It is an absolute shock to realize that this fragrance is supposed to be spicy…I would never have known. I thought that the subtle non-rose notes were maybe leather and powder or something that is supposed to smell like a Victorian parlor with roses filling it. I love this fragrance as a layering scent. It works with deeper, darker scents very well.
