scent is something else. It’s creamy, feminine, alluring, sexy and delicious. I adore this. The opening is like a traditional Narciso perfume, but the dry down is divine. I cannot stop sniffing my wrist. Vanilla, white floral, honey, musk, tuberose – all combining to make a beautiful, expensive smelling perfume. I’m in love.

It’s based on musk like the most of NR scents, but I think that flowers dominate in this scent. It’s truly nice and creamy, good for cold season. However, some of its notes bother me. I guess it’s tuberose. Again.

Unbelievably the drydown smells like YSL KOUROS POUR HOMME.

It started just like NR for her EDP, if you have the for her EDP you will get that impression, but after a while ( 2 hours for me), it started to get slightly bitter. If you like perfume with contrary aspects, it might worth a sniff before owning the big bottle.

Sorry guys but I so don’t agree with these reviews. I can’t wear the original Narcisso Rodriguez no matter how much I wanted to, but this is perfect. I smell dark fruits, musk and a hint of patchouli. Without being crude this is how I want to smell after the most amazing sex. This is definitely for a confident sexy woman. I am in love.

I tried this in Sephora and it smelled like a bitter kind of perfume with a zesty fresh twist which seemed lovely, perfect for autumn…so I decided to order a 100 ml bottle online, for almost $100 of my hard earned money. Where’s the zesty twist? Its just a bitter, leathery with an odd sweet side perfume…where’s the fun? Its so linear (boring) and it doesnt last long either.
For something called L’absolu (the absolute), Mr. Rodriguez, and at $ 100 a bottle I would’ve expected LUXURY -more sillage, more lasting power, more intricacy, something to make my head spin. I’m feeling disappointed (and guilty for the spend)…
If you want something musky woody try Lanvin – Rumeur or if you want leathery try Ralph lauren – Notorious at a third of the price…
I’m done with overspending for something that doesnt deliver, after all there’s a new economical world crisis coming up, so these luxury vendors better do something real for our money…
If the zest kicks in I’ll report back, but I highly doubt it…
    Edit 2
Apparently you can change your opinion about a perfume and perceive it differently! I found a bit of a twist to it, to the bitterness sweetness of it, I think there is a sexy zesty side. People have been telling me I smell nice. Still it is diluted for this price. I have to spray a ton to get that effect.
    Edit 3
2 years after I cant wear this…drydown smells like an animal on mating season. One can trace you by it.

I just received a 50 ml but i’m thinking it could be fake, becouse it’s not appealing at all.
After reading so good reviews I decided to blind buy it, but it’s a totally disappoint.
Smells like a perfume of the Avon line… strong floral whith a strong woody notes… to my nose it’s not romantic or subtle at all. very strong and persistent in an old fashion wat…
It’s te perfume or it’s me?
Edit: after almost 20 days of owning for her labsolu I began to appreciate it.
