Heavy on Rose notes..Sandalwood becomes a bit more prominent in the drydown. However, don’t expect a proper sandalwood here like in Tam Dao, Sacred Wood, or Santal Blush.

Bergamot, sandalwood, patchouli, clemintine and cassis come thru the opening blast. I agree this could be a chanel exclusif. The cassis note could be controversial for some as if the chemistry doesnt mesh with it it could turn pissy. That is my only caution about this scent. I would have put plum in to make it more universal and give a sweetness it needs to counterbalance the acidic citrus and scratchy woods and jam up the rose..but thats just me. As the heart opens the patchouli rose on a bed of woods is great. Its strong, slightly rough, arabic in tone. It smells rich, sandalwoody, and radient. I like it a lot. Its different from most of my collection. Unisex that leans masculine. A woman into arabic or heavier complex scents could pull this off. Sandalwood fans..this is for you. Its a quality buy.

I don’t remember what Richwood smells like, just that it wasn’t very “rich” and I wasn’t impressed, thus this would be more aptly named if they actually share similar aroma. With that said, Lux Opulent actually smells like something from the Chanel Exclusifs; it has a classic aldehydic feel with the rose & sandalwood, which pairs perfectly with the sparkly golden image.
