This opens up with an accord similar to Joop! Jump, and eventually dries down to a base that’s a carbon copy of Joop! Homme Wild. I consider this scent to be a Wild clone, despite having a slightly floral Cool Wateresque beginning. I don’t get any of the notes listed for aubusson intense except the apple. The rest is just a sickly sweet melange of synthetic chemicals posing as a perfume. I rarely wear Wild, although I like how it smells. I don’t like how this scent smells, so I’ll never wear it. No biggie – the 3.3 oz bottle cost me less than a bottle of supermarket Brut.

I had read that this scent was like a JPG-style fragrance like Fujiyama Gentleman or Cuba so I bought this cheap. The initial smell reminds me of Pierre Cardin’s Innovation but the apple softens it a bit and flows nicely into the vanilla drydown. Decent longevity with maybe 5-7 hours out of 3-4 squirted and with projection at arms length at best.
The bottle is rather cheap feeling. I have felt imitation bottles with higher quality. The bottle is topped with a really cheesy looking textured plastic and a generic cap.

This is yet another JPG Le Male wanna-be, fresh vanilla concoction, (along the lines of Cuba Gold, Fujiyama Gentleman, and Cadillac Black,) and not a particularly good one, I am afraid. In fact, I would argue all three above are better than this. (For comparison, as of September 2014, you can buy Cuba Gold and man.aubusson Intense for $7.99+tax each at Ross, while Fujiyama Gentleman and Cadillac Black are available for $9.99+tax each at T.J. Maxx and Marshall’s. All are 100 ml. bottles. I also saw a three-piece gift set of man.aubusson Intense for $7.99+tax at T.J. Maxx, but I do not know if that packaging is widely available.)
man.aubusson Intense starts off somewhat fresh, but not as vivid as the other three I mentioned, and pretty soon dries down to an ordinary, boring, cheap vanilla base. The bottle looks quite interesting in pictures, but in real life it is one of the cheapest-looking, (and indeed, possibly the most cheaply-made,) bottles I have come across.
