I sprayed Dior Homme Cologne 2013 on my hand and M.Benz Cologne on other hand and compared them, wow! yes that’s true! they are similar, IMO 95% ! I love both, great for Summer.

Nice scent. Very close close to DHC. For the$30 I paid I won’t split hairs. Lasts about the same if not a tad longer.
Picked this up at the crossings outlet mall in Pennsylvania. They had quite a few left. They were on sale. Guess they’re trying to get rid of them.

As many have already stated, this smells A LOT like dior homme cologne.. It is true. Dior homme cologne is a little better, a little crisper.. but they are very similar. I do not get better performance on this one however.. I find the dior homme cologne has a stronger scent.. Now who knows with batch variations and reformulations.. All i know is that this batch of merc benz cologne isn’t as strong as the dior.. and the dior lasts better than what people claim. It isn’t a beast but the scent sticks around.

Nothing great just an average scent but a pleasant one with a barber shop vibe . Longevity is ok but for me it only projects arms length for probably an hour and then becomes a skin scent .
So guys don’t expect a E class or S class from this .

Received my bottle, first impressions;
Nice & summer fresh (perfect right now). I sense lemon much more than grapefruit, orange or mandarin and I think this is due to the verbena note. I used to have a verbena eau de cologne by Bien-Etre and I strongly detect this note here.
The ginger and pepper add a little spice but this is far from a spicy scent, it’s really a citrus concoction designed to be a simple, refreshing summer scent. I don’t own Dior Cologne (but have smelled it as recently as yesterday), it’s true they are very similar but I find the Dior to be of higher quality (I’ll have to snag a sample!), the opening is also more zesty with a grapefruit rather than lemony vibe.
So far I’m not bowled over by the MBC performance, seems rather moderate but like any juice it deserves a few wearings before passing judgement. The bottle looks very nice, cap is heavy and the sprayer is excellent.

Pretty much agree with many of the reviews below, DHC for a 3rd of the price. A fraction less sharp in the opening 5 mins or so, but the trade off is better longevity.
If you’re in the UK, 120 ml is available from The Perfume Shop for £24.99 with free delivery. Get it while you can as prices do seem to be going up elsewhere on this one!
Not a ‘love’ for me as I find the smell a touch sickly, as I did DHC, so will keep to the end of summer and then probably sell on!

I got a 120 ml bottle of this. First, when I smelled it I couldn’t detect anything but after a few hours of wearing it I started to notice the smell on myself and I kept on noticing it even for 5-6 hours (it should be more for people around you!!). I think it’s that the fragrance needs some time after spraying for the musk to appear. Smelling directly from the sprayer is not objective, neither is smelling it right after sprayed on skin. This needs 40-50 min to start revealing itself and it is an amazing spring/summer fragrance!
Longevity – 8-10 hours.
Projection – Very good for the first 4 hours, becomes closer to the skin for the next 1-2 hours, but is still noticeable.

This is almost identical to DH Cologne. It differs in the opening where this has more refined juicy citrus, and DH Cologne has sharper and stronger opening which goes away like a plane at high altitude and then just starts vertically downward very fast. MB does last longer and if you didn’t get good longevity with it, you would get even worse with Dior. Which isn’t more refined, because in terms of quality, they are totally identical.

I agree that it is so similar to Dior Homme Cologne but M-B Cologne is longer lasting, we compared them hand by hand. We purchased 125ml bottle online and it has a decent longevity and sillage. It is a pity that some bottles have different performances as Tyriel mentioned.

The smell, in my opinion, is indistinguishable from Dior Homme Cologne, however i would say that it is lighter overall.
If you want a DHC clone that is cheaper and don’t mind that it’s a bit less intense, this is for you !

You guys are very welcome. No one was talking about this half a year ago. No reviews, no talk, no anything. I got few bottles and I tried talking as much as I could on groups in fragcom. Because people needed to know about this gem. The quality of this frag, the similarity to both DHC and Allure Sport Cologne is unbelievable. This scent profile, with this quality for that price… makkes you never want to spend on diors or chanels frags that this is copying extremely well, both in smell and quality.

When you get a scent like Mercedes-Benz Cologne at this price, it’s not possible to write a negative review. I wouldn’t say it’s a clone of Dior Homme Cologne – I know DHC by heart after using 4 bottles (yes it’s my top summer fragrance), Mercedes-Benz easily attracted me with the reviews and DHC mentions. I mean, both are lemon/bergamot scent so similarity is natural but yes, there’s this extra bit both share a bit more than others.
MBC is definetely not as crispy as DHC, but more refined and smooth. Performance is also not better, I actually think it’s worse than DHC. I’m curious if MBC will come back to life when exposed to heat and sweat like DHC does. But yes, at this price it’s no question – I think I will go forward with MBC from now on because DHC can’t justify the ridicilious price for that freshie!

Based on reviews of this I’ve been wanting it forever so I finally blind bought it and unsurprisingly I was amazed by how beautiful and fresh this fragrance was.
It smells amazing it’s very strong in the grapefruit note, has a strong dash of orange and a very slight hint of ginger. I’ve never smelled dior homme cologne but I’ve heard from the other reviews that this is a near exact copy of it only with better performance.
The performance is about average. You’ll get about 5/6 hours from this with light-moderate projection.
The fragrance is fantastic, I’d give it a 9/10.

Very similar to DHC but MBC is little sweeter and more juicy. DHC is more on the dry side compared to MBC. I paid 33 euros for the biggest bottle, 120 ml. You can´t go wrong with this one, excellent frag!

I hate it when people say a fragrance is exactly the same with another one and you blind buy it and it’s nothing like that.
It’s not the case here. Just got MB Cologne and it is a very very good clone of DHC. It is indeed 95% DHC, I think I could be fouled it’s DHC if you’d gave me a decant of MB Cologne and told me it’s DHC.
Performance wise, it’s slightly better than the DHC, but don’t expect a bomb, it’s still a freshie.
GREAT VALUE FOR MONEY. 1ST GREAT DHC CLONE.

Beautifully blended citrus and ginger with the slightest hint of sweetness in the dry down that makes this so well balanced. I don’t get any synthetic vibes. Longevity and Sillage are both above average. An extremely pleasant fragrance.
It really is a hidden gem, in my experience a lot of places that stock MB don’t carry MB Cologne for what ever reason (in Australia anyways). It’s crazy considering this arguably their best offering.
The bottle is beautiful and is of good quality with a plastic/metal magnetic lid just Incase that’s a deciding factor 🙂

After wearing this for a few weeks, this is my take on MB Cologne. Refreshing, bright, uplifting, mouthwatering summer citrus you’d love to drink. It is really really close to Dior Homme Cologne. It has an almost identical smell. MB Cologne differs in the opening where it is not as sharp as Dior. Dior has this very natural, sharp grapefruit pulp opening like when you peal off grapefruit and smell the pulp where MB Cologne has more of a juicy smoother grapefruit mixed with a bright lemon. But the difference is so negligible that I would say this is 98% Dior Homme Cologne. To me, Mercedes smells a bit better than Dior. Feels smoother, better blended, not as sharp in the opening but it is the same smell, just better done. Imagine if you polished Dior Homme Cologne opening more towards niche.
After 15 mins they are identical and as they are drying down they smell the same. Citrus fresh musky with a bit of sweet nuances. MB Cologne lasts 2-3 hours longer which is something to take into account. Not to mention it’s 1/3 of the price of DH Cologne. MB Cologne starts smoother but projects and lasts longer where Dior starts sharper but dies down way more faster.
Bottom line, this is how a clone should be done. You couldn’t get more to the DH Cologne than this. Even Jimmy Choo Man Ice which is similar to DH Cologne… Mercedes Benz beats it and here simply is no reason for getting either Dior or Jimmy Choo when this is around. For this price, for the natural smell so close to DHC, better opening and so much better longevity… You simply can’t beat it.
I want to put this on your radar because you will save money and get the same smell you love. Same quality. I wanted to cash out for DH Cologne but after wearing them side by side there simply is no reason to get Dior. None whatsoever. It is that good and that close. A little known gem that needs a lot more hype!

In the opening it is a bit synthetic but after a few minutes when it settles it is perfectly fine. If you like Dior Homme Cologne but you don’t like its price, then consider buying it. Different base to Dior in vetiver so it lasts longer But mellows off the citrus over time
I personally like fresh scents and for citrussy frags this is a close second to Dior in overall smell but lasts longer so recommend to anyone looking for a sharp fresh citrus frag

Great perfume! Fresh, citrusy, woody and manly! Leans towards summer but I think could be used anytime of the year – casual or smart dress. Longevity and projection are good too. Some perfumes are worth stockpiling, and this is one of them. Recommended!
