Description
Blood Concept came up with a new idea and a new fragrance, Blood Concept +MA, The Scent After. The idea, which is as global as their interes in the history of mankind and evolution of blood types ( 4 blood types perfumes), is about “throwing an investigating eye after what people call the end of the world. Which scent will we wear in the new era we are about to step in? A haven from violence, an escape from outer threats.”
This fragrance doesn’t contain any ‘blood’ metalic notes from the OABAB range of fragrances. It’s about cleaness, cozyness, innocence, the fragrance incorporated familiar and unfamiliar notes which give you an impression of pure white color.
The name: +MA – PLUS MA – PLASMA +MA was launched in 2012.

I think something is wrong with this page – you can’t see the ingredients, choose how you feel about it and when you’d wear it or compare this to anything else (Although several of the reviews do mention certain notes and/or accords they get).
What’s going on?

+MA opens with lots of sweet watermelon notes. After the opening the scent changes and becomes a bit stale, with a more sweeter and briny undertone. Then I start to smell cucumber notes, fresh and slightly sourish, with a bit of musk.
Longevity is moderate and sillage is soft on me.
This scent reminds me of a pitcher of water with cucumber slices. Fresh, slightly sour, slightly sweet, with a bit of musk. This scent is seriously different from the others in this range, almost completely the opposite. I do like it, sort of, but probably not enough to buy a full bottle.

This is my first try with Blood Concept, which I’ve been meaning to test since they came out with all their cryptic campaigning. Having forgotten to track down a shop which stocks them in LES last time I was in NYC, I finally ordered a sample from Luckyscent. I rather like it, though I know it’s one of their “safer” releases and better suited to women. It is synthetic but interestingly constructed, green and sweet, definitely plays off the millenial “more human than human” theme. Which is cool, but I can imagine this more on a rich, upbeat art-party going girl aged 20-25 than myself. Interested to try others from the line.

Cucumbers! Green and crispy fresh cucumbers!
Like a cucumber juice with tons of vitamins! Very long lasting and goes after your each step like a serial killer LOL This one is for the brave folks out there..By the way, much more feminine then masculine in my taste.

White +MA smells of clean white musk, sweet white flowers, cotton candy, and metallic notes. This one is much more wearable than its red counterpart, and while being unisex its floral sweetness places it towards the feminine side of the spectrum. The opening is definitely metallic, but it’s a very clean sort of metallic which isn’t the slightest bit off-putting. While i’m not the biggest fan of blood concept in general, this happens to be one of my favorite blood concept fragrances, second only to blood concept B.

+MA smells like ethereal plasma + fresh seaweed trails + seduction + perk-like dry cleaner vapours. It may sound disgusting but mmmm, it smells divine and I love it!

The former line up by “The Blood Concept”, while striking as incredibly polarizing, gained the attention of loads of perfumistos around the world for its “weird” yet “artsy” concept. Fragrances inspired by blood types aimed to represent the evolution of mankind. The juices, more or less successful, were characterized by a metallic accord (the blood-accord) working as a common demeanor around which four different fragrances took life. One spicy, one leathery, one green and one completely synthetic. +MA moves in a completely different direction…
The name +MA (Plus-Ma – Plas-Ma) is probably the most funny part. The rest of the fragrance is an almost vile concoction of cucumber flavoured cotton candy, white musk and laundry detergent with an overall bilge-like note which is possibly the closest thing to pure disgust.
Hair-rising even for a sphynx cat.
Rating: 3/10

A new and different offering from the Mad scientists at Blood Concept brings to the table a very sweet very candy-like treat. I smell a fresh floral array of notes with an sweet, sugary orange/tangerine scent but not in a typical citrus way. It bears some resemblance to the pink and blue sugar fragrances, without the licorice. I like this but find it to be more leaning toward feminine side than masculine. CANDY SWEETNESS.
