Description

A new Midnight Fragrance for a modern-day princess coming out in 2014… Minuit Sonne! The clock strikes midnight, the magic hour when the hands point to new horizons! Your dreams are within reach, the night lies before you, the promise of dreams come true.

The fragrance is intense and luminous. The fragrance is an addictive and daring woody oriental. The notes include liquorice flower, sensual iris, dazzling jasmine alongside rare and exquisite notes of myrrh, vanilla infusion and benzoin.

A new crystalline glass bottle in the shape of an apple, reflective and iridescent, embellished with silver is reminiscent of delicate, sparkling jewels worn round the neck like a garland of stars.

A blind buy, not so successful I’m afraid.
Reading the reviews I wanted longer lasting Lolita, more balmy- great!, a bit thicker- yes please, myrrh – gorgeous!
    …etc
And yes, it is all that, but the loveliness lies under stubborn and unfortunately never ending trail of chemicals. Yes, it is that weird, medicinal smell of cheap chemicals in perfumes that is also in the original Lolita (little less then here) but there is gone after 5 min. Here doesn’t go away, and I can’t ignore it. And can’t stop thinking how unhealthy it is wearing it and breathing in my lungs.
Just well-intentioned advice for all blind buyers . If I had read this before buying I would have saved myself 45 euros.

Oh MY! A blind buy just reading reviews, and I should have done a long time ago! That bottle is GORGEOUS and the perfume inside reflects the bottle so well. Fairies’ magic at work here! The myrrh and benzoin are discreteand soft as is the licorice. The perfume, once sprayed, turns into a creamy, soft and well-rounded vanilla-iris combo, with all other notes in the background. That is such a great find! I had to turn away so may perfumes because benzoin or myrrh were too strong. Here, it is just a delight. It is sweet just enough, not too much… just perfect a perfect balance between all notes. Honestly, for the price, it’s a GEM! Moderate projection but great longevity….Honestly, it’s a niche quality!

The bottle is so beautiful, which is such a shame that this fragrance is only a “like” instead of a “love” for me. I find myself craving the original when I wear this one. Minuit Sonne is basically LL without the cherry and praline notes.. I get woody licorice and incense which is nice but only when sprayed once. When sprayed more than once, it turns into a gasoline/petrol sort of aroma.
When I wear this, I yearn for the fairy magic in Lolita Lempicka. Back to ebay it goes!

This is my second Lolita Lempicka fragrance, with the first one having been Midnight Couture Black. Both have an intriguing combination of cold and warm, with the cool spice of anise meeting the warmth of the myrrh and bezoin, alongside powdery iris, with a smooth scraped vanilla bean pods that rounds it out. This one has less myrrh and benzoin, and more vanilla, which becomes more prominent as the flower fades. This one is also stronger, and a little sweeter. I like layering the two. Both have me smelling my wrists all day and tucking my nose under my shirt to catch whiffs. Both are magical. While the Couture Black makes me think of a dark polished fairy cabinet holding potions of love and comfort, this one makes me think of a less aged fairy cabinet, in fairy kitchen, perhaps with healing potions sitting side by side with jars holding vanilla pods.

To me, LL Minuit Sonne is a more intense (stronger and longer-lasting) version of the original, and so is an improvement on it. I love LL, but its performance is poor enough that I had no plans to replace my 30ml bottle once it’s gone, and Minuit Sonne is the perfect solution. It has all of the ethereal, fairy-like charm I love about LL but I can smell it on myself throughout the day without having to search for it. There is no cherry note listed for MS, but I smell it, even a bit moreso than I do in the original. Highly recommended and the price can’t be beat!

I came home from work to find this in my mail box!!! I’m so happy and excited to add to my collection. It’s insane how addicted I am to buying perfume. I guess it could be worse right?
I love this fragrance. It is working nicely with my chemistry. I’m surprised that it has a bit of a cherry flavor on my skin. Maybe its the Iris. I do get the licorice but not very strong the licorice is much more subtle on me than “L”. I smell the beautiful myrrh coming through as it dries with a little powder/creaminess to it I’m guessing from the benzoin. It is beautiful. I am very happy.

I just received by mail this gorgeous limited edition.
Minuit sonne is very similar to the original Lolita Lempicka but more intense and heavenly creamy. Lolita Lempicka perfumes are my latest coup de coeur. I never thought that ”designer/mainstream” perfumes can have such a good quality and personnality.

Woody dark mysterious. Love it. Similar to sensuous.

This is a simultaneously stronger, but balmier and rounder version of the original. The violet that is in the original Lolita Lempicka that gave the composition complexity, greenery, and a bit of a coquette-ish character to it is completely absent here. Instead, the creamy iris, vanilla and myrrh is amped up, making Minuit Sonne a plusher, luxurious texture. The licorice is present, but there is less of it. I do prefer the original because it has a bite to it that this lacks, but this is stronger. Great for layering purposes.

I just did a comparison on my arm of the Original , the Midnight D’or and this Midnight Sonne. The Midnight D’or is the heaviest scent, with more myrrh. My newest, the Sonne ,is very similar to that one except less myrrh ,so not as heavy to my nose. More vanilla and iris is smelled in that one and I like this more. The original is still the best to my nose with it’s touch of cherry, but the Sonne is very close. I have all 3, plus other Lolitas . I am pleased with them all (except the taller gold bottle -was it Elle? didn’t sit right and gave me a headache- was a giveaway) I always seem to love the ones in the apple bottles. Good quality stuff and sold so affordably on-line!

Yes extremely similar to the original Lolita Lempicka, and almost identical to Lolita Lempicka Midnight, in that it is a more intense version of the original but it’s identity is unmistakable. I don’t find the licorice overpowering even though it’s definitely present, it’s simply a musky and amped up version of the original LL, a good evening scent

Very similar to the original LL, but a little cozier. Less sharp, the notes feel more round, and right off the bat it seems a little stronger too. I kind of prefer this one to the original, for now. If you’re thinking about blind buying this one, just keep in mind they’re really similar. The bottle is just beautiful.

This is horrific. I don’t really smell much of anything but a faint licorice mustiness/ shaving cream stench. This was my first Lolita Lempicka and probably my last. UPDATE gave this another go today , and I accidentally doused myself with the whole sample vial. And still, all I get is that aerosol shaving cream smell. At least the longevity sucks.

A bought this for the bottle and because I love licorice in anything.
At first i thought it was the same as the orginal without that cherry note but trying them side by side is when it hits you, this is a least 4 times stronger than the original.
So thats a great big tick for me beacuse I love sillage monsters so this little beauty plays for me like a licorice bomb!
And the bottle? well I see a few people disliking the glitter and yes it does wind up on your fingers but its a small price to pay for such undeniable beauty.
glad a got the huge 100ml it looks amazing.
    scent 9/10
    bottle 10/10

I am really working on liking this!
It smells too much like shaving cream. Which can be a good thing to those who enjoy that scent.
    There is no sweetness.
I think I might like this better if my fiancé were to wear it.

  16. :

Smells exactly like a combo of the original Lolita Lempicka and Forbidden Flower.

  17. :

On my skin, it turns into a sweet berry alike smell, that reminds me of gummy bears. This smells too sweet and cheap to me, and usually I don’t have a problem with sweet, but in this case I expected something else. I can imagine a thin teenage girl wearing this, but not a sexy woman.

  18. :

This is my very first Lolita perfume. I wasn’t sure I’d like it due to the licorice note, but it’s very tolerable in this. I can definitely smell it, but it’s something I can stand to wear. This is sweet, and after reading that the original is very similar, just less sweet, maybe I’ll just stick to this, or a few of the flankers. I’ve never smelled the original, but I sure would like to.
This bottle is divine, and I love how the cute little stem is the sprayer. These bottles are just amazing, and I can see myself collecting them all. This seems to wear extremely well too. I hate weak perfumes, and this is not weak. I’ve now worn it two times, and each time I’m sort of shocked by it’s intensity. That’s a good thing, in my book.

Oh cmon Bonnie, a lovely Lempicka bottle is never a waste of money 🙂 I think it’s very cozy, dreamy and calmer than the original.

It’s a great scent but was very disappointed that it smells so much like the original. I feel as though I wasted my money. The only difference I can discern is that this one lasts longer.

To Brad Falco – maybe it’s Lolita Minuit Noir? I’ve got this and it’s just licorice and vanilla with no cherries (version from 2010, black bottle with golden leaves). Hope it helped 🙂

I just got this version and I do love it however have a very difficult time telling a difference between it and the Lolita lempicka original. I remember years ago I picked up a dark apple by Lolita lempicka in a cologne store and it was the most beautiful intense strong sweet vanilla candy smell intertwined with strong Black Licorice I didn’t get it at the time but have thought about it ever since but cannot seem to find out which one it is. Does anyone know what one I’m trying to remember? I also don’t remember the strong Cherry vibes. I have Lolita-Lempicka original and LL Minuit-Sonne can anyone tell me which one is mainly Vanilla and licorice?

  23. :

    5 out of 5

First off, the bottle is amazing. It’s one of the very few I’d keep when it was empty just for display purposes. Glitter does end up on your hands though.
As for the scent, I don’t find it that different from the original. Maybe a little sweeter and slightly smoky, so I’m glad I bought this one instead. Looking forward to wearing this in cooler weather, I think it will suit both day and night.

  24. :

I don’t really like the original LL because of the licorice note. In this it’s still detectable but the sweetness makes it tolerable. Surprisingly I am liking this one! Perhaps it’s a tad powdery too?
    Bottle is stunning!

  25. :

As with the original Lolita Lempicka, this is a beautiful sweet and powdery scent, but on my skin it was just too much. It smells very similar to the original (which I have) so I had to let this one go. All of the notes were gorgeous but the overly candy sweetness of this was nearly an instant migraine for me. If you love sweet interesting scents or love original Lolita Lempicka, I say give this a try. Oh yeah, the bottle is gorgeous as well, but a giant glitter bomb. 🙂 You have been warned.

This fragrance is like stepping into a concocted world of a sparkly violet fairy forest in the moonlight and Willy Wonka’s candy factory. It is at once bubbly, fizzy, and sweet maybe as if it were scooped up from a dark purple lagoon in the fairy forest and put in this lovely enchanted apple bottle. The lagoon would be made of a magical cherry-vanilla soda brew, as those are the notes I immediately smell in this fragrance. The hints of licorice give it darkness and mystery, adding the element of fun mischief to the scent. The whispers of baby powder remind me of the sweet fairies and butterflies that would grace this magical place. It is a very strong fragrance; I can smell it in the bottle even standing far away. And while I mainly smell fizzy spiced cherry, I asked others (who are not perfume aficionados by any means) while wearing it and they all said it smells like a beautiful and sophisticated baby powder!

I have the Midnight Illusions so this is pretty much the same. However, I love both, and will wear both.
    This bottle is gorgeous!
I don’t think I’ve ever whiffed the original 1997 LL, I found out mine are the Premier reformulations. So I enjoy these Midnight flankers because they are smoky from the myrrh. Of course the Premier is my first love, I just wish I could have one that lasted like the 1997.

  28. :

Of course this is very similar to the original but it is sweeter and a little bit thicker. It’s not quite as woody either. I love them all, and this is no exception. Should also be great year round.
ETA: I’ve been wearing this for the last three days and the more I do, the more I love it! The myrrh adds an earthy note to the blend but it keeps it grounded too (no pun intended, lol!). It’s really fun to layer with others in my collection- L’Instant EDP and Black Orchid to name a few. I really enjoy this flanker a lot, and don’t think I’ll ever get bored with it. A+++!

there are 10 of these available through Fragrancenet.com, I’m purchasing one, so actually 9. I will add my review when it’s recieved!
This is one of my favorite bottles Lolita has realeased and the notes seemed pretty intringuing, so “fingers crossed”.

I have actually never liked Lolita Lempicka perfumes, but this one I like a lot! It’s very sensual and warm.

Just wanted to say the bottle is much more beautiful in person than in picture. In pictures it looks straight up light purple, but in person it’s actually a translucent multicolored bottle, primarily purple but with facets of green, red, blue and yellow. And of course the glitter is gorgeous too.
Smells very similar to Lolita 2007 Fleur de Minuet as well as Lolita Eau De Minuet (red/black one with the red tassel). Which imo is a good thing, as those two are my favorite version of LL. Deeper/darker than the regular lolitas and just lovely. I am happy to own as many limited editions of these as possible, not only for the beautiful bottles but also as back-ups (since the original formula of Lolita has been discontinued and replaced by le premier, it’s nice to have several other alternatives).
    Anyway, love this one.

The same as Lolita Lempicka Le 1er Parfum, but deeper.
    As every year…

  33. :

    4 out of 5

The scent is almost the same as all the limited edition Midnight Lolitas of the last few years.
Minuit Sonne is basically a thicker and more balmy version of the original, focused on the myrrh, anise and iris in a pretty iridescent lilac and silver sparkly bottle.
Would be perfect as a Christmas gift, very very festive and smells good as always.

  34. :

On my skin there is no difference between this flanker and the original lolita. As I love le premier parfum I’m the happy owner of a big and adorable bottle.

Midnight strikes and surprises me again and again.
The box is beautiful, sophisticated, an object of art- dark blue with silver inscriptions like stars in the midnight sky.
The bottle – the same apple, but this time with silver decorations on light violet glass. The only thing I dislike- the ivy leaves covered with silver glitter which comes off. I opened the box at work, and my hands, my clothes and the floor was sparkling in glitter. Made me think about “Twilight” somehow…
Otherwise of course the bottle is adorable, as always.
The scent… Yes, it has a lot in common with the regular Lolita Lempicka, but this one is more balsamic, thicker (first time I smelled it, it reminded me the scent of high quality raisin (made from the light grape) aroma -sweet, concentrated, strong) and slightly masculine maybe. Now it’s autumn here, I guess this scent will be perfect in winter. This doesn’t make me think about midnight, it’s rather a beautiful, cold, clear, sparkling, starry winter evening before the Christmas. The snow is slowly falling, the air is pure and your spirit is light and fulfilled with some quiet happiness. After about 30 minutes the vanilla note becomes quite prominent, deliciously tempting -a fresh baked pastry after a walk in that cold winter evening. What could be better?
Recently I thought about all those Lolita flankers.. They all are like the regular Lolita, but still something very tiny has been changed about them, and I fall in love with Lolita again and again. The same scent (almost), many variations. It’s like the ideal marriage- you fall in love many times, but always with the same person.

  36. :

Lovely bottle as usual I love LL but all these flankers are a bit confusing and the notes are very similar to all of them

This one is already available at Debenhams UK is somebody is inerested. By the way bottle is amazing like all Lolita’s.
