Dupe of vintage Lapidus Pour Homme all the way! In fact, I would choose to wear ‘Lord’ over the recent (and, sadly, very weakened) reformulation of LPH… But compared to the vintage LPH, Lord does differ (as another reviewer stated) in the lower heart and base- though of note it does contain oakmoss which is sorely lacking in modern LPH.
On a side-note: Kouros *is* similar to LPH (and therefore, ‘Lord’), but sweeter… more floral, more animalic, more amber, less lavender, less patch.

this is the only rehab fragrance that i liked from the ones that i’ve tried so far. And i agree with everything sam idh said. And everyone else who didn’t like you either sprayed more than one spray or you’re not into kouros and lapidus

Never smelled Kouros Cologne Sport Eau d’Ete Summer Fragrance so I can’t comment on the similarity, but I can say this doesn’t smell like the original Kouros.

I got the EDP version of this fragrance. The opening is very soapy and flowery, reminds me of fragrances back in the 80’s and 90’s but the dry down is woody i can describe it as the scent of ginger mixed with soil. Performance wise it’s beastly so do wear with caution, in conclusion not my cup of tea.

I tried wearing this several times on days at home. I could not find a way to enjoy it. It is harsh. It is powerful, but not good. It smelled like an old cedar chest full of spoiled food.
I like some al-Rehabs, but not this one.

Absolute love and respect to this fragrance, it sets the standards and gives perfume lovers who are still looking for amazing performance longevity and projection something to wear when they are missing, god rest their souls, powerhouse fragrances of the past (in this case Vintage King Kouros) that are now sadly no longer with us in this modern day and age of reformulated water polluting the fragrance market.
Yes folks some of us out here actually still want beastmode fragrances to offend and invade the nostrils of innocent bystanders just because we can….

I never ever ever want to put this on my skin again. It’s what I imagine the devils breath smells like. Animalistic and brutal. It’s like kouros on too many steroids. I’m currently locked out of my house, ands it’s all I can smell. May god have mercy on me.

If you buy it one drop is enough .
    Thank you.

Very potent with great longevity and silage. It’s like Ted Lapidus P.H. but more herbal. Smells synthetic, however but Lord is excellent value. Don’t use much.

Soapy Kouros. Very strong, use sparingly!

Kouros meets powdered detergent. I can’t remember if it was powdered dish soap or laundry detergent but this smells like a blue powdered detergent my mom would use. Every time I sniff this that is all I picture. There is an unnerving sour, powdery note here that makes me want to scream and run away from the bottle. Overall this makes me feel a bit nauseous and I don’t see myself using this artificial mess.

The best of kouros vintage & Lapidus vintage without the risk of sour vintage ingredients from old bottles costing mega £££ . Natural ingredients lacking but end product unbeatable .
& this goes for every Al rehab I’ve tried

smells like, tuscany and azzaro pour homme, for the older gentlemen, not my style

This oil last extremely long on my skin. At least 12 hours, and is a definite compliment getter…

When did I spray this? Around 10 last night it’s now 2 the next day and a shower later and my wrist is still smelling woody. Before the wood kicked in this smelled like what I can only assume are resins. Having never smelled resins I’m saying they smell a combination of dirty and sweet. I’ve never smelled Kouros or Lapidus but I like this so I guess I’ll add them to my hit list.

The opening is just unbearable, and the opening lasts for 24h. But after that, it is a very nice clean woody soapy scent. So I can spray this on a shirt I want to wear one day later.

I would suggest to rename “Lord” on “Whattheheck”. I have 50 ml spray one, almost gone down bottom line, working as a bathroom spray during a year. It has this right appropriate starter of clean Domestos notes, then goes deeply-spicy and animalic as basso-profondo, and has unexpetably nice relaxed drydown. Trust me, I would never advice anyone to wear it on skin or on clothes but..I am going to buy second bottle for my bathroom, as its kinda addictive harsh-little-weirdo.

An obvious attempt to copy Lapidus PH (have a look at the packaging).
Given how complex LPH is this is a difficult task and Al Rehab predictably falls short. It does succeed in copying the opening and maybe a part of the heart but fails on the drydown.
The opening is very reminiscent of LPH, they nail the dusty/sticky pineapple feel. This lasts a very long time and I think this will please a lot of users. As the scent gradually starts to drydown there is a mustiness that creeps in and creates a warm feel. This is a complete departure from LPH’s drydown. Longevity is great and I find the sillage is moderate.
All in all Lord is not a complete disaster but it does not compare to Al-Rehab’s other gems… Aseel, Silver, Dakar and Sultan to name a few.
    Scent : 13/20
    Longevity : 8/10
    Projection : 6/10
    Total : 6.75/10 … Not my favourite Al-Rehab.

I have a EDP version of it. Don’t know why but the top notes remind me of a frangrance my father used which gave me a headache when I oversprayed it.
The drydown however is gentle but it’s not a frag that I’ll buy again.
I’ll try the CPO version of it very soon.
    Remember spray it lightly

Great review, Labaloo! You gave us an excellent olfactory mental picture. Sounds like a potentially unisex one, although I think with the name it’s technically being marketed to the menfolk. I am slowly becoming acquainted with Al-Rehab scents myself and will definitely be buying several new oils to try (and maybe layer) during the colder months.
As with most Al-Rehabs, it sounds like this one is a projection beast. But frankly I’m tired of fragrances that turn into skin scents after an hour. So I’m more than ready for a change of pace. Bring on the oils!

It’s kind of like… Halston 1-12- a very “clean” soapy green aromatic fougere. It starts off with a strong, citrus and aldehyde blast… but this settles noticeably after 20 minutes. Strong lavender heart emerges and takes dominance beautifully. Touch of clary sage. Ultra-pale florals (carnation, rose, olive blossom) and spices. I don’t smell patchouli at all in the base: I sense orris, tonka/coumarin, oakmoss, touch of labdanum to add warmth, musk, sandalwood. Very “western” fragrance that smacks of some of the finest men’s vintages from the 60’s-70’s.
    I like it. Apply lightly!

This fragance is sharp as hell! Good Lord! It’s like a combo of Kouros and Lapidus Pour Homme. Lapidus for the first couple hours and then Kouros. It lasts way too long on my skin. I showered and the next day it was still on me. Wow uh go away please? It isn’t a nice scent it’s harsh and abrassive and stays that way. Don’t get in on your clothing because it will stay on for days and days. I would have a hard time wearing this outside of the house, hell I have a hard time figuring out where I would where this even in the house. If you like Lapidus Pour Homme and Kouros sprayed on the same arm then you would like this oil.

Got the roll-on oil of this.
It is quite green and fresh. Initially a slight bitterness and then it gets warmer, smoother and sweeter with some floral notes.
Strong, fresh, green and bright with some sweetness.
Vaguely reminded me of Giorgio Beverly Hills’ “Giorgio” at points but I am NOT suggesting they smell the same.
With a few short strokes of the roller it was strong on my skin for 6-9 hours. Good projection for 6-8 hours and persists as a skin scent for 10-12 or more hours.
