So far L’Amour is my favorite when it comes to a neroli fragrance, the kind of neroli scent that I prefer. This is a “white” perfume as it smells light, innocent, feminine, clean, and slightly crisp. Beside neroli, I can smell jasmine, woods and soft gardenia. L’Amour is pretty, inoffensive and gentle, like a whisper. Sillage and longevity are moderate on me.
L’Amour suits both genders, IMO. I tested the new Jo Malone White Moss & Snowdrop and it reminded me of L’Amour but White Moss is stronger, more masculine with a bitter tone and also much more expensive. Comparing to that new scent of Jo Malone, I’m happy with L’Amour for its scent and its price 🙂 And the bottle is a very darling cube, chic, classy and sophisticated, presenting the scent inside perfectly.

I really tried to like this one but I simply couldn’t. Too soapy for my taste, soft sillage etc…You couldn’t hate it, of course, but no character at all. Wearing it one gets the same feeling as after shower, but there is something more to it, some vagueness, I would say, or a lack of definition. I almost felt a kind of nausea as if this fragrance could have caused some hormonal imbalance. It’s all psychological in my case, of course, don’t get me wrong!
Obviously I like them strong and more definite! This one is not my cup of tea although I like white floral scents. It almost reminds me of a girl who desperately wants sex but couldn’t reach a climax, creates an aura of submissiveness and lack, but at the same time make you crave for something. Personally, I didn’t like the feeling. This is for ladies who have tons of patience, girlish to a certain degree, and are very very mild. Not for fiery strong ladies who want it all and want it now.

Soft and feminine. Perfect floral if that is your thing. I happen to love this one as it works nicely with my chemistry and white florals are my “thing”. I notice the neroli and the jasmine. My complaint is that it sits too close to the skin.. so nobody notices how lovely I smell unless they are up close. My daughter comments on it when she hugs me. I have a tendency to use more than I normally would, so to increase sillage..though, on the skin, it has good longevity. This scent is a really nice, classic, feminine floral.

I first encountered this fragrance in a scent strip in a catalog and it reminded me so much of my mother that I cried. Of course I purchased it in this lovely square bottle with the tassel. It’s sweet, lovely and gentle like my mother so I may be a bit biased.

This has to be the “safest” fragrance I have ever smelled. It’s so light and unobtrusive. It’s the very definition of a “skinscent”. It’s difficult to describe because it smells like nothing really, lol! Your skin but clean and warm. I keep feeling like I don’t even have a perfume on but then I smell a pleasant light floral occasionally. The top and middle are better than the drydown. Top and middle are a little creamy but base is floral only. I mean, I don’t now how you could hate it. It’s as simple as the color white. There’s nothing to hate, it just is.

A fresh and safe every-day-scent. Perfect for office. Freshcut flowers with some musk and a hint of ceder
En fräsch och trygg varje-dag-doft. Perfekt för kontoret. Fräscha blommor med varm musk och en dutt cederträ.

Nothing very special i like how it smells but not very long lasting. Sweet and good everyday scent. I gave it to my mom and she loves it and even received a compliment for it

    L’amour de Lalique… where do I start?
I received it as a prize in a beauty contest held by Forture, one of the biggest perfumeries in Egypt.
Amour is really an “amour de parfum” which translates from French as a lovely fragrance. It’s elegant, potent and sexy… There’s nothing casual or simple about it… It’s perfect for special occasions.
It’s all about Jasmine, just wished the Neroli note was less “stubborn”! I also get the tuberose just for seconds when first sprayed.
A must have for jasmine seekers and even more for neroli lovers!

an inoffensive floral fragrance. it’s a safe feminine scent.

Not a love for me,but I really like it
It’s a simple, clean, soft and innocent white floral scent, not too much sweet and not deep, heavy, creamy and headache inducing like some of tuberose dominated fragrances out there
I can not detect much citruses or any rose here, all I can smell is a soft combination of jasmine, tuberose, neroli and other florals and a hint of musk, which is a good choice for anyone who likes inoffensive floral scents, specially for daily wearing during springs
Moderate longevity and soft to moderate sillage

This is the safest floral fragrance out there. Since 5 months ago, my taste has changed and I’ve shifted from florals into gourmands and vanilla-based scents. but L’Amour is the only floral one whom I still adore.
It opens with a woody-floral touch in which jasmine and tuberose are prominent. then it develops into something creamy and sweet (rose and neroli) combined with delicate musk.
Not overpowering, not offensive and not bold at all.
    Longevity: 5/10
    Sillage: 4.5/10
A must try for those floralists who are looking for a romantic couplish perfume! 😉

First time I’ve smelt anything from Lalique and a good introduction! I got a sample of this in my Glossybox.
On my skin the first thing i smell is the lime, then it starts to smell more floral. It’s not like your typical floral scents, there’s something a bit different about it.
I haven’t found the sillage fantastic but i can still smell it on myself after a few hours. Definitely one to keep an eye out for if it goes on offer.

My usual gripe with tuberose and/or white floral dominant fragrances is 1) headaches and 2) a citrus and white floral soap. I got none of that here (although I did wear this outside and that could have helped with the headaches).
This perfume is an elegant blend: classy, sweet and sophisticated, and not too brash or showy. It opens as a gorgeous tuberose, with a white floral background and a powdered sort of rosiness that becomes cleaner as it dries down. The citrus accords keep it fresh.
Judging by the other reviews this one is very chemistry dependent, so I wouldn’t recommend it as a blind buy. L’Amour is my favourite out of all of the Lalique perfumes that I’ve tested so far. Looking forward to seeing how it performs in warmer weather. Soft to moderate sillage; lasted for about 4-5 hours. Lovely.

I’ve always loved Lanvine eclat d’arpege and still but like most say, it just doesn’t last unless you spray your clothes too. L’amoure lasts moderately and is simular to lanvin but yet has a touch of sweetness and is very fresh and innocent like eclat but then add more classy to it, which is the bit of warmth it carries as well. But not much warmth because too much makes me feel ill. I ALWAYS try trial sizes first of any fragrances and I’m glad I did with this one. Now I have the largest bottle of it !!! I’m not sure I could ever have a signature scent but if I did this could be one of them.

I don’t usually like scents with neroli, but this one is quite good. Neroli note is not overwhelming or bitter and the composition with citrus and rose is rather soft and elegant. It has some spicy undertone to it, I like that a lote.
I think this is really nice white floral, given the fact it has neroli.

Gentle Readers, this was a scrubber for me. I couldn’t even stay with it long enough to check out the drydown. It was too horrible.
It smells to me like so many other perfumes that have come on the market in the past 10 years-the “Look, Ma! I made a fragrance!” school of perfumerie, sick chemical stench of white flower (it’s the gardenia, I think), caustic, sticky in your sinuses. Seriously, just revolting.

I was thinking what this perfume reminded me of… some flowers… and I’ve finally figured it out. It reminds me of bird cherry flowers that, of course, aren’t listed. I’m not even sure if they’re used in perfumery at all. But the smell is very similar.

    ALL TIME FAVORITE!
My boyfriend got me this fragrance, 100 ml bottle, 2 months ago and I´ve literally used half of it! I can´t get enough! I think I´ve finally found my signature fragrance.
And I really haven´t found something similar to it.
It is unique, the most beautiful white floral scent.
    10/10 🙂

My favorite floral scent these days. The beautiful side of soapiness. Normally, anything floral and soapy makes me sneeze and doesn’t let me breathe. I can’t tell I really enjoy smelling them on me. (except hugo boss femme– only its opening is soapy)
Anyway, I definitely get rose, tuberose and gardenia. I can literally pick each note and separate them from each other.
Neroli and bergamot-only citrus notes I like, balance out the flower notes very well that it still doesn’t bother me even though I can easily feel those soapy flower notes. (Rose is the number one)
However, I really like this cutie 🙂 I would recommend anyone this fragrance. Quite likable. Pretty. Feminine.

This kind of reminds me of Lanvin éclat de Arpege. That used to be my signature but I had to use so much of it because it only lasts on me for three hours Tops!!! And that’s only if I spray it on just about every part of my body. I still Love it though but only because it has gotten affordable, FORTUNATELY!! now as far as L’Amour; I’m definitely liking how it lasts but still not a long master where I can smell it on me the next morning. I Love the luxurious elegance, which I’d say is the bit of warmth from the sandalwood & musk. I Love how it’s fresh, light and not at all too musky to give me a migraine or nausea like very warm scents seem to do. It barely has a sweetness . And with just a touch makes it all the more elegant & yet still a bit young and fun. I can’t tolerate perfumes that are mostly sweet and so this L’Amour is worth trying Ladies!!! It has a good balance , by being NOT TOO MUCH of ONE SMELL. I just started using it and I’m loving it more and more now!!! Its very soft & innocently fresh but still has confidence & class.

I got a sample. As I was taking in the fragrance, it seemed utterly familiar — as in something I should intimately know. Then it hit me: L’Amour smells exactly like 5th Avenue (Elizabeth Arden). I should know, I wore 5th Avenue as my signature perfume in the late ’90’s, early 2000’s.
There is one difference: 5th Avenue was more intense, with a greater sillage. More of a ’90’s perfume. In comparison, l’Amour is more ethereal, in tune with current work office sensibilities.
I developed chemical sensitivities over 10 years ago, and 5th Avenue was a perfume I reacted to. I didn’t get any reaction with L’Amour.
l’Amour is a very lovely, rather safe, white floral. Would I wear it? No. Smelling it made me realize that it just didn’t interest me anymore. Maybe because it reminds of a period of my life that is now gone, or maybe because my tastes have just evolved. But it is very nice.

I really hoped that I would like it enough to buy it. Reason is simple – I love Lalique bottles.
Unfortunately, middle notes were quite problematic to me. It could be tuberose, cause I usually dislike scents with strong tuberose, like Gracious Tuberose by Gucci or Tresor by Lancome.
On my skin it smells like some house detergent. Worse than soap. ( I mean middle notes. Top and base are OK )
It is really a misery that Lalique produces such lovely bottles with perfume I could not wear!

    L’AMOUR by Lalique
Extremely elegant white floral on my skin. Clean clear neroli with tuberose and non-indolic jasmine. Very floral, but not soapy. Beautiful melange of rose/bergamot/gardenia support on a base of creamy sandalwood/cedar and smooth delicate musk weaving through all. A sensually exquisite skin scent that I absolutely love sniffing away at through the day.
No detergent harshness or poorly blended sourness in the citrus. The citrics here bolster the freshness of the white florals and counter any tendency to cloying over-sweetness. The sandalwood is balmy and well balanced here without tipping into full on woody darkness, allowing this blend to remain securely floral, yet with a delicate woody complexity within. Fine, clean cedar accord adds a gently sober profundity, yet without any clumsy overdone heaviness. The musk here is a moderate weight anchoring dry-down that is just luscious enough to keep this composition from becoming a choice for me in really hot summer weather.
With my chemistry, this is a perfect Autumn scent for chilly mornings and evenings. I can easily see why this was released in January during the cold weather. For me this is warm, sensual, elegant, understated, discreet, exquisitely blended, and smooth as a finely woven and delicate creamy cashmere sweater. It’s gorgeous! I love it. It’s one of my favorites already!
Thank you again to the House of Lalique for bringing us another gracefully refined beauty!

I really like the beginning of this but it peters out quickly to the same old sour floral/sweet musky thing as many, many others before it….Dot, Envy Me,Lacoste Pink, Bright Crystal, Boss Nuit Femme, Hugo Boss Femme, Lola, Pink Caviar, Guess Gold and on and on and on…
Think of any other pink jus (sans vanilla) issued in the last 5-10 years and here it is again.
I don’t dislike it, but it’s been done to death…can we move on to something interesting now?

I got a sample of this and for a few minutes it’s wonderful on me, but the dry down is so disappointing.
When you first spray this it’s this wonderful soft creamy slightly sweet floral – very feminine, very classy, present without being overly dramatic – I love it! Unfortunately – I guess my body chemistry dislikes white florals because after about an hour the dry down is so bland – just clean and a bit soapy smelling. I was so sad.
I would say the longevity on this one is good – still could smell it about eight hours later, still bland but present. I would also say it’s one that lies closer to your skin – not terrible sillage but I don’t think you’ll knock out anyone on an elevator.
I really wished this one worked for me – but alas I’m still looking for my perfect white floral.

L’ Amour is a lovely floral, it is overall a soft scent, a bit sweet, not a heady white floral, nice for spring and summer , the notes are subtle, well blended in, I detect some tuberose, just a hint, some jasmine, it is a different Lalique, quite subdued, no big peppery note there.
It is pretty no doubt, but for the price, I am a bit disappointed, I expected a richer scent, more complexity, if I compare it to Reve by Van Cleef, which I own, Reve is more interesting, L’ Amour is quiet, a tad formal, similar to the RL Romance.
I will add that the longevity is weak, so my sense is that if you are looking for a classy pretty floral, there are cheaper and better options out there.

  31. :

    4 out of 5

This perfume is pretty different from Lalique’s other perfume. The longevity is exceptionally long lasting and this, due to the musk as base note.
On me, the main accords were the bergamot and the tuberose. This perfume is perfect for daylight, spring/summer and for any age.
At first sniff, it reminded me Light Blue of Dolce and Gabanna but a few hours later, became something different and unique.

  32. :

it’s a very nice perfume if you like tuberose.fortunately my body chemistry goes well with white flowers and tuberose.so I like it.to me it smells like a combination of tuberose and pear, mixed with a hint of fresh woody notes.I don’t smell any citrus here.
it’d be very suitable for day use in spring and the sillage is definitely better than average perfumes.
this is the first lalique perfume for women that I find suitable for myself.also like other lalique perfumes, the bottle is a masterprice.

Very nice fragrance.i don’t like any other lalique scnts so it was a suprise for me that i liked it that much. It’s a safe, classic scent, not something new. But i like it. It is feminine, warm. The beginning is fresher but it settles warm and elegant. Nice combination of bergamot, rose, jasmine and musk. Simply nice. And it did not give me headache which is also nice!
