    19. september 2014
Just recieved this one in the mail and tested it both on paper and my skin. My bottle is 100ml EDT spray, brand new/unused, made in Switzerland with a short list of ingredients (alcohol, parfum, aqua), bath code 80261.
I agree with those ones, who say that the opening is alcoholic and unpleasant, however i tend to belive that this is due to the age of fragrance. The opening is quite bitter right in the beginning, i can briefly smell the bitter peel of mandarin orange , but it lasts for couple of minutes only and then it starts to develope into a nice combination of melon, litchi, LOTV. it is quite fruity in the opening, might smell bit synthetic for some. Then it starts to develope into the nice mix of violet, rose and synthetic peach. I am not sure if i smell the drydown yet, but i am also not sure if i ever will, since it morphs later into a skin scent, that i can hardly smell (or either i have developed an allergy and can´t smell anything).
To sum it up – i would call it a typical 90´s scent, i know i have smelled something very similar like “Lyra 3”, but i just can´t put my finger on it. At first i thought that the middle stage is resemblening “venezia pastello” by Biagiotti, but then i am not quite sure about it. It might be also similar to “Roses and more” by P.Presley, which, however has more dominant violet note, but in Lyra – the rose is dominant. I agree a lot with the reviews by “Adrien02” and “sistertricked”, they are both right, HOWEVER i don´t smell any vetyver, no vanilla and no sandalwood (i can´t smell the base of this fragrance somehow). It is airy, has a bit of watery feeling, yet is quite potent and fullbodied at the same time.
Smells like a vintage lipstick to me. No kidding! And i like it. It is not my tyoe of scent 100%, but i really like it and recommend for the rose/violet combo lovers if you can get through the bitter opening.
UPDATE: (few weeks later in early october)
Ok, by now i have managed to give this fragrance a full time test, not only the wrist test i was describing above and it turned out to be a total disaster for me. I have quite liberally sprayed it all over my hair and behind the ears (5 sprays as i do usually) and it was so intense that it made me sick. The weird opening, bitter aquatic and alcoholic was so strong this time and it lasted for hours that i couldn´t tolerate it. I was at work and waited impatiently when i finally reach the “lipstic” base and i almost never reached it. for the good 8 hours almost all i could smell was melon, alcohol and biterness with a hint of violet and rose by the end of the day. I felt really sick so the first thing i did when i went home after work is i went to the department store and oversprayed myself with some other sweet scent which actually not helped much. 🙁 So now i am very turned off by this fragrance and i believe it should be used during the warm weather, because in the cold october it smelled just like the fallen leaves in the park, that begin to rotten. Very bad indeed. I hope to retest Lyra3 next year during the summer time and hopefully write a new review. I am waiting for the Lyra2 and Lyra1 EDTs in the post so i could review them as well, but by far the pure parfum/extrait of Lyra1 that i already have was the winner and smelled intense and fantastic!
Please do not remove this comment, since others might find it useful. Not every review should be positive, so people like me wanted to make a blind buy might find it very informative. Thanks.

Absolutely stunning! I have some great memories with my former GF wearing this one 13 years ago. Just sniffed it and got transported staright back to then. Pure sex appeal! Fresh, confident, charming and sexual. Another amazing one from the house of Alain Delon!

I bought this on a bit of a whim. After discovering there are three fragrances with the same name as my daughter I had to have one. The description of this one seemed like the best and I’m not dissapointed! Very watery/fruity/floral. Wouldn’t use the term powdery at all – more like almost smokey. I can’t stop sniffing myself! I may be sick of it when I get through my 100ml, but until then I think this is going to be my favourite summer and springtime fragrance.

Adrien’s description is on the spot. The fragrance starts with an alcoholic blast of fruit (maybe my juice is a bit old?) out of which come citruses and lily of the valley, giving an impression of a classic (pungent?) floralcy typical to lily of the valley pure florals (it’s similar to Caron’s Fleur de Rocaille texture). The melon note is lost here for me, but it emerges later and gives a sweeter twist, rounding the smell. The litchi and the citruses have an evident mouth watering quality along with the florals anchored on a sandalwood base. The vetyver keeps the juiciness in play and I do not feel any amber pulling down to earth this lively concoction. I am still waiting for the vanilla to come out, but anyway I see this as a classic citrus-sandalwood-vetyver sporty fragrance for women.

This fragrance is certainly full of fruits and flowers. And dominant doesn’t even begin to cover it. This is a sharp, pungent opening. So sharp I smell not only the melon and citrus fruit inside but also the sharp bitterness of the rinds of those fruit as well. Same goes for the rose. Not only do the petals make an entry but I can almost smell the scent of the bark being stripped from the stems and there is a sharpness to it as well, as sharp as the thorns adorning the stems. The litchi and peach make it bearable later on and the vetyver and sandalwood play nice together with the amber and vanilla and no one is taking their toys away here and going home. Wonder frag.
