A delicious strong floral musk vanilla that smells like a sun tan lotion!

I really don’t want to be the party-breaker -especially how popular this fragrance is- but this scent is the disappointment of my life.
How nice would be to love it! Love the simple design, the projection, the durability! But not the fragrance.
I wore a few times, but I was always looking forward to disappearing from me. Violent, disproportionate, industrial, and very artificial vanilla-flower scent without any concept.

Lily and vanilla opening, tuberose body. Quite simple actually. I wish the opening lasted longer, because now i feel like I’m just wearing a tuberose absolute.

At first I thought this was too cute to suit me. I get the softest lily that settles into bubblegum tuberose. The vanilla is a beautiful whisper of support. It’s my favorite femme scent now (overtaking Lipstick On), because it’s just so soft and pretty.

  5. :

A strong soft fairly sweet opening of white flowers that reminds me of banana flavored candies that gets slightly richer and deeper with musk and woody and very slightly spicy. Not really lily dominant only in the middle to end notes is there a hint of lily. For those who do not like spicy indolic edgy lily. I tend to like a bit more stem, greenness and bite so it’s a bit too soft for me. But it’s quite gentle, ladylike, sweet, and nice.

This is beautiful floral clean strong perfume.
Opens with jasmine and other white flowers, last long and it dries down beautifully to more clean fragrance
One of most beautiful scent i ever smelled
It different than others but there is something nostalgic it remains me from childhood maybe some shapoo/soap even it is not soapy scent
If i have to find one little bit similar I would say that Terracotta from Guerlain is in same group…

You’re drinking a Vanilla Coke in a blooming garden of white flowers in the middle of the woods. Lys 41 by Le Labo.

    This is a powerhouse.
It truly got me by surprise. I read the notes so I wasn’t exactly too excited and in my head I already pictured the boring fragrance.
    But, oh was I wrong!
Fleshy tuberose mingling with a tart berry note, a innocent jasmine with a powdery lily. It’s like a spell of Nymphs. I can’t help myself but to surrender, it’s beyond gorgeous.

This fragrance and Jo Malone Tuberose & Angelica Cologne are just like “Beauty and the Beast”. I’m not a big big fan of white floral notes in fragrances in general but this one by far is my most favorite one of the velvety and creamy Tuberose – Jasmine composition. I have tried Diptyque Do Son (with mostly Jasmine note in it), and Prada La Femme (and La Femme Intense) and this one is still on top of the list as the smoothest, freshest and softest fragrance, yet very long lasting. It is so elegant, sophisticated, “lady like”. It is like the scent of a fairy god mother 🙂
Michael Kors has been known for his “white floral” frags, but his perfumes are still lack of the freshness, creaminess of this beauty. Kim Kardashian Crystal Gardenia becomes a “cloying”, “rigid” one, standing next to this. Tom Ford Soleil Blanc is a little “weak” and “sharp” compared to Lys 41.
Anytime I wear this fragrance, I always think of luxurious vacation resorts, fine silk and cashmere, delicate and rare white flowers only grow on top of some high mountains. Hypothetically speaking, if my house was on fire, and I could not save ALL my perfume bottles, I would sacrifice them and save just my Tom Ford Shanghai Lily and THIS ONE 🙂

Lys 41 starts out smelling like gardenia and I swear it’s in there despite it not being listed. It is an overwhelming white floral fragrance that blends jasmine, tuberose absolute, and lily. It is bewitching in its noble, warm and sunny approach, yet treacherous once caught in its web of noble wood, Madagascar vanilla, and musk. Lys 41 rewards those looking for a statement with an addictive floral buzz that is as potent as its wake and as insistent as the people following you around.
I’m picturing a Parisian midsummer-night garden party; night flowers are blooming in a disorderly, overgrown garden, under the light of a Full Moon… she is in a velvet dress, chaotic and beautiful. Her perfume is as intoxicating as the heady indolent blooms surrounding her, and as constant as the steady beams of moonlight, lighting up her voluptuous velvet-wrapped form.

Begins like truth or dare or fracas, ends up as cacharel’s lou lou on me.
Mostly tuberose than lily. Don’t let the name trick you. Definately try first

I love white florals and particularly tend to gravitate toward jasmine, so expected to love Jasmin 17, but this is the heady, night-blooming rush I was looking for. I was in the shop to buy Santal 33, actually – which I had been contemplating for a while, as these perfumes are quite pricey – and loved this so much that I bought it on a complete whim. What’s better, I tested both on my wrists at the same time, and find that this combines beautifully with Santal 33’s smoky woodsiness. It’s such a pure fragrance – like crushed white petals are floating around you (tons of them) – that I think it would layer beautifully with many other darker scents.

It smells just like an old perfume extract forgotten for years in the closet; as l already told, fragrances are very personal and for me Lys 41 is a no-go; it is a such strong sillage l could even taste it after minutes l applied the scent on my skin.

  14. :

Lily, mentholated tuberose, and jasmine. Heady bouquet of white flowers, very feminine. The overall smell reminds me of some sunscreens and evokes coastal images. Strong sillage, a little too much for me. Make sure you sample before you buy.

Honestly, I am not a fan of Le Labo and I am not very into the experience in their boutique. I dont like the design of the bottle and package and I think Le Labo doesnt worth the price it has, I don´t like they fake a lab in a shop and make fragrances in the fake lab. I dont see it a lot of fun.
But I really love love love love this scent. I dont care if it is a fragrance for woman. I am a man but I love it. It is strong, sweet, warm, bright and happy scent. It is not a typical fresh light but smells so clean. I tried all the scents in the boutique in paris and this one and oud 29 were the only two in which I had my interests. I bought the samples and i found that I only love Lys 41.
It smells so special and so strong which makes me feel being protected. If I cannot find another fragrance can replace this one, I would definitely buy this one.

I ordered a sample vial of this and have been wearing it today. I cannot wait to shower it off. This is very beachy to me. I normally love beachy type scents, but I find it a bit sharp and aggressive. It’s a little too much. On first spray, I loved it and found it powdery and flirty, but there aren’t enough deep notes to ground this. I think maybe some juicy citrus in there would make it a little more complex. For me it is a headache-inducer.

Testing sample and there is something i know something it reminds me from past
I cant identify shapoo? Cream? Don’t know but i really like it.
As i said on me it is clean shampo smell sweet powdery dry down absolutely nothing oriental or spicy as others wrote
I think people like this because it gives very clean nice smell and feeling.
It is not parfume for those who like statement parfums like shalimar, coco chanel or some of tom ford or other guerlains ….
I recieved compliment but person couldn’t recognize what it is parfum? Shampoo, laundry, soap, cream?
And i love this kind of parfumes!
Love it, my new signature perfume. Strong and long lasting.

I was very curious about this perfume, especially because it has so many positive reviews here… so I ordered it online. I liked it on my skin, but I also asked 3 men (from 28 to 35 years old) and all of them said it was too strong and they were all unsure whether they liked it or not. Weird, I was expecting at least one compliment, but it was not the case.

Delicious – nice sillage. The dance among the main floral notes with the vanilla and musk is sophisticated, sexy, and classy. My new favourite!

Not really lily on me more like a nice take on an airy jasmine oriental scent.

On initial spray, it smells like Johnson & Johnson’s baby oil mixed with light florals. Within 30 minutes, it develops into a heady, creamy lily in full bloom, with just the slightest jasmine peaking through. After an hour, it becomes a forest of white flowers buttressed by tuberose with a sturdy heart of woods. On an elegant woman, this can be an every day scent. On a more casual woman, this is the perfect special-occasion choice. As a lady in her mid-20s, I prefer to save this for very rare moments. I can imaging myself bathing in Lys 41 in twenty more years – that is not to say this is a very mature scent, just more refined and sophisticated. It is for a confident woman who knows what she wants. Although it is not an offensive scent in my opinion, it is better suited for a beautiful day out than in the workplace (some may find it a bit too heady).

The lily is my favorite flower. But it is a difficult task for that flower to smell fantastic in a parfum. In most of the ones I have tested, they end up smelling too indolic. Not this gorgeous blend. This is heaven on earth! I’m so excited to have found Lys 41. A beautifully done parfum that expresses the lily so amazingly.

Hi, my name is Michael and I love white flowers. I am a burly 6’3″ man and I want to smell like Lys 41 every day. This is sweet, delicate and unmistakably feminine up front, but give it some time and you will meet the naughty side of these mischievous flowers soon enough.

BOLD and BEAUTIFUL! Soooo rich with creamy, strong white florals and woody notes, Lys 41 is a wonderful Masterpiece!!! I adore it!!!

This is a revelation. As much as I love certain other fragrances, this is now my favourite to wear and will be my Signature. I will always rotate a couple others into my week I am sure, because they are so wonderful, but this, this is the exception.
I admit that the notes in this perfume touch me in my heart and in my blood because they remind me of the artisan scents concocted in small, enchanting alcove stores in New Orleans, and the notes remind me of the feeling of that city and the way it smells and tastes. It’s evocative and alive and filled with joy. It feels like good jazz and the slight buzz after a bellini wandering those magic streets with the sounds of brass and gypsy waltzes echoing through the streets. I sigh even writing this….
These notes are also the ultimate in femininity and radiate a happiness. But, there’s also a sexiness to them.. as fleshy and ripe and creamy as they are. And lo and behold, this *lasts* and *lasts* – I did bathe myself in it when I purchased it, but it really does go for hours. I had a woman comment on it after having had it on for a good couple of hours and she could even smell it on the new coat I had tried on and was buying. LOL.
It’s worth your money. As a comparison, I tried Carnal Flower on one hand and it had faded to a bare, green note. This scent is all its voluptuous and bright and enveloping magic is the same the whole way through and doesn’t seem overly green. Mentioning this if you are comparing the two as there seems to be much comparison between them for those in the market of a lily, tuberose, jasmine fragrance.
I think what imparts this lasting quality is the undertone of the vanilla. Weight isn’t the right word as it doesn’t make it heavy, but perhaps anchoring it is the right adjective… it keeps it whole and underpinned as something that clings to the skin.
Enjoy this beauty if you can find it and try it. She’s a superb fragrance and I am excited to make her mine….as she seems to have stolen my heart. I am smitten.

Scent – vanilla woods, musky jasmine, tuberose soliflore & lily.
Season/Time of Day – I prefer to use this one in the warmer months, during the day.
Projection – I did get noticed, it garners compliments.
    Longevity – I get 24hrs consistently.

Thick, heavy, buttery, creamy, sweet, waxy combination of Lily and Tuberose, but I also perceive Ylang and Tiare/Jasmine…it smells tropical. The Vanilla and amber/woody/musc base keep it rich. It is a linear soliflore…incredibly long lasting (24hrs+) and one spray could do just fine! I adore this perfume, a big Love for me, exactly what I wanted ..I love my white flowers to be exactly as they are…Bold and Richly fragrant.

Lys 41 starts out smelling like gardenia, so I can see why people would say it is similar to Isabey’s Gardenia. Once the sweet opening settles I can smell the most divine tuberose ever! This fragrance made me give tuberose another try because it’s so lush and gorgeous in this fragrance! Surprisingly I do not get any lily in this fragrance, bust considering it smells so exquisite, that’s fine by me. Lys 41 is what I had hoped Carnal Flower would be. I thought Carnal Flower would be my ultimate tuberose fragrance, but it ended up smelling too earthy for me – like tuberose that had been plucked from the ground and put into the fragrance with its roots and dirt still attached! I still like Carnal Flower, but I LOVE Lys 41! If you are a tuberose lover or enjoy sweet creamy white florals this fragrance is for you!

I first noticed this fragrance on my friend, it was really intriguing (he’s a guy and I’m a girl). The fresh floral burst was amazing, since I didn’t read any reviews before, I noticed jasmine, a lot. After reading, I noticed there was tuberose, a scent I normally hate (note diptyque’s tubereuse or byredo’s flowerhead), but somehow the white flower tasted much more delicious through Le Labo’s hands.
I love the creamy feeling of the scent and how it wraps around your body, very warm but fresh. Great for both men and women.

This is a very lovely scent. (It says it’s for Woman but I find it a unisex fragrance)it’s a really good spring day time scent.i find this one very strange in the performance as its really light and I can’t really smell it after a small time of putting it on but other people can still smell it on me.its strange.i very nice perfume I just wish I can smell it on me like other people do.
UPDATE. I sprayed this today this time on my clothes and during the day I kept smelling this Jasmine smell and later realized it’s this perfume I sprayed.if you want the perfume to last spray it on your clothes it will linger longer and you will be thankful for it.☺

A blubbery little thing of no immediate distinction, but one that represents lilies (a floral that doesn’t smell that great in nature) quite well. There’s a bunch of vanillic tuberose and a backgrounded gasoline jasmine, but the cumulative effect is an inflated ballon of white florals with some textural character. Too many sprays of this one and you’ll be gasping for air, so be warned.

  33. :

    3 out of 5

This is beautifully made and more complex than I had given credit at first sniff. This is all about lush, warm white florals. Each one gets the opportunity to have olfactory dominance at different times and I’m in awe of how perfumers do that! Lys 41 opens with large lily, then tuberose bleeds forward and after that I get a creamy warm and woody jasmine. This jasmine is lovely and tropical, not of the “cat urine” variety. Sillage is moderate to soft on dry skin and longevity moderate (7+ hours). Overall, it’s a beautiful anytime fragrance. Sincere and elegant. She’s the girl next door that you very slowly realize that you’ve fallen in love with.

  34. :

It is such a beautiful scent! Strong and sweet and looong lasting! It is not fresh on me but rather heady if i spray properly. You can really smell lily, tuberose and later vanilla which makes the perfume really warm on me. I would recommend this to anyone who likes white florals and lilies!

“Lys 41” is big, bold, dirty white flower perfume with a creeping smell of ‘the real deal’ lily. I’ve never been a lily fan, but I freaking love this, I would not describe this fragrance as “nice and fresh” at all, it has a very strong animal accords and it could be too much if you spray generously.
This definitely earns a place on my wish list, not only for being high quality ‘monster fragrance’, but for being one of the few lilies I can enjoy (first being FM Lys Mediterranee)

  36. :

    5 out of 5

A big hearted lily dominating the scent from opening to drydown. Reminds me so much of my childhood sticking my nose into casablanca lilies until my allergies started kicking in because of the pollen. The vanilla is very tame in this and in the drydown it becomes slightly musky. Big sillage and good longevity, over six hours on me and still lingering slightly after a shower. Reminds me alot of Honour by Amouage.

Well definitely the real thing, naked and strong lily there, maybe too much of a good thing for me, smelling it in the “real ugly” bottle, I can smell how authentic the lily is, to wear it on me, well, it is another story.you need to love lily to enjoy it, I have it,am not enjoying it. Very floral, it lacks smoothness for me, and the bottle is a huge turn off. Not saying it doesn’t smell nice, because it does.just not for me.
