This one was really lovely and I wish they’d bring it back. Thank you to everyone who posts alternatives!

If you are looking for very similar scents to this, look at what’s offered by L’Occitane, Jo Malone and Acqua di Parma. Some very nice options there that you will like.
I bought B&BW Magnolia Blossom based on the raves here. It’s certainly a very nice, fresh, soft fragrance that smells authentically of Magnolia rather than chemicals.
However, its longevity is the worst of my 200+ collection of fragrance samples. It’s undetectable within 30 minutes. Definitely not worth the expense of vintage stock, and not practical to use as an actual perfume.

Beautiful fragrance. After a shower this smells so good on me and I’ve received many compliments. A floral fragrance made up of dominant magnolia but sweet with touches of rose, peach blossom, jasmine and honeysuckle. This is very much an amber perfume also and it’s really all I could detect at the base. The musk is light white musk. Magnolia is my favorite flower so I always look for fragrances that have magnolia. Light, soft, sweet. Downside: doesn’t last too long but you can re apply. I carry it in my handbag. Perfect for warm summer months and spring days. Day time casual. Nothing mature or complicated about it, just a sweet and innocent fresh floral scent with a soapy amber touch at the end. I love Bath & Body Works. I must have bought every one of their fragrances.

I have savoured this fragrance since I brought it….But now that I have heard of scentmatchers.com i may just well order a bottle and see if they get close to the real thing….It seems that BBW will never reinstate this fragrance so time to move on!!! It is beautiful…I love it and it does remind me of Issey Miyake a wee bit….Honey suckle…jasmin…gorgeous…Im glad im well stocked because it’s fetching a mighty high price on EBay these days…

Sigh… wearing this today and it really is perfection. I have a little bit of the body splash left, about 80% of the EDT (which I am reserving for special occasions), and about half of a bottle of lotion left. This, Pear Blossom, Gardenia, Lavender Flowers, and Toasted Hazelnut (the last two are very old… 2001ish) are my all time favorite B&BW scents. I really do miss the days when B&BW created very original and authentic scents based on a single or very few notes. I also love the older, simplistic packaging. Don’t get me wrong, I still love and use B&BW products and am very impressed with some of the blended scents (Twilight Woods and Beautiful Day are amazing scents IMO) that they come up with, but nothing beats the old school B&BWs days.
If you are a magnolia lover and are able to get your hands on this gem, or willing to pay for it on ebay, I highly suggest going for it. I have never smelt such a nice magnolia scent to this day. It is fresh, clean, authentic, and comforting. Perfect for any time of the year, but fantastic during the spring. A+

This was a huge disappointment when I returned to BBW to buy another set and found it to be discontinued. I have also contacted BBW by email to let them know that I have taken my business elsewhere and that I find the rest of their products to be sub-standard compared to MB. I believe it was BBW who started the whole gourmand revolution by introducing breakthrough scents like country apple that everyone wanted back in the day. Pear Glace too- was that Victoria’s Secret? Perhaps… but mid-90’s saw an explosion for scents previously not on the market by BBW. Now that everyone caught on, BBW isn’t the giant they used to be.
On principle, I refuse to buy any of their products just because of my beloved Magnolia Blossom. Never had more compliments than from that fragrance from men and women alike.

BTW there is also a website called scentmatchers.com that I have been ordering from since they’ve discontinued the scent and they match it perfectly. It’s much cheaper than purchasing from eBay. I have also notified BBW that I have been taking my business there along with others that I know… They really don’t care.

I have contacted Bath & Body Works several times via e-mail and made my friends and family do so as well. I mean at least 100 people, and they still have done nothing! I’ve lost hope on getting this fragrance reinstated.

This is one of my favorite scents in the B&BW collection. Most floral fragrances give me a headache, but this one is just right! It’s very light, feminine, and suitable for everyday-wear. I like how I can somehow just smell the pear in there. This fragrance reminds me of springtime on my skin…probably not summer because it’s way too humid where I live to have this scent fit in. However, I rarely use this because they have discontinued this fragrance! So sad!

I bought the splash in 2007, along with a few other like – Japanese cherry blossom, honeysuckle, moonlight path, etc. Among all the fragrances I tried, this one remained an absolute favourite. I got it from a friend in the US (I am based in India) in 2008, and have been using the same bottle eversince.
After enquiring later, I got to know that they have stopped the production.
Guys, lets start a petition or any other activity to compel the production team of BBW to restart this product!!
Let’s use this platform to come together and write a mailer to the BBW team.

I just sprung and bought a bottle of both the lotion and the mist off of ebay for decent prices (compared to the other listings anyway :)).
WHY was this ever discontinued!?!? THis is so unbelievably beautiful. The overall tone of the fragrance is buttery, velvety, smooth, warm, just a PERFECT floral! Never too heavy or sweet, gloriously feminine. B&BW, if you’re listening, you would make a goldmine if you brought this beauty back!

I deeply regret not stocking up on this when I had the opportunity. This is such a clean, beautiful fragrance that radiates with femininity. It has a cool essence that makes it perfect for spring and summer, being fresh and floral. The balance between the musk and the sweet honeysuckle make it neither too sweet nor too bitter, but strikes a balance between the two. The sandalwood lends a lovely earthy note, while the magnolia creates a clean, romantic touch. Just wish they’d bring it back; if they did, it’d be one of my main fragrances.

I am in the process of collecting the classic & discontinued scent from BBW. And I am so freaking lucky to have bought Magnolia Blossom body mist for just US$8 from a forum friend of mine. I sincerely think this is the CLASSIEST scent that BBW ever produced. It smells like a high quality niche perfume, albeit a linear one…Heck I can peel the BBW label and put the new ‘Serge Lutens’ or ‘Guerlain’ label in front of the bottle and nobody would even notice the difference scent-wise. It is that classy! Magnolia blooms in the opening, and I can smell the faint rose mingling. Middle notes, the rose is gone and all that left is a soft, fleeting magnolia petals until the end. Pure class from BBW. But it sucks that they actually discontinued this gem…This scent is not for teenagers though, more ladylike & mature. I am using this scent sparingly and only for a classy date or formal parties.

I have never smelled this scent before, so I came here hoping to find some reviews. Unfortunately, all that I find are requests to bring the scent back. If you really want BBW to bring this scent back, then I urge you to email or call their customer service, if you have not done so already. Leaving comments here on Fragrantica will go unseen by BBW. Also, I hope that more people will leave helpful reviews of this fragrance so that people like me who have not smelled it can get an idea of what it’s like. Thanks!

Like most everyone else here, I adore Magnolia Blossom and was saddened to see it removed from B&BW’s available line. I miss my “Fall Fragrance” and plan to let B&BW know about it! If and until it becomes available through B&BW, I will search for it at a more reasonable price.

To: guest_Magnolia Blosson (and all the other “guests”):
Just an idea, and this might be more productive, but perhaps you should write to Bath & Body Works with your suggestion to “bring it back”. Nothing can be done about here at a fragrance information website.

I continue to wonder why they discontinue this heavenly scent as much as you guys!! All the new scents are not even measurable to this lovely classic! Please BBW we NEED Magnolia Blossom back!!

I LOVED this fragrance. It was so soft and demure. B&BW is crazy to discontinue this one. They should have discontinued White Cherry Blossom, or Honeysuckle instead. It’s because of this fragrance, that now I’m SEARCHING for a good Magnolia Soli Flore (sp?)

I had this a year ago and used it til the last drop.
Very romantic scent, makes me think of a happy wedding!(Well all weddings are supposed to be happy).
The balance of peach and magnolia makes this scent a sure winner.

why oh why did bath & body works do away with this scent?! it was among the best of their scents. it was understatedly sexy yet simple.
i use it sparingly for fear it’ll run out and i won’t have a way of replacing it.
    *****************************
I wasn’t too pleased with my simplistic first review of Magnolia Blossom. Moonlight Path is a simplistic scent that is deserving of a simplistic, nice review. Not my precious Magnolia Blossom.
Let me be clear, it’s a simple, linear fragrance. But sometimes simple is best. To add something, anything to this simple scent is to add a daisy to a beautiful bouquet of rich, red roses. It just does not fit.
Magnolia and nothing but magnolia. It’s glorious! It starts out mildly sweet and full of magnolia and ends mild and still full of magnolia. It is among B&BW’s finest fragrances.
Why they discontinued Magnolia Blossom will forever baffle me. Then again, they seem to have a habit of keeping their safest–and sometimes most uninspired–scents for all posterity and do away with their most interesting scents. (Vanilla Noir is going the way of Magnolia Blossom, another one of the company’s more interesting fragrances.)

Dear lord, I loved this perfume so much! It was my favorite back in 2007. It made me sad to see them pull it off the shelves. This, at the time, was the only scent I liked at B&BW. I hope they bring it back as a classic.

I have to get this…I have the body splash…and this is seriously the BEST magnolia scent out there. SO NICE.
