ekriks – :
This was a blind buy because I loved the price and really liked the bottle–the notes seemed ok and I figured “What the heck!” and ordered it.
The first spray this morning was a bit disappointing, I won’t lie. This was just a boring fruity floral (I thought) and was already plotting how I’d unload it. I got a lot of the passionfruit/litchi/mango in the opening and frankly it was not true love.
But then something happened. About 15 minutes in I noticed I couldn’t stop sniffing my wrist. The scent was evolving in such a pleasant way…The cedar was making itself known….a nice warm cedar + patchouli + vanilla combo was overtaking the fruitiness and giving this perfume a little bit of oomph and personality. The sweet fruit was still there, but now it had life to it. I get a teeny bit of the LOTV but only in a green way and now in the drydown (9 hours later) I have a nice musky ambery scent left on my skin. This IS a keeper, and enjoying the evolution was definitely one of the highlights of my Monday.
