It’s so incredibly happy and vibrant, I think this is an underrated fragrance. I would love to smell it on a woman. L’Occitane delivers the best honey note in the industry in my opinion.

Such a bright, sunny, true honey lemon scent. It’s sweet and stronger on the honey so it’s not for me daily. If you want a simple, foody honey lemon fragrance you’ll like this. Not a complex scent.

After searching for the perfect honey perfume, I blind bought this on recommendation. At first I was disappointed – this wasn’t a raw, thick, dripping honey! But the next time I tried it, it began to grow on me. Throughout the day, I’d get these whiffs of a sugared, ever so lightly honeyed lemon. I couldn’t stop sniffing myself. Every time I wear this, I like it more. I can see how this would be best suited for the warm months, but I’ve been wearing it this fall and it has worked. It is a pleasantly tart lemon, with a very light, liquidy honey, not a boozey one. The shimmers are nice too – very fine, and not overly noticeable – just a fun, demure glittering.

I received a sample vial in a swap and it does indeed have some fine shimmering particles that compliment that golden scent inside. I imagine the shimmer would look radiant sprayed on the skin.
With just a little dab, Miel & Citron Pailletee Shimmering delivers a full serving of delicious, naturally sweet, fresh honey.
As the bouquet blossoms, the honey warms into an earthy fragrance, like smooth, white/light golden creamed honey without the saccharine sweet clarity. The blossoms are delicate and the nectar is light, vanilla and lemon are gently infused.
Happy, honey engorged bees with powdery pollen dusted all over their fuzzy, fat bodies. This is joy in the most delicious way.

This is happiness in a bottle. It has such an airy, sunny outdoorsy quality to it. Reminds me of sunny days and honey hives. Bees buzzing through blossoms gathering their sweet nectar. Miel Citron Pailletee has notes of Lemon, cut grass, Freesia, honey, orange blossom, Apricot and Vanilla.
I know honey and lemon makes one think of cold remedy teas but this is gorgeous. The lemon is very fresh in the opening and cuts through the honey beautifully.Honey and apricot notes takes over right away. The honey is very clean, light and natural. More of the white honey variety than the rich golden one.White chewy honey fresh from the hive with wax still sticking to it. Freesia doesn’t make an appearance on my skin at all. Just lemon and honey and maybe a wee bit of vanilla mixed in with some natural green notes. It’s not a complicated fragrance with mish mash of too many notes trying to take up the stage. It lasts a long time for an EDT and the drydown is honey ambrosia with a slight waxy feel to it. Simply gorgeous.

I like what the one reviewer had to say and I agree. When I wear this I can’t stop smelling myself. It is so wonderful and warm and sexy. My husband loves it. Unfortunately, my daughter is allergic to honey in perfumes so I don’t wear it as often as I would like to….prolly wear it every day if I could.

I wouldn’t want to be wearing L’Occitane MIEL & CITRON PAILLETEE SHIMMERING anywhere near a swarm of wasps, but this stuff smells lovely. It’s all about honey with a touch of lemon. Although I’ve tried a number of perfumes with honey as a minor note, this is the first fragrance which features honey as the centerpiece.
This composition seems to me more aromatherapeutic than perfume-y, but it smells scrumptious, and I also love the shimmer imparted by the tiny pieces of mica suspended in the liquid, which would look beautiful on bare shoulders under the hot sun. But, again, I’d be careful not to wear this honey-rich elixir in the great outdoors. This is basically the last thing to pack for your African adventure!
Although I have not tried the original, I like this simple presentation of lemony honeycomb–in a honeycomb-textured bottle–quite a lot. Very natural and precisely as sweet as honey! MIEL & CITRON would mix very well with all sorts of oriental perfumes, especially in cases where one wishes to amp up golden honey notes that seem too subtle.

This has more citrus in it than the original one. I bought first this one by mistake, but was lucky enough to be able to exchange it back for original one! The magic of original is gone here, just an ordinary lemony-fresh scent. When in original there is Vanilla and honey dominanting, here is citrus and honey with some white flowers dominant. And staying poewr is less that with non-shimmering version.

This edt on me behaves like an edp, and usually my skin just eats out perfume; not this one. The longevity is excellent, the silage average.
It smells just like lemon rind in the beginning, absolutely no juice; soon after the honey takes over, it’s a white honey, made from flowers, light and sunny; I don’t exactly smell any flowers in it though, it’s just a yellow-white sunny “feeling”. After a while, ( a long while), everything fades into a waxy smell that goes just perfect with the honey comb bottle it came from.
I find the sparkles adorable, although too little remain on skin or hair.
A lovely daytime perfume, pleasant and relaxing.

What a beauty! I love honey…there are so many kinds that a life is not enough to try it all. But, unfortunately, the honey note is usually shushed by others, more strong and popular notes to the point that the honey becomes unrecognizable.
Not here! Though it is cleverly combined with floral and green notes, it shines through like a golden opal in a filigree pendant.Honey lovers….you found your paradise.Meadow flower honey it is.Adorable bottle, too.

This scent gets pure love from me. It’s that note you love in other perfumes, but here it is on it’s own. Thick, rich, pure honey. It’s amazing! I’m not a shimmer fan, but whatever the scent lasts all day. It’s both dry and vibrant, top ten scent for me.

when I just remember that I didn’t even wanted to try it on my own, but gave in on saleslady’s attempt to promote it!
I didn’t like the original one (too linear and overtly sweet on me, sadly, because this new edition that is my fondling is a limited edition and I cannot see myself some day replacing it with the original) and I most certainly am not a fan of citrus-anything. ok, ok, I enjoyed lazy afternoons with my best friend as a teenager dabbing lemon halfs into sugar, but never have I been a fan of smelling like it…
but a splash of Pailletee’s powdery greeness with soft neroli trail which gives in more and more to soft, velvety apricot and thick, raw smell of pure honey clearing the path for gourmand footsteps to mark their way into caramels poured over with honey and powdered with vanilla.
    oh, the pleasure!
with my normal 3 spritz on my pulse spots, Shimmering (shimmer actually falls off as soon as the fluency dries on the skin) can be a little bit cloying with it’s intensity but I appreciate that it stayes as strong as when first applied even after I shower, so it is a 24+ hours scent on my skin.
and after this shiny knight (in shimmering armour) of citrus gourmands defended it’s flag’s colours, I tent to give other members of this group a chance to be sprayed&smelled and it is quite possible that I am becoming a shy fan of the Citrus Gourmand Group.
all because of the ecstasy that is called thy name, Miel&Citron Pailletee Shimmering!

Yummy!! That’s all I could say. When I am wearing it, I cant stop smelling myself. It reminds me of my mom in the kitchen making lemon cake with honey and caramel. Soft, creamy, delicious!

Excellent! the original one is gross it smells NOTHING like honey the non shimmery version smells like a head aching vanilla! this smells like honey and caramel even though caramel is not a note in this version I smell the caramel much stronger, and the lemon is great goes away fast but really nice an refreshing in the begining. my fave perfume!

I have Miel and Citron hand cream and I love it, so when I tried the original Miel and Citron and it didn’t smell like honey on me, I was upset. But this one fit the bill!
First I smelled apricot with some herbal vermouth like accents. I was surprised that the apricot was not into the sour side on me (that’s what it usually does). It was juicy and sweet, and the herbal smell made it very interesting. I wouldn’t mind it to stay like that, but I wanted honey! And didn’t it come. After about 15 minutes honey was all there was. Thick wildflower honey, no pollen, no beeswax. Just honey. Matches the hand cream perfectly, by the way. A solid like. I wouldn’t turn down a full bottle.

I just got this in a swap from awesome darlingbuds! And wow i really like it! She also supplied me with a sample of the original version and they smell very different. I am glad that i recievd the whole bottle of this one and not the other. This version is not nearly as sweet and it has a very close ti nature honey smell. I smell VERY slight citrus in the beginning and the rest is pure honey right from the hive. This last a very long time on my skin, which is hard for me to come by. Whan i spray this on my skin I get flashbacks of lazy summer days full of sunshine and warmth… trully beautiful!

I’ve just bought it on a 50% sale… Couldn’t leave it there, I was flirting with it for such a long time. Yes, it’s more citrusy than the original, but this is what appealed me most. The original is bery much like honey-sandalwood incense stick for me, too little citrus. This one is much more refreshing. I’m concerned about the shimmer, though, I’m not really the type. Maybe if I don’t shake the bottle, I won’t get so much glitter. If I’m not satisfied, I will give it to my mother when she comes home from hospital – she’s very much into citrus notes and sparkle. But I give it a try.

I have (and like) both versions, Miel & Citron and Pailletee Shimmering. Also bought the oil and the lip protector.
They smell pratically the same, but this version is less sweeter.
I wear it when I don’t want too much sugar on my honey.
Great staying power: applied it at 8:00 am and now it’s 19:00 and I still can smell it on me.

I dont think this is the best out of Occitane fragrances.
However, had I have some money to spare, I would get this version of Honey and Lemon for sure, and I might at some point, who knows.
It smells a lot like a spoonfull of fresh, delicious honey topped with lemon juice and some vanilla. Absolutely fantastic, for those loving sweet, but not overwhelming fragrances.
I dont really get the floral and green notes, about which I cant complain really.
The only ‘no’ for me is the glitter. I must say it DOES look pretty, but excludes spraying the perfume on heair (which I do a lot), clothes, and thus makes it impossible to use at work.
