Showcase for potent Kyara oud. Kyara is thought by many to be the pinnacle of oud. Genetically different from other ouds, there is much speculation as to how it is produced by the tree. It’s the rarest type of agarwood, known to have the highest grade of fragrance properties. Also, the most expensive aromatic substance on earth with a cost of 10’s of thousands of dollars. It has a green, otherworldly smell, and the ambrosial smoke when chips are burned is said to be sublime, a portal to heaven.
Turkish Nishane brings us an authentic Kyara experience. Having a blend of exotic medicinal/mushroomy qualities, Kyara transcends its woody origin, and is blessed with an enormous range of attributes. It’s fecund, sultry and erotic. The opening of Musiqa Oud can be a little challenging for some, but it quickly tames down to the most luscious, complex scent. The supporting notes are a setting for this rare and rich ingredient, highlighting it’s fertile aroma. A must for oud enthusiasts!

I like this, have some on from a sample. If you can imagine a kind of incense/berry smell that reminds you of Interlude Man, then take the berry/’oud’ aspect from 2022 Generation Homme/Black Afgano, and combine then, that may give you a slight idea of this.
Later on it seems like a lighter version of Dior’s Leather Oud.
Not bad, may buy a bottle!
Oh, don’t be scared by the opening though – it’s pretty ‘bathroom-y’/skanky, haha. Just wait a little after applying.
Edit: So I put this on again recently, and I’m kind of surprised that I mentioned about Leather Oud before, because that’s a big reason as to why I came back! It reminded me of Leather Oud! So, I think I’m gonna pass on a bottle (unless I find one cheap), because I already own and love Leather Oud.
Also, get this.. I applied it, and got my gf to smell. She thought it smelled like soap (a bar of soap?). A clean smell. Meanwhile I found the opening somewhat ‘zoo’ like. Yep. Interpretation can be influenced heavily by packaging/notes/reviews/presentation. Try it out, get friends of yours to smell it – without telling them anything about it.

In this piece of musiqa oud most certainly plays first, 2nd and 3rd instruments! Which is great if you love oud, and not so great if, as me you’re not too crazy about it.
It reminded me my cabinet maker past. First 6-8 hours it smells like when you sending down antique chair or cabinet, 100+ years old with its original natural shellac finish.
Quality and performance unmistakably top notch, longevity over 14 hours, and projection and sillage very strong for first 8+ hours. And I’m talking headache inducing strong! Unfortunately when guaiac finally gets through wall of oud and it becomes very pleasant, it is mostly skin scent.
Definitely pass for me, but if you in love with oud, it as well could be definite buy for you!

From everything I have tested so far, Musiqa Oud seems to me the best perfume centered on oud. Unlike the others that simplistically show the oud note with rose and labdanum, Musiqa Oud is a much more complex fragrance and is made up of quality ingredients. The price is quite high, but compared to the quality offered it does not seem so exaggerated.
Nishane is a Turkish company and this shows that we are dealing with someone who has very strong knowledge when it comes to oud.
Musiqa Oud seems to be the synthesis of everything that is good in MFK Amyris Homme and Dior Oud Ispahan and I recommend this fragrance to all oud lovers who find the blend of this ingredient with rose too feminine (the role of the rose is intelligently taken up by amyris and saffron) – Musiqa Oud manages somehow to be animalic but still with a gentleman character.
Both the projection and the longevity are at high (but not exagerated) level.
    Fragrance 10/10
    Projection High
    Longevity 14 h

Musiqa Oud is my first frag from Nishane and it’s a pleasant surprise. I am not an Oud fanatic but I can appreciate a good, well constructed Oud fragrance and Musiqa oud is that in spades. I subscribe to the theory that no matter what real oud a frag uses, Cambodi, Hindi, etc, if it makes you smell like you have been out cleaning horse manure and cannot be worn in Public, it’s not of much use to me.
So Musiqa Oud is my type of Oud frag. It has a slight barnyard skank in the begining, Guessing it’s the Oud and Nagarmotha mix. Give it half an hour to fade off a bit and once the saffron in the mid starts to blend in with the oud, oh olfactory bliss. This then turns even more woody towards the dry down when the sandalwood and guaic wood come through. I dont get any oakmoss as such, maybe it’s a fixative. To sum up, Musiqa Oud is a great woody Saffron Oud frag. Very rich, has a proper slightly skanky Oud but is blended really smooth and wearable.
I wore this to dinner with my family with some trepidation, expecting them to pick up on the barnyard facets of the Oud but was pleasantly surprised with compliments. What shines through is the saffron and woods. Projects quite strongly for the first couple of hours and then settles down to about 6 inch aura around you. Longevity likewise is not beast mode like some of the other Ouds but definitely in the 8 hour range. I could sniff it on my T shirt the next morning so all good in that department. All this with 3 sprays from a small decant so I am guessing a 50 ml FB should go a long way.
Now to the crux. If you are mostly into freshies or have not tried Oud frags, nothing here for you. You probably wont get past the initial skanky notes. If you like Oud frags, do get your hands on this. It’s one of the better, smooth, wearable ones I have sniffed in a long time. Definitely Full bottle worthy for me.

Jammy fruity oud with a petrol vapour note and a dash of barnyard. Could be a bit challenging but it mellows out shortly after the opening, if you like oud or you’re looking for a fragrance that smells like real oud this one’s worth checking out.

This is very fecal. Nasty. Artistic yes, wearable no. Fan your flames is good but this is a horrid nightmare

My first encounter with Nishane and this is good stuff. To my nose I get a very close resemblance to Dior Leather Oud and that’s not at all a bad thing. Not a clone, not a copy, just happens to be similar to my nose. The drydown is a tad bit smoother than Dior so they both serve a purpose in my mind. I like this one and will explore the other Nishane offerings.

When I read the notes in this fragrance, I got super excited. I live for fragrances like this! This one has been compared to songe d’un bois d’ete by Guerlain which is one of my favourite scents of all time. This one, however, is less inspiring. It starts off with grapefruit which quickly morphs to an animalic oud and saffron. Dry-down is woody and lacklustre. Performance okay. Not one I would chose for office or signature. Having said that, while I can’t rave about this fragrance, I have to say I do appreciate it as a niche offering that is worth sampling. Interesting but not FBW. For my limited perfume dollar, I will stick to SDBD by Guerlain or Santal Oud by Brecourt. 6/10 overall.

I have to say I am impressed with this scent as it does actually smell like real Cambodian oud. You have lots of saffron, woods with a slight sweetness. There is a oudy leather and rubber in the background.
All in all a very nice fragrance that is reminiscent of real oud.

Gorgeous juice, but the predominant Oud/Saffron combo is similar enough to the one in Songe d’un Bois d’Ete that it probably doesn’t make sense to own both unless you’ve got wads of cash to blow. By the way, all four Nishane frags I’ve tried so far (Afrika Olifant, Munegu, Spice Bazaar and this one) have been home runs.
    Bravo to this new house.

This is a nice one, it has that common factor to costamor tabacca, so as naomi goodsir Or Du Serail as the first spray top note but with more spices, overdose saffron, & oud.
As it calms down it remains the same as the above fragrances mentioned but in a soapy way then goes powdery. Not bad thou.
Edit (14th May 2016) This is truly a nasty oud fragrance with saffron…. AHA.. i just got it, it is kind of similar to “Songe d’un Bois d’Ete” by Guerlain OR “Leather Oud” by Dior. i knew i have smelled this somewhere!

This is my signature fragrance at this moment, perfect blend of oud saffron, amber and sandalwood.
    Longevity is amazing, big WOW.

Bello e interessante nelle sue sfumature a spirale.
