Description
A distinctly sensual fragrance, Czech & Speake’s Mimosa is a fusion of fresh florals and
warm spices with a soft, dry finish. The first impression is an alluring blend of light, green
geranium and rich notes of ylang ylang which unfold to
reveal an exquisitely heady floral heart of mimosa and
jasmine essential oils.
Grown in warm climates, the mimosa tree is
recognisable by its clusters of delicate yellow flowers
which are sensitive to both light and touch. The
essential oil extracted has a distinctive floral character
with fresh woody-green overtones which give this
fragrance its unique soothing quality. The base of the
fragrance brings together spicy notes of clove and
woody benzoin absolute, for a rich, warm finish.
Available in 100ml Cologne.

I really do not like to write negative reviews but as I re-applied a sample on a clear out, I even threw it out, so bad it was.
Pastiche superficial mimosa (very non-authentic) that is amplified up by jasmine and geranium.
Very brash and unrefined and while the opening in itself is not bad (for a minute or two) the entire composition breaks over a cliff in mid-air, like a kite with a hole in the sail.
Upon crashing down, nothing but harsh, bitter, loud cheap soap explosion.
Disaster 1/10
*I love their ‘Dark Rose’ and ’88’ but please pass on this Mimosa for there are much better ones out there….

Horrible y nauseabundo, creo que el peor perfume que he olido (o la muestra está en mal estado).
Mejora algo a los 15 minutos de la salida, pero aún así no me gusta.
Franja de edad +100 años, y puede que ni eso.

For an alleged mimosa soliflore (judging by the name at least…), Czech & Speake MIMOSA packs a mighty punch of jasmine! I actually wondered upon application whether there might have been a decanting error. It seemed quite clear that my carded manufacturer’s sample should really read JASMINE–and a big fat, relatively indolic one at that!
Once the opening died down a bit, I did catch a waft or two of mimosa, but just as much ylang, so I think that people looking specifically for mimosa are bound to be disappointed by this composition. I like it as a jasmine perfume embellished by other floral notes, but the mimosa is really fighting for recognition here.
Once again, I am pleased both by the natural-smelling components of this Czech & Speake creation and also by the excellent sillage and longevity for an alleged cologne. The drydown is relatively soapy, as others have observed.

this is a floral with big letter “F”: I can smell strong ylang-ylang here + mimosa/jasmine. This is a very old-fashioned scent, smells like one of those fancy guest soaps some people like to keep in their bathrooms. If you like old-fashioned soapy florals, try it out. I pass.

My least favorite in the Czech & Speake lineup. Grandma in a bottle. No thanks, and especially not at this price.

This is a lovely, well-blended floral scent.
I get lots of aldehides, mandarine and orange in the opening. That stage reminds me of Frédéric Malle Le Parfum de Thérèse, but without the note of melon.
Jasmin and mimosa give a powdery side to the middle notes, and the spices are pretty mild.
Very good offering from Czech & Speake.
