Myrrh is a good note in my book but blending it with a heavy dose of tonka and vanilla, ruins everything as after half an hour you are stuck with pretty much nothing else than an uncompromised sugary candy sweet scent which dominates everything else. Forget about lavender, you can barely detect any as its too weak to make itself felt in that pot of heavy sweets. Not for me.

Ohhhhh yeah! This scent is amazing. I finally went nuts and sat and sniffed all the Jo Malone’s available at the stand, and this one was very very good! I can see why Mr. Sillage enjoyed this one! I believe anyone would upon smelling this one.

Really like this one, smelt the whole line in shop and tried this one on skin. Purchased full bottle the next day. It’s has great sillage and lasts for ages! Great add to my small collection. The Tonka is the main note with the Myrrh and vanilla sizzling away in the back ground. Also smells a lot better on skin than paper too.

I tried this today at Nordstroms. I told myself I don’t love it but I kept sniffing myself where I sprayed it. I think I’m going to end up falling in love wit this. Its presence is like the softest most beautiful storm … You will smell not sexy, but highly significant in a sexy way. Wow.. it’s just strange that it’s not blowing me away yet so addictive. Jo Malone what are you doing to me lol. This is also pretty versatile in my opinion.

Apologizing to all the lovers of this scent, but I could literally not wash it off fast enough or all the way off.
It is STRONG, cloying, musty, dusty, sweet in a bad way, smelled off and/or old and I could literally taste it. Very, very few scents give me a headache…and this is one of them.
I was given a sample from Nordstrom, an authorized Jo Malone retailer (very friendly, I will say)…but OMG, this is just one of those fragrances that even after wiping with alcohol pads and scrubbing with strong soap, I could still smell it.
YUCK!!! I do however kind of love English Oak and Hazelnut Jo Malone. Not a usual scent for me, but I always get compliments when wearing, although I do not wear it often, even though it seems to work very well with my skin chemistry!

i was craving for this one as i am a sweet tooth addicted.
it is creamy vanilla with a bit incense vibe.
i found it’s too much for day time in hot climate weather and also a bit of middle-east vibe.
i try layering this with Honey & Crocus.
    the result is super comforting.

Ok so look – I have tried many Jo Malone fragrances and thought they were all very weak and without sufficient longevity or projection until I bought this one. Lovely tonka scent with fantastic longevity and projection. I wore it to work yesterday and about 8 hours in, I was getting compliments from people who were just walking into the same room I was in. I love the smell – It’s sweet, but not overly sweet. Just the right amount of myrrh to offset the sweetness. Give it a try and see for yourself.

I love this scent. Myrrh is oneof my favorite resins, i burn it all the time. this is the perfect translation to it in a perfume, smells so pure and well crafted.

It’s a warming scent, with a slight bitterness because of the myrrh. I would prefer a bit more tonka but then as it is, that’s what makes it more unisex. Dries down with a little more vanilla. Lasts a long time on the skin

Milky tonka and myrhh with an herbal lavender and a hint of vetiver on the background. This is very Mathilde Bijou! A sweet blanket for a cold starry night.
    Cons: Don’t overspray.

It was offered by friends from Canada!I did not expect to receive such a great quality gift from them. I was radiant because of this. It is a great, great fragrance. It is a fragrance at the level of those of Tom Ford. Use it in winter/fall time. The vanilla and almond notes are prominent. This is a very well blended fragrance. Thank you very much, Pedro and Marie-France.

To the guy below me. You create a million different accounts reviewing the same fragrances and you create topics in the forums and never reply to any. What is wrong with you? Weirdest thing I’ve seen on this site along with serje.allen
You already reviewed this as 1.2GW or whatever your one millionth username is…
Funnily enough you’ve deleted all your reviews for that username, again as well…

Jo Malone Myrrh & Tonka has one of the absolute best sillages I have ever smelled off of someone. It’s powdery & sweet (not syrupy at all) while remaining semi-fresh. Performance on this one is well, well, well above average (the intense line really doesn’t get it’s due)and the projection is potent for 2-3 hours. Completely unisex and smells divine on either a man or a women. It just smells wonderful! The tonka is done very well here yet it’s also a bit different compared to the way this note has been used or blended in other perfumes. Please don’t let past Jo Malone’s past performance issues stop you from trying this. Myrrh & Tonka (along with a few other’s from the Intense Line) will easily change your mind once you test it on your skin.
    Scent – 9/10 leaning closer to a 10
    Performance – 9/10
    Scent Trail – 10/10
    Unisex – 8/10
    Price – 7/10
    Terrific release from this house.

Jo Malone Myrrh & Tonka is getting a bit of hype these days so I bought a 10ml decant. It’s not bad. Feels fairly light though to me. Just the right amount of myrrh. Tonka, vanilla and almond are the main notes to me. you can sense some underlying lavender especially in the beginning but I have to say no note is fighting for authority it’s very smooth the whole way through. Nicely blended for sure. I’ll test it out properly to determine performance Etc. I can see how guys would call this feminine, it’s more on the metrosexual side like Dior Homme etc and I don’t mind wearing it.

The last time I bought a fragrance for retail was Dolce and Gabbana The One in 2008 and now after 10 years its Jo Malone Myrrh and Tonka! This one smells and spells sophistication! The scent is cosy and comforting yet classy and formal. Its one of the few scents that has an intoxicating dry down and lasts 6 to 8 hours on my skin. For once with this fragrance its not about compliments..its more about having a bubble of aroma around me that keeps me in a great mood all day everytime I get a whiff of it.

Dare I say it; this smells beachy. However, it’s “beachy” in a lounging at the hotel pool in the South of France sort of way. It doesn’t smell like coconut, sunscreen, or have any fruitiness. It has a beautiful creamy warmth reminiscent of sun-warmed skin. Essentially, Myrrh & Tonka is sophisticated and smells like luxury and leisure. Even though it inspires images of summer sunshine to me, it could certainly be worn any time of the year. I think it pairs wonderfully with black outfits – a little black dress, or a black cashmere turtleneck, tweed skirt, black polka dot tights, and a trench coat! Smells a little dry/woody at first but rounds out beautifully into an addicting, creamy, mysterious cloud.

It’s not worth it for the expensive price.
The opening is really alcoholic, but not like boozy or an alcoholic beverage, but a medical rubbing alcohol, but it’s not too sharp, strong, and pungent, it’s just there along with that bland, soft sweetish (vanilla?) note. I don’t exactly know what myrrh smells like, but I have a liiittle bit of a clue based on what I’ve heard and read about what it smells like. But I doubt that my skin picks up any resinous (myrrh) note.
But when it’s drying down, that rubbing alcohol note softens slowly and then that bland, soft sweetish note is turning powdery, whuch kind of reminds me of my childhood. i don’t know exactly what it is but maybe it’s a mixture a doll’s hair and baby powder i guess. But that powderyness I get from the drydown isn’t the almondy, dough-ish, amber-vanilla like powdery at all.
All in all, it smells cheap to me. It’s too expensive for what it is. So far, there is no Jo Malone that knocked my sock off yet. There are some good ones like french lime blossom, but that also didn’t moved me but it’s really plesant, I really like it. If I have to buy at least one fragrance from them, it would be it. Then next is orange blossom but it’s not perfect. It has a sweet orangey note that covers that beautiful! realistic white floral note.

I just blind bought a bottle of this juice & MY HEART SANK at first cause i didn’t like what I was smelling. Came off way too feminine & “grandmother-ish” but being a veteran in the game I knew better than to count my cards just yet. I sat back, crossed my fingers & allowed the magic to happen… & WOW WHAT A SHOW!! GORGEOUS FRAGRANCE that brought me such a feeling of calmness… 100% serenity… Nat King Coles “unforgettable” comes to mind. Give this beauty a chance, it’ll definitely tone down and begin to lean more smokey & masculine. The lavender and Tonka mixed with the Myrrh… Mmmmmm & then that creamy almond & vanilla dancing around in there… Heavenly. I was going to trade this one out but I think I got myself a keeper cause there’s really nothing else in my collection that even resembles this fragrance. Going to take a lot to get this one out of my hands. Projection & sillage is flawless & not overbearing in any way… Leaves such a scent trail & got me tons of compliments all day. 9 hours later and I can still smell it on my skin & clothes. Definitely get your nose on this one BUT GIVE IT TIME!! IT’LL BLOSSOM INTO SOMETHING UNFORGETTABLE!!!

I usually do not gravitate towards these types of fragrances but received a deluxe sample of this with a purchase. At first I didn’t love it but as the weather cools down, I’m appreciating the subtle spice and warm woodsy scent. I’m also amazed by the quality – being a cologne intense, this one lasts for ages but never feels overwhelming – its presence is like a soft cloud – comforting and never screechy as some intense perfumes can be. This is also beautiful paired with my favourite florals from JM (particularly red roses and peony & blush suede) as it gives them a warmth and richness that is perfect for fall/winter.
I haven’t decided if I want to splurge on the full size but its on my list for sure!

The tonka is lovely in this but it’s too smoky for me. My grandma loves it, but she is cooler than me, to be honest. Maybe someday 🙂

A very quick initial analysis as I am testing this for the first time this evening with my eldest daughter (who is a devoted Jo Malone fan; we’ve sprayed Oak & Hazelnut/Lime, Basil & Mandarin/Nectarine Blossom & Honey/Earl Grey & Cucumber and… I think there was another, but the oxygen levels in my blood and brain are severely depleted now as a result of the full-on perfume assault and I can’t remember the last).
Anyway, I sprayed a little Myrrh & Tonka on the back of my hand and allowed it to dry down. On sniffing (and before checking the note list), I would have placed a sizeable bet on there being sandalwood in this. I’ve scrolled through the reviews and see this is regularly compared to Orris & Sandalwood, and – thankfully – Houdini4 has mentioned that he is picking up sandalwood too, so it seems my nose hasn’t gone completely bonkers.
I’ve scrubbed my arms hard to remove the perfumes (I was genuinely starting to feel a little dizzy from the note combinations) and these are still hanging on: Myrrh & Tonka, Oak & Hazelnut, Bond No 9 Little Italy and Lubin Galaad (forgot to mention I’d sprayed the last two for my daughter to smell!).
Myrrh & Tonka is still VERY evident (kudos!) and Oak & Hazelnut now smells VERY “masculine” (hey ho).

Too strong, too warm and too masculine for me, even though I LOVE Dark Amber & Ginger Lily and Oud & Bergamot (those two work great with my pH)

Ever wanted to smell beautifully elegant?
For someone who has never been a fan of Jo Malone fragrances because I think they are overpriced for such poor longevity, I was left speechless. I’m in…………LOVE! This is so well blended, smooth, sexy, sweet, dark, elegant, sophisticated, warm and just classy. I bit the bullet and got the 100ml bottle. Its that good!

I can’t handle some combinations of wood and vanilla and this is one of them. It’s cloying and gets up my nose, though not as bad as some (I’m looking at you, Serge Lutens Bois Vanille). It is subtle and warm, but the powdery myrrh makes it seem too dated on my skin and the strong woody perfume vibe has more sharpness than I like. I was very much looking forward to this one as I love both myrrh and tonka, but the combination here isn’t a good one for me.

  29. :

Mmm…yum. Lots of tonka, some myrrh, a bit of vanilla and some lavender for accent to lift the whole. If you dont like lavender then you probably wont be keen on this. It is very appealing but quite a simple, slightly sweet aromatic fragrance.
I am familiar with Zerjoff Zanzibar which is a powerful animalic/oud/osmanthus scent. Once tested NEVER FORGOTTEN! Its not bad but nothing like this lovely Jo Malone lol
I’m sure I have smelt similar before and it looks like I am not alone in experiencing deja vous. It’s a nice unisex crowd pleaser.
I am perplexed at how a fragrance with tonka and myrrh can fade back to a skin scent after only an hour or two.

Myrrh & Tonka is a safe, easy to wear, G rated superb introduction to myrrh based Oriental fragrances. If you fancy Oriental perfume but you are not sure which one to start off with, check this out. It’s clearly unisex so that it’s wearable for both men and women. The notes are neither hyper feminine or masculine but in a grey neutral area that smells warm smoky but soft and elegant, sweet, smooth and with a touch of the gourmand. I was pleasantly surprised with this one. I went into the Jo Malone London shop here in London, saw the black bottle and the name of the fragrance and was bracing myself for a heavier denser incense or Arabic Oriental smoky resinous scent. Instead I was treated to a very lovely vanilla based (not incense based) slightly smoky innocent clean Oriental.
The opening note is of lavender with a spicy piquant air. Smells of lavender mixed with spices in a bowl and as it settles down it turns into a bit of soap. The lavender trails off and it turns into a powdery smoky cloud of myrrh or frankincense. This incense is quite nice but it’s not the heavy and more traditional kind of incense. It seems to be a mere aroma booster for the vanilla which emerges in the dry down. The vanilla is absolutely gorgeous. It’s clean and soft, warm, a blanket, as if the incense was somehow manipulated and rather than going stronger or smokier it softens and turns into a delicate little vanilla cream.
This is a winter time fragrance and good for cold nights to wear to bed or out to dinner. It’s quite modern and inoffensive so one might even consider wearing it to work or the office. For me it has a Christmas air. It smells of vanilla spice the kind you smell in Christmas desserts cookies and bakeries with a little bit of incense. This is not a party fragrance but it has a formal Christmas vibe owing to the mixture of myrrh, a traditional Christmas time smell (Catholic mass incense or Israeli Hanukah incense) and the delicious vanilla slash tonka bean which is all vanilla and cream, spicy and brilliant. This is a very well composed and well mannered fragrance to wear during December.

UPDATE FEB 2018. Bought it. Husband and I will share. It has its place in both our fragrance wardrobes. I’m experimenting with combos. It’s longevity by itself is only several hours. I’ve been a fan of JM for a long time. Since 2007. I have about 20 bottles, including 7 body creams and 4 bath OILS. MT is not fabulous, IMO, I have retired fragrances that surpass some in the current lineup. Some of my all time favorites are Peony Blush Suede, Blue Agave, Vanilla and Anise, Osmanthus Blossom, French Lime Blossom, Nectarine Blossom and a retired Honeysuckle that I would kill to have reissued. Not thrilled with their frequent retiring and limited edition offerings. As a perfume conessuieir, I don’t appreciate falling in love with a fragrance that I can’t restock when I’ve emptied a bottle. But TM is different enough that I decided to add it to expand my options for combining.
Dec. 2017. – I’m testing it. I’m female and loving it for me. I’m one that doesn’t think it leans toward masculine. I agree that it is a cozy, snuggly scent. Not sure I’ll commit. I prefer the Mimosa and Cardamon for that purpose right now.

i have never gone to a Jo Malone, shop and the first perfume I pick up is the myrrth and Tonka.
I is very strong took ages to get rid of the scent on my wrist.
Myrrh is beautiful and most strong and the Tonka bean adds warmth, a warm winter scent that you can wear with some lovely fluffy jumper or scarf.

Well I am swearing off of blind buying. Thought I would love this but it leans FAR too masculine on me. Quality stuff, but the only part I like is the dry down…and only after about 8 hours. Wish I could smell like that from the beginning.

Unisex veering toward the masculine. Longevity is outstanding. Smokey, dry, earthy. Myrrh smells like bubble gum to me. So in a nutshell this is like a sexy man chewing bubble gum at a bonfire. Wintry, sophisticated, outdoorsy.

Reminds me of Fredric Mall Musc ravageur but stronger and much sweeter. I originally wanted to purchase musc ravegeur, but I stopped by a local department store, and tried the Tonka Myrrh scent, and it was love at first smell! Frankly I find the Jo Malone scent much nicer, and long lasting. Plus it doesn’t hurt that its not its not as expensive

This is absolutely gorgeous. I love Lavender and love Tonka Bean too so this is a match made in heaven to my nose. Purchased a mini but really obsessing over buying a full size. Anyone know if there will be a body creme released for this scent? I tend to get the best performance from Malone when layering the creme with cologne, although this one has some pretty decent longevity on me (6 hours or so).

    Hello everyone!
Today my scent is this beautiful fragrance, so here some silly thoughts about it.
Let me just start by saying: if Jo Malone fragrances don’t last that much, this fragrance is quite the opposite.
The performance is reaally good: great projection in the first 2h-3h. After that hour mark, it creates such a good sillage that everyone will notice you.
“I don’t want to annoy people around me with my fragrance” you might say.
Well, here’s the other good news: despite the fact that the notes of this scent are tipically dense, rich, sweet and, sometimes, a bit cloying, it’s not the case with this fragrance and that’s the mastery of it. You will get a fresh tonka bean, myrrh and vanilla, without messing with the richeness and density of those notes. As it starts to settle down, the freshness starts to fade away and the sweetness becomes more present, but never cloying.
It’s a perfect modern gentleman fragrance.
The versatility of this fragrance is good too: Autumn, Winter (although not in a very cold day/night) and early Spring is where the scent will shine the most.
Occasions: office, upscale events, fancy date with your significant other.
In my opinion, this scent is too classy/too good to wear it casually or at the club.
    10/10

For two years I have been interested in Velvet Rose and Oud from the Jo Malone range. How I ever nearly purchased that instead of this is a mystery to me. To me there is church in this, a soft, velvety hush exhaling secretively under the initial Lavender. The top notes of Lavender feel very quiet so the church wind opens the the doors of this fragrance quickly. However,on sniffing the blotter again today, it’s mainly Tonka /soft vanilla I’m left with. Also tried Orris and Sandalwood yesterday which to me felt like Volupte by Oscar De La Renta. Anyone else notice this? Probably the violet. Also, in the dry down of Velvet Rose and Oud I get a stale bread note? Anyone else get this?

The first Jo Malone I ever liked.
I’ve been looking for a clean frankincense & myrrh fragrance to emulate the wonderful clean smell of a Zum F&M soap, and this was suggested by member Kesslerk. While there is no frankincense, there is a lovely clean myrrh with the wispiest hint of vanilla. Tonka gives it a bit of weight though this is by no means a heavy hitter. I was surprised by a top note of lavender which weaves in and out of the composition for the duration, a good 6 hours on my skin which is quite impressive for cologne. The lavender here is aromatic, muted but knowable. I am reminded a bit of Dior Homme Intense because of the lsvender/vanilla combination, however this is much less sweet & not bombastic like Dior. A bit as well of Valentino Uomo minus the myrrh; same sort of aromatic top.
I am very pleased with this clean, cozy fragrance and have a bid for it on ebay. If I win, I will soon have it; if I don’t win I will buy at full price. It will be worth it.

Myrrh & Tonka was a release I hadn’t even known about until I was browsing the Jo Malone counter whilst at Sydney Airport. I love myrrh and pretty much always have. It’s one of those notes that makes me excited for cold weather and knee high boots.
Tonka is in my opinion the perfect note to pair with the earthy smelling myrrh. It softens the composition in a way adding a natural form of sweetness. In addition to myrrh and tonka, I can also detect vanilla and almond. The almond accord becomes more apparent in the drydown which I find quite enjoyable.
I must admit that it does tend to lean more on the masculine side but that’s not to say that I feel uncomfortable wearing Myrrh & Tonka. As a cologne intense, this fragrance does have excellent longevity and moderate sillage.
I’m still tossing up the idea of adding Myrrh & Tonka to my collection. I’ve also wanted to add Iris & White Musk to my collection which is another pleasing scent from the Cologne Intense range. I don’t know why but I seem to hesitate when it comes to buying Jo Malone fragrances. It could possibly be the price, especially seeing that you’re paying big bucks for a cologne and not an EDP.

Something about the almond and vanilla combo really reminds me of sunshine by amouage which I love. Its like a darker version of that, very creamy, and I’m really liking it. Doesn’t last that long on my skin but lingers on my clothes for days after I apply.

    I have a love-hate relationship with this…
Theres something about this cologne that doesn’t quite work with my body chemistry. This turns FOUL after a few hours of wear. I’m talking astringent swimming pool chlorine kinda foul. No Bueno. Definitely a better performer compared with other fragrances from this house though. Projection is strong for about an hour or two, then it slowly turns into a slightly sweet chlorine skin scent on me.
But having said that, as long as I keep it faaaaaar(x10) away from my skin, everything is A-ok 🙂 It smells beautiful sprayed liberally through my hair and on a comfy sweater when its cooler outside.
Not a daily scent for sure. Some days it’s a very boozy, syrupy, almost medicinal kind of sweet – borderline cloying even. Other days it’s a comforting, rich, sensual vanilla with hints of lavender – very snuggle friendly.

Magnificent perfume. I also find it to be very cosy
I’m constantly sniffing my wrists and wowing myself with it’s beauty.
This is going straight into my top 10 best frags!
I did require several sprays more than I’d usually use. Would be great if it was a touch stronger but I’m still very pleased with its performance for today’s standards!
I’m now a proud owner of a brand new bottle!
    Just gorgeous!

strong tonka and some myrrh and vanilla. the lavender comes in and out of the scent a bit and it’s more subtle lavender, not strong. the myrrh is beautiful in this, i wish it was a bit stronger, but overall this is a warm, cozy, pretty scent.

  52. :

alluring scent, somewhat cloyingly sweet like a delicious vanilla birthday cake. Settles down into a warm creamy scent, is quite strong on my skin, wouldn’t wear more than a spray or two myself. I sprayed it on and wore my winter jacket, and for the past week I can still smell it on the coat. Much stronger longevity and sillage than any of my other JM’s. As others have said there is some similarity to Orris and Sandalwood, but still two totally distinct perfumes.

  53. :

    4 out of 5

This is a highly blended myrrh cologne scent with a little bit of lavender brightening it up. My boyfriend picked this scent out for an SA to decant for me because he thought it smelled good.
I wore 4 sprays with a 5 mL decanter to work, and someone comments “who is this guy who is wearing so much cologne?! It’s strong as h***!” (I’m pretty sure that was me =_=.) But I was just like “yeah I have no idea! XD” So maybe I’ll go lighter with the rest hah.
So good news people, you will get your money’s worth.
Overall I like this fragrance, it has only notes I like afterall. However, I can’t shake this feeling of staleness. The fragrance seems a bit flat to me, like everything was bottled too long or the ingredients were old. Maybe the scent could have used a little citrus, or maybe the tester bottled at nordstrom was cooked in bright light too long. I know this is unlikely with how new the fragrance is, but that’s just how it smells to me.
Either way It’ll be a pass for me as far as full bottle ownership goes. I’ll wear the rest for him then it goes xD.

Tried this, don’t like this. Very similar to CH Men Prive. A lot of tonka of a boozy type, vanilla and not even a drop of a myrrh.

I knew I’d smelled this before but just couldn’t figure it out so as the day progress it hit me…Noir Exquis! 90% sure…the tonka, vanilla and almond note are spot on. This is actually a better wear for me! It’s a lighter version of Noir Exquis not saying thats a bad thing only that Noire Exquis tends to be just a bit heavy on me!

This is an amazingly gorgeous scent. It is sweet with earthy accords and combines well with JML blue agava & cocoa or baisil & neroli. Another great release from the house of JML; Myrrh and Tonka warms up on the skin and becomes even more sweat and resinness. On a cold day it feels like a warm comfy sweater. I bought this and wore it for weeks straight and could not put it down, so if you like sweat, interesting, warming fragrances you should give this a sniff

It’s lovely! Very sweet at first but eases off to a very beautiful warm sensual myrrh, almond and tonka lusciousness, with a gentle lavender floating above and through it. I love it! Very feminine and comforting for me. It has excellent sillage and I have had quite a few very nice compliments, especially from men, and my husband very much enjoys it on me. And it lasts for 10 hours, and only turns to a skin scent after about 9, and even then it’s easy to smell, and lingers softly for another couple. It’s heavenly! Very very lovely.

Untainted opinion by a single other review, I’ll chime in with my first sniff of it this morning (over 40 male here):
Heavy on the Tonka Toy opening with what I’m getting on the sweet end as an almost…borderline…Spice Bomb-ish *hint* going on, but without any of the rest of the Spice Bomb mess that it is.
I swore it had that tinge of sweet spice in the opening, I think a nose or two here will understand where I’m coming from.
Nice in that regard, and at least for the first hour (test strip still in my car currently, I’ll check on it later) is very low on the headache and nausea scale, my primary measure of the quality of a fragrance.
The sales lady considers this to be big-vanilla-heavy, and I can see where she gets that.
Don’t misunderstand however, it is on the light side as most JM frags are.
A scent memory it evokes that I can’t shake: Something about it is giving me a very distinct 1986 Hawaiian Tropic sunscreen coconut vibe. (NOT Coppertone, two completely different scents). The kind of lotion the tan girl with the ultra-high-cut swimsuit bottoms put on at the beach that made little boys feel all frustratingly tingly inside.
It’s nice and unisex in my opinion, this coming from a guy who can/will wear a high quality floral on occasion, independent of any cross dressing pursuits.
Soft, sweet, kinda universally pleasing, rather submissive. Similar to that dream overseas too-young-for-me boyfriend that I’ve always wanted.

Starts off with a very sweet tonka, which is intensified by the vanilla, and probably a host of other sweet aromachemicals. Such an opening is not really to my liking, but the sweetness does fade and thankfully that is when the true tonka pokes its head out. Such a delicious, syrupy yet almost chemical aroma. The myrrh is there, albeit very subtle at first. It becomes more pronounced about 30 minutes in. The heart of this fragrance is where it really shines, t
