It has a strong opening with arabic DNA imo. There is a tiny similarity with Bond No 9 New Haarlem & The Spirit of Dubai Majalis and it doesn’t become cloying like the last one.
This is a sweet scent but not overly sweet and it doesn’t feel gourmand. Its smell is not edible but delicious. It could be an aromatic and exotic luxurious tobacco blend for a pipe.
The opening is very strong and oriental with distinctive olibanum, dominant tobacco, very strong maple sap and noticeable cherry note which feels like Guerlain L’Homme Ideal Eau de Parfum. The dry down feels unisex. The opening feels masculine, arabic. There is also frangipani & blackberries at the background.
The performance is also very good. Heavy sillage and projection for the first 3 hours and long lasting. Ii’m still evaluating it.
Update
After trying it multiple times I feel that this beautiful beast fits perfect on a woman. Still I believe it’s unisex but it leans clearly to feminine scents. I love its smell..

I’d avoid this house. I blindly bought a fragrance after watching a YouTube review, likely done for marketing. I mistakenly bought the wrong one and found out their customer service is terrible. Beware. The following is my email exchange:
Dear Gate Fragrances,
I am being charged $15 for shipping on my refund which I don’t think is fair.
When I first made the order, it was made by mistake, mistaking one fragrance for the another. You have no phone contact so I immediatley sent an email WITHIN MINUTES to cancel. I followed up with two more later on to ensure it was received.
Finally, after about a day, I was emailed that it was too late and the order was being shipped but I could return it when received. Fair enough, and although not happy to pay foir my mistake with a shipping charge sending it back, I understood your policy. You were nice to add a free sample in case I changed my mind. It didn’t, so I paid the $13.95 postage to have it sent back to you for a refund.
So now, based on latest email, I am totally surprised and upset that I have to pay your shipping charge to me, which is shipped free when ordered so how you came up with $15 is a mystery, as well as a shipping charge to mail it back? I don’t think that’s fair and not right.
I request my full refund of $180, which is due to me. I don’t understand why it was shipped in the first place. If this stands, I will let others know via social media, Fragrantica and comments on reviews of your like of perfumes on You Tube (which is where I discovered your perfumes) regarding your customer service.
Please helps, I hope you understand, from my persepctive, the customer, how I feel. I would like to purchase Memories in the future but if this stands I will look elsewhere.

This scent smell like spicy sweet tabacco. I wear it, enjoy it & make no apologies for it!! lol However, on a gentleman(my hubby) this fragrance smells delicious! so sensual:) I get great performance on this frags.

This smells so delicious, you can smell cherry and berry and honey and tobacco, maybe a little smoky, the gate fragrance the whole collection smells very delicious and tasty. Memories really make me feel like enjoying a very good cherry cake, it is very good for all ages. I just love this so so so so so much.
