This is unapologetically loud and ambitious, at least at the opening, yet so elegant and refined. The ylang-ylang steals the show in the first place, discreetly supported by delicious wafts of peach and a sweet, creamy, quite resinous vanilla… I think it’s the sandalwood. This state lasts quite a bit, before the dark, enigmatic, amazingly delectable spices enter the scene and conquer the senses… What an intriguing, fascinating perfume! I absolutely love it! It lasts for ever and projects wonderfully.
10/10 A true masterpiece.

Overall the Olfactories line attempted a bolder approach to its concepts and inspirations but failed in the interpretations that gave to the scents themselves, so that surrealist inspiration and cult references got lost in the products. Although in the Mirages collection the brand still aims high in its intentions, the lack of focus / coherence seems to have been left behind. The purpose here is to reinterpret the dynamics of oriental perfumes with a global approach. The brand certainly looks here at the current cultural moment that values potent perfumes and is clearly eyeing the Arab market as well.
Soleil Au Zenith is part of the collection that represents spicyt oriental perfumes and the brand promises an overload of sensations, a convergence of multiple cultures. And that is exactly what it delivers with luxury and elegance in the aroma. Soleil Au Zenith seems to me a journey between past and present, between nuances that are trendy now versus aromas that aren’t so much in fashion. It could be a cacophony of scents, but Daniela Andrier makes an execution that ties everything in an exotic texture risky and elegant.
The overload of sensations clearly translates into a perfume that seems to require multiple uses to better understand its textures. On a more superficial level, I clearly see the influence of Spicebomb’s sweet, cinnamon-scented resinous aroma. It is the most contemporary aspect of it, which hides in its center a more classic execution of a carnation flower aroma, drier and more spicy. There is an interesting silky and lactonic peach aroma, which gives a fruity twist with a more vintage charm to the composition.
Although the brand only lists ylang among the notes, I clearly see influences of a more spicy orange blossom blending into the ylang and carnation, adorning the aroma of the hot spices and the boozy nuances. In the background, the base is also complex, at times showing the woody and dry side of sandalwood and in others putting all the emphasis on the warm and sweetened resins. Still in other moments it is possible to perceive the influence of musks and nuances more minerals intercalating with the rest of the composition. It is the type of composition that does not use power as an excuse for lack of what to say and caprice in the execution of details, unifying concept and execution very well.

I was wearing this all day for the first time. This is a subtle and elegant composition of spices. It is quite easy to wear. It has a warm fruity opening that can be perceive as too sweet for some, but after a little-wile the elegant spices make their appearance to reveal a very good composition.

Ylang-ylang and peach traversed with sophisticated essences of sandalwood built on a deep, dark base of vanilla, cinnamon and pimento. All favorites in one bottle. Very aeger to try this one.
