This one was amazing! Its discontinuation made me so sad, because I was already out and couldn’t buy a new bottle to savor.

So glad I was able to score a bottle in one of the FB groups. I remember smelling this on a neighbor and was really shocked at how good it smelled. Funny thing is he was wearing the lotion and not the fragrance.

after few wearings. Now Reliased I regretted ignoring and only buying 1 bottle from 2017 sale.
This stays a full day on clothes. Believe me. My only bottle I rarely use this because its that good !. I love how airy woody and refreshing it is. One of the Best All time colognes out there.

This is an amazing hidden gem in the world of fragrance. The fact it is now discontinued now means it probably always will remain that way and many will never get to experience the cosey scent of Mahogany Woods. I absolutely love this perfume and just happened to see it instore when I was in Newyork last year. After spraying it I ended up grabbing a bottle, two of the shower gels and one of the body mosturisers becasue the opening was so comforting and pleasent. A really nice blend of amber, Woods and boozy vanilla. I can picture being by a roaring fire at Christmas time with this fragrance on. If you enjoy sweet Ambery scents and can find this online for a decent price I suggest you grab it while you can!

It could just be me but does someone else think this smells similar to D&G The One? I think it does

My spouse finally finds a BBW cologne that he likes and they discontinue it. He had the body wash in a closet forever and just discovered it again. Too bad. This was good for the price.

Surprisingly good for a BBW cologne. I remember smelling this and being a little shocked that I liked it as a I tend not to gravitate towards anything remotely gourmand. This has a pretty noticeable vanilla/bourbon aroma to me which I enjoy.
On me, it opens up slightly boozy (bourbon) and warm/vanilla. It then quickly calms to a comforting vanilla and woodsy scent with some more woods in the background. I can get can a few hours (I’ll be generous and say 3 at the most) of wear out of this and the silage is moderate (I’ve only gotten one compliment from someone sitting across the table from me while wearing this). A solid, dependable and safe fragrance but nothing worth going crazy over.

This is one of the most incredible scents to release in the perfume world in my opinion. Recently got a sample from my friend’s bottle. Immediately got compliments when wearing it. Last long on skin, but if you get some on your cloths… its there to stay for the next two week. Too bad its discontinued, forcing me to spend more money… if Creed or Killian or TF released this, it would be 150+ and people would still buy it. But because its Bath Body, people don’t know! Cannot see how you can go wrong with this one.

saw this at nearest B&B sale, not long lasting, like all B&B, skin scent after initial spray.

I hate that this is discontinued. This is a scent that could be sold forever. Bath and Bodyworks out did themselves on this one. Thankfully I picked up 3 bottles of this during their clearance sale!

Well I had to get this too much temptation at that price, well I will sum it quickly. Is a very good scent but at no means is this niche quality in term of scent or originality, this is designer quality in terms of scent and quality. But at the given price is a very good buy.

I live in Australia & dont have access to Mahogany Woods so I had a bottle sent over from the US during the discontinued sale. Wow im really impressed at how good it smells & at that price point its a steal! Personally I like it more than Pure Havane. Im sorta wishing I’d had a few bottles sent over

You might be able to find this currently at your local Bath and Body Works on clearance for $14.75! They brought it back for their semi annual sale, and now remaining bottles are on clearance. Also there’s a $10 off $30 or more, so you can technically get 2 bottles for $20! Enjoy! My local store had about 10 bottles and I bought one as a backup. I didn’t want to be too greedy, but I may have to go back…
I agree with those who say this is surprisingly good! This falls right next to Pure Havane in my collection, but they’re not all that similar. This is an awesome scent for a somehow amazing price, and I can’t believe they discontinued it! The performance is outstanding as well.

This is shockingly good, like comparable to $260 niche fragrance good.
So sweet, woody, and smooth. I’m in love and it’s a good thing I got 300ml for $45. A glimpse of happiness when life has been rough lately.
This joins Gucci pour homme 2, Eau de Baux, and Sacred Wood for my signature fall/winter rotation.

This is garbage. I am shocked that people can’t smell the citrus. It is there all the way through the top and middle. This is sweet, citrus, ambery and powdery.

Well, I am impressed, especially for an ESC, this has some longevity, even on my dry skin. Tomorrown i am going to buy their mahogany and woods lotion and stack the two.
It’s been 5 hours and it’s just a hair better than skin scent right now. I got this for 20$ on sale. 3.4 oz great deal. You cannot beat it. It’s a generic sweet smelling vanilla scent. Which is okay with me. Reminds ME of noir extreme, less powdery and a lot less powerful, however, this is the hi-point of cologne. For what you get, it’s up their with a mid grade Edt, and actually this has lasted longer than some of my EDP. I love this smell for winter.my review will be based on “For an ESC cologne”
    Scent 9/10
    Longevity 8/10
    Sillage 7/10
    Compliments 8/10
    Overall 8/10
30 bucks, EDC, 3.4oz, of course it the rating
Get this, you won’t offend anyone, it’s soft and gentle, and no one will hate it.

Bath & Body Works Mahogany Woods is a bit of a mystery scent wise but oh so good. E from Simply Put Scents named it in his top 10 bargain fragrances for the Fall. It is from the house of Bath & Body Works, a house that puts out fairly cheap eau de cologne fragrances for men. Their Ocean was my first scent and I love it, even if it is rather light.
Mahogany Woods is a woody scent in the opening with a heavy mahogany which is rare for most scents but with its bourbon vanilla dry down, it turns nearly gourmand-ish. This so unique for a scent. I hear a number of A*Men Pure Havane comparisons but it is not at all smokey or have a tobacco note to it. Instead, it is clean. Not in a soapy way because it is rather boozy, though not in a overly way like say 212 VIP (not that I hate the smell of that fragrance) so it is more of a work-friendly booze scent. Even for a school, like me.
Bath and Body Works is one of my favorite houses and this fragrance more than lives up to the hype it has earned for me. The smell lasts about 10-12 hours on a good day in ideal conditions with becoming a skin scent at the 3-4 hour mark. Sillage is pretty good too despite it being an edc rather than an edt or edp. It is an all day scent for fall and winter but because of the edc, it could be used even in summer if done very lightly.
Overall Mahogany Woods is a scent I am glad that Simply Put Scents turned me onto. I have to give this scent a 8.5 out of 10. While I love that it turns nearly into a gourmand, it is a little too vanilla heavy for my liking.

I have gone thru my second shower gel of this fragrance.
It is one of only a few, that I can “smell” on my skin after showering. I now am convinced that I need the bottle of fragrance too !! Yes, it has the vibe of Pure Havane/Insurrection Wild….but without the over sweetness/harshness too my nose. It has good sillage/longevity, but without being cloying.
    I highly recommend this one!!!

  26. :

    3 out of 5

Ok this thing is awesome.. It starts off like a Pure Havane/Insurrection Pure Wild with a bourbon note… But it becomes buttery in the dry down… Its a surprisingly good fragrance. It 30 dollars which to me is a bit steep for a b.b. and b. fragrance. But quality… Is superb. I definitely recommend getting your nose on this one.

This is a good scent with a favorable cost/quality ratio, nothing memorable, but pleasant and consistent in what delivers. As other reviewers mentioned this is a consistent and generic oriental woody solid performer, it opens with a citrusy accent that soon let the sweet portion (vanilla, amber and sandalwood) taking over and consistently boosting the sillage (6-8 hrs in my case). It is definitely a winter fragrance that will hold very well with your scarves and sweaters – I was expecting more of the woody element (mahogany wood), but i guess the sweet powdery element is hard to capture in a fragrance name targeted to a male audience. Overall it reminds me of CK One Shock For Him

I cant believe how good this fragrance is! Its woods and amber but its not a dark or heavy. Its kind of in the same vein as something like polo red but its still a completely different scent. It has some citrus in there to lighten it up too. Its the only scent from bath and body works worth getting. Knowing bath and body works though they will discontinue it like they do with all their good fragrances. This is kind of reminiscent of spicebomb except with woods and not in a generic way.

Wow, a Bath & Body Works fragrance that actually has decent longevity. As in lasting 6-7 hours on skin, with mostly solid projection.
On a cold fall day, I got a pleasant mahogany blend with boozy vanilla, drying down to a softer toned booze/vanilla mix. During warm weather (above 75 degree) applications, the mahogany must break up very quickly because it is barely evident. Either way, a great bang for $$ deal. This is the best from this house since the discontinued “Woodland.” I would gladly buy another bottle when this one runs out.

Bath and Body Works Mahogany Woods is one of the better deals out there, especially for fans of boozy, sweet fragrances, at $29.50 for 100ml. It’s very sweet, very much a candied sweetness with whiskey and woods, mich sweeter than, say, By Kilian Single Malt or Thierry Mugler Pure Malt, or even Pure Havane. So this would only appeal to those that can stomach the sweetness. I can’t speak to the notes very specifically, but I imagine vanilla supplies some of the sweetness, given how sweet it is. I like the boozines to whiskey, and the woodiness to maple.
Longevity and projection and both strong for an EDC, as it projects for a couple hours and then remains a skin scent for 6-8 hours; far closer to my expectation of a good EDT, not a EDC.
While it’s not specifically masculine, I imagine it would still work best for men, though I’m sure some women would enjoy it. It surely demands a try by men who enjoy sweet, boozy fragrances, though.

I heard about this fragrance from Steven at Redolessence, so I decided to make the purchase – a good deal on the “buy two get one free” deal that B&BW has, and combined with a coupon it’s a steal.
WOW. This could have been bottled by a high profile company such as Chanel or Dior and I never would have known. On my skin I pick up amber, a bit of sweet tobacco, and some woods. It’s like a combination of Ambre Narguile, maybe some YSL L’homme, and a sprinkle of Pure Havane minus the cherry note. It’s really smells wonderful on me.
Good for casual all the way to a night out, also good for the workplace. Very versatile, can be worn by a male or female, but leans masculine. Not a powerhouse, projects for a few hours then sits close to the skin for another 4 hours or so. Very happy to have this in my collection.

This is like the “masculine” version of Charles Jourdan The Parfum or BBW’s own Sensual Amber. The strange thing is that when I spray it on I initially don’t care for it, but within perhaps 20 minutes I find myself enjoying it, even though I detect no “development.” If you don’t like unisex scents, though, you may find this too “feminine.” Don’t expect strong woods here, as it’s more of a gourmand, though not totally food-like. For under $20 it’s an excellent deal, IMO, if you like this sort of composition.

This is easily the best men’s scent that Bath and Body Works currently carries (or has carried in the last few years). It is warm, very rich, and sweet.
To me, all of the listed notes are evident. I get something citrusy and vegetal (the bell pepper, although I don’t think I would recognize it as that if I didn’t see the notes listed) along with the mahogany. The sage note (that is heavily used by B&BW) comes in sweet and strong with the cognac, but quickly fades while the cognac remains very noticeable. The vanilla and amber come in front and center while the sandalwood and tonka add to a nice smoothness that has, at this point, begun to develop.
Considering that this goes for less than $10 per ounce, it is an excellent value. Neither longevity nor silage are phenomenal, but are on-par or slightly better than many other fragrances that can be bought for the same price (including scents that can be bought for a similar price when discounted).
This really shines during autumn and winter, I would be hesitant to wear it during warm weather, though. I have heard that this is more mature (as most boozy and woody scents are) but I think that it is safe enough for almost everyone. It can be worn day or night, although it may lean towards nights. It is one of the more formal scents from Bath & Body Works, although I think that it can still be worn very easily in a casual setting.
A sweet, ambery crown pleaser (I get amber as much as wood), but worth a test or blind buy (they have a very good return policy) especially for those looking for something in this category. It isn’t the best or is it top of the line, but it is very pleasant, very accessible, and very well priced.
To add, I appreciate the new bottles. They are much more visually appealing compared to their former bottles, many of which were tacky. The glass is thick and heavy and the cap is solid and fits very well.

Yes, finally added in the database. To me it smells like sensuality in a bottle. More of a pretty boy little brother to Dirty English.

This is a good scent. However I have a friend that wears this, way too much! You can smell him long after he left the room which is a bad thing! The scent is nice but can get very cloying if sprayed too much. The woodsy vanilla scent definitely is nice and pleasant. More for the fall and winter but could be worn in spring also. Good performance.

This is my favorite BBW scent right now. I hope they never discontinue this, I think it is one of the best they have. Its a warm woodsy scent with a teeny tiny sweetness to it. I spayed two sprays at about 10:30 am and it still smells just as good as it did this morning now at 6:30 pm. I think anyone can wear this, it’s very unisex. It’s cozy and warm, perfect for chilly days. I also have the lotion which to me smells like egg nog with bit of wood.

  38. :

I agree I love most unisex scents or even just male cologne, this and aspin from bbw is nice, try dark kiss when you have a chance , my brother said he would wear it and it’s a perfume.. Also my partner who wears one million by Paco r. Was interested in dark kiss, which says allot because she’s very picky!

  39. :

    3 out of 5

Glad to see this is added to the database! I own it even though it’s marketed to men. Actually, I like a lot of BBW’s scents for men!
This is woodsy of course, hence the name “Mahogany Woods”. It smells like a fall day to me. On my skin I get the cognac, but in small amounts, which I think adds some spice to it. I can also smell the bourbon vanilla, tonka, amber and of course, the woodsy notes. It’s like a woodsy-vanilla if that makes sense, with nuances of booze. I think woman can easily wear this one as well, especially if you’re wanting a change from the usual BBW stuff. The longevity is moderate along with moderate sillage. You’ll get better if you layer with the shower and lotion.
