Metamorphose Lilas Cuir is closely related to Metamorphose Lilas Night, but I prefer this one. The difference between the two is that more notes are listed on MLC (strawberry gum and hyrax) and I get a bit more of the wood+rum vibe (not actual notes) from MLN.
The extremely unusual notes used make this difficult to describe. The scent is resinous and floral, with some leafy greenness. There’s a hint of log fire smoke that becomes more apparent over time.
The more it dries down, the better it gets. It gets softer and the sandalwood becomes much more noticeable. This projects well for about 2 hours and stays on the skin for a long time.
