WHAT a beautiful real fresh powdery almondy (heliotrope)mimosa!
Love it! And that price!

I absolutely adore this, it’s a properly pure mimosa and lasts well on my skin. So summery and sweet and fresh but a little bit green/herby as well which lends the depth. Beautiful!

Recalling the Mimosa blossoms my grandmother filled the house with in Summer. This is a true Mimosa. A friend bought it as a gift for me in France. It outshines all the concocted sweet nondescript scents with an indescribable purity and beauty. Soliflores are themselves a mixture of scent chemicals produced by a flower. Perhaps we need to rely more on flowers to produce our scents. However Fragonard do it a true Mimosa.

This is the only true mimosa fragrance I came in touch with. Byside Diptyque’s room fragrance I didn’t find anything what smells so close to the real flower.

It took a while for me to find this fragrance on eBay but I could not be happier about it.
This is a real bunch of mimosa flowers, all fluffy and dewy, along with its stems and leaves.
There is an almondy note (heliotrope?) I could have done without, as it smells a bit too sweet (maybe to make it more wearable and less herbaceous) but this is nevertheless a realistic and faithful recreation of the gorgeous scent of mimosa.

Fragrance Review For Mimosa Fragonard
Notes Mimosa
A cheerful sunny spring time mimosa and heliotrope scent. This fragrance is more than the soliflore it claims to be. There is a light citrus opening and probably a heliotrope middle note and a base of sandalwood. This is not a very complicated perfume but it has a sweetness, delicacy, charm, and spring time floral beauty. It’s a perfect scent for your home as an air freshner but in no way does it resemble a cheap chemical or synthetic air freshner from a drugstore. This is a realistic mimosa. It is extracted from actual mimosa petals from Grasse France where the Fragonard perfumery operates. It evokes the Mediterranean coast, orange blossoms and orange trees, fields of yellow flowers and warm spring breezes. It’s really quite beautiful. I first experienced mimosa as a note in perfumery when I attended a perfume workshop in Grasse with Fragonard. They are really hardcore serious perfumers who have created many gorgeous floral fragrances. Try this one if you like mimosa and spring time floral fragrances. Smells so good. I surround myself in this scent when the weather is warm and it whisks me away to Provence.

After several years , it’s back again on the french website :o)

Such a beautiful mimosa scent. Warm, sunny and at the same time green. I love the greenish tone in this. It seems to me, that Fragonard makes real quality stuff with a passion and a care for the smallest details; even the bottles and the packaging are beautiful.
(And though the scent of course is the most important, I am a bit of a sucker for beautiful bottles) 🙂

This is a must try for mimosa lovers. Being one myself I have been trying for years to find something like this – mimosa in its purest form, not buried under many layers of notes, simple but full and rounded and with all its facets, dry, flowery, pollen, yellow one as well as dark green, aromatic leafy one, sunny and warm but without the dustiness it usually goes with.
Fragonard Mimosa is a bright, joyful perfume that lasts for hours, costs almost nothing and plays with cliche in a wonderful way. As I said – a must try.

Tout simplement divin….
Tous les ors de Bormes les Mimosas dans un flacon.
Un énorme merci aux Australiens de nous avoir fait découvrir cet arbre aux senteurs poudrées, douces et gorgées de soleil d’hiver…

The one true mimosa perfume….. glad to have found it at long last!!!

It smells, like the Fragonardis would use not only the mimosa blossoms to make this juice, but the whole plant together with the leaves. Disturbing, because too much herbal and green notes, perfect for room diffuser, but definitely no skin or your clothes fragrance.
11/10/22: I use the fragrance in the morning on my clothes, I love it somehow in a special, secure kind, even if it is so green.
