This is a “perfumey” scent, in the best sense of the word-
For some time now, I’ve been favoring simpler, more natural smelling compositions, but this is actually a nice change-
Melodie is appealing in a nostalgic ’70s vintage sort of way- It reminds me of my Cachet and Estee Lauder days…

I had it for only a little time, but the essensce – I must admit it is my signature, got it first as a test bottle from my friend who would have contact with Fragonard. My first Fragonard was some orange/mandarine mixture which I bought in the Fragonard’s factory in France – I was 16 then – that was the great scent for me then, now I dislike that, do not remember that name even.
I miss the Melodies – i wish i could get that again:)

This is quite a gentle and greenish day-time scent. Makes one feel fresh and clean but it does not create an impression of being “perfumed-up” — more like just having bathed in some very fragrant and fresh water.
Lasting time is not bad at all, considering this is such a “light” scent. Perfect for when you want to be unobtrusive yet fresh-smelling.
Fragonard has a way with it perfumes — always interesting but never particularly remarkable or bold.

Fragonard’s perfumes are a joy to sample…they always bring a smile.
This is a nicely blended aldehydic floral composition. Melodie opens with a fresh sweet lemon/white pepper, which is quite fleeting, and soon gives way to a classic jasmine/rose heart with Fragonard’s standard waxy floral note. Interestingly, the currant shows up here, just prior to entering the drydown- not in the opening as one would expect. The base is a soft powdered cedar. Sillage is minimal and longevity decent. A true EDT in concentration- light enough to be noticed at close range only.
Melodie is sweet, dry, and delicate. I have seen many comparisons to EL’s Beautiful, so I sampled them side by side and find this composition much fresher, lighter, and universally wearable. The rose here is delicate, and the base not animalic as in Beautiful. I hardly find the comparison worth noting. More appropriately, Melodie is the fun younger sister of classic floral aldehydes like Guerlain’s Attrape Coeur. A perfect introductory mature scent for a girl going off to college.
b.n. Although the ingredients state “Iris”, I feel certain that they mean “Orris”, as there is a depth here, albeit delicate, that could not be achieved without a nice anchor such as orris for the other heart notes.

It’s a light, gentle oriental floral perfum for daytime.
Greenish, slightly peppered cassis opens with a light touch of lemon note.Calming but pleasantly freshener feeling.Jasmine and labdanum makes the scent sweet, the iris gives the powdery touch, the amber a mild bitterness in the end.
Very tender, moderate fragrance, perfect daytime scent.
