Description
The Body Shop is launching a collection of three limited edition perfect for the upcoming summer.
Three famous perfumers worked on the collection, to depict the scents of summer: Dominique Ropion, Loc Dong and Domitille Bertier. The new fragrances are actually new versions of Love Etc…™, Dreams Unlimited™ and White Musk®, but this time with a juicier, more energizing and more tropical touch.
Love Etc…™ Sun Kiss is presented as a fruity blend of cheeky florals. This exciting and juicy fragrance is composed of bergamot, nectarine, neroli jasmine, sandalwood and amber. Color of flacon is pink-orange. The perfumer, Dominique Ropion, combined nectarine and solar accords.
Sun Fresh and Sun Kiss have been available as 50 ml EDT and 250 ml body spray (body puree), while Sun Glow has been available as 60 ml EDT and 250 ml body spray since April 2012.

The smell tend to cloy over after an hour and turns sour upon 3-4 hours wearing. Is it just me? I don’t know. Passed this to my sister and she love it.

Smells like vintage ’80’s suntan lotion. Instantly takes me back to my childhood. Summers at the cottage, sand, mosquitos, bonfires, calamine lotion… I wear it in the summer and sniff it in the winter to help get me through Canadian winters. Definitely on the cheap and cheerful side of my perfume collection, but nonetheless enjoyable.

Most of all I feel the nectarine and bergamot notes in this fragrance. Not light, but rather not heavy. It reminds me typical quality by Avon’s fragrances. Unpleasantly sour(

If summer was a woman, and she is calm and beautiful, she would smell exactly like Love Etc. Sun Kiss. Wow, upon first spray, a beautiful burst of nectarine, bergamot and jasmine blended beautifully. And it just goes on and on and on smelling beautiful. I have 3 bottles of this and 2 body lotions… I cannot tell you how pleasant and simple, yet sexy and sweet this is. This is not girlish, this is elegance for summer.

I just got this fragrance yesterday. If it were not a limited edition by Dominique Ropion, I would not get it, since I can get a bottle of 30 ml Parfum de Nicolai at the same price. Too bad PdN is rare here.
Love Etc… opens with a citrus and fruity blast. The bergamot is mixed very well with nectarine so it is not sharp, just sour and sweet. Opening is very pleasant, but quite the typical fruity summer fragrance.
Then the face of Love Etc… shows up. The heavy vanilla and spices come, even though it is not listed on the pyramid. It resembles the old Love Etc very much, I could only detect a little citrus. It also reminds me of Burberry Woman.
Longevity is moderate, sillage is quite small.

When I first use this one, it was sweet with a touch of sharp tangy scent. It really gave the feeling of bright summer sun to me — very fresh. But now, it become somewhat sour for a few hours after I sprayed it. Strangely, I’m intoxicated by it. The sourness gradually subsides and becomes a little bit sweeter, though (approximately like the smell of orange juice). The dry down is pretty much the same from the first time I use this and now: warm and a little bit powdery. Overall, a pretty scent (YMMV, though) with soft sillage (which is my preference) and good longevity (lasts around 7 hours on me).

I really regret not buying this, I don’t know why I didn’t. I is a very pretty summery fragrance. If they bought it out next summer I’d definitely get it!

Dropped in at The Body Shop today. Haven’t really been paying attention to their fragrances, but tried a few today.
This one was really nice. It’s not something i’d usually pick (fruity florals usually turn sour and screechy on me), but as we’re having (probably the last) warm days of the summer here, this seemed like the perfect choice. I can smell the juicy nectarine and neroli in the opening.
The jasmin doesn’t stand out too much, which is good, it tends to be a note i have trouble with. The opening is very fresh and fruity, then it turns sweeter. The sweetness is just right for warm weather, not too sweet.
The drydown is warm amber on me. This might actually work in colder weather too, because of the amber.
I was surprised to see that this was a Ropion creation! Makes sense though, it’s a very well balanced fragrance.
Sillage is good for the first hour or so, then it’s close to the skin. Longevity is good for an EdT (and in warm weather), about 4-5 hours.

I expected so much from Ropion, and the opening of this fragrance did not deliver. This fragrance kept fresh all day by the pool, and in the afternoon the warmth of the sun developed a fragrance that is special and sweet.

This scent is alright. It’s fruity and inoffensive, even summery but isn’t a must have.

I really really liked this scent! I could mainly smell nectarine and powdery notes. It was really fruity-fresh. It’s the sort of thing I would wear everyday in the summer. 🙂

Dominique Ropion at the Body Shop? yes please, I’m going to try that out!
First spray is very fruity, I don’t really smell any sharpness from the bergamot, which is a shame. The nectarine is the strongest note. it does smell fruity and sunny and is very nice indeed. I don’t really get any sandalwood, which I would have liked.
It’s not really the sort of thing that I go for & I won’t be buying any. I think it will be popular as it’s really very pleasant. It’s just not really my style.
I trotted off & bought a Ropion classic, Safari, instead.
