Strong resemblance to Angel EDT (the early 2010s release with Eva Mendes as the face). If you like Angel’s notes but find it to be too much, you’d like Lunea.
I fell in love with the first KM scent I tried (Peau de Peche), so have continued to sample from her line with no success. They’re all more or less slightly nicer department store scents at twice the price.

This has a beautiful gourmand opening. You get a blast of chocolate and hot caramel with a fresh note of orange. It almost reminds me of Bond New Haarlem, it’s got the same thick syrupy vibe. The drydown is even more amazing. once the heavy gourmand notes settle the rose and neroli start to freshen it up. The olibanum en wood notes calms everything down to a well blended gourmand that surprised me in the drydown
I have to say I was not the biggest fan of Keiko Mecheri, but I’m impressed by her latest Les Merveilles creations. Grand Soiree is already the big winner for me, but also Lunea will be a full bottle soon.

Keiko has a tendency to crank out these el cheapos. The results never surprises me. Here I am again, face to face with a gourmand that I should like but i don’t. This smells of cheap sweets, immaturity and Rue21. This is a floral Skor candy bar laced with a sickening glow of maple like toffee. I find the orange note in the background to be somewhat interesting but it doesn’t save this fragrance from being a tire fire..

Lunea by Keiko Mecheri
It opens with a sweet orange, like sugar coated orange peels, it slowly makes a transition to an incensey rose. The orange lingers, underneath the rose. The rose begins to build becoming a tad bit heavier. The sweet toffee note begins to come through, it feels like lightly burnt toffee/caramel. The rose blends with the toffee accord and I also sense a bit of soft woodiness. The orange from the top note is subtle. Toffee is gorgeous, heavy and dominates on my skin.
