I’m surprised I never wrote a review for this. After my abysmal experience with Bollywood or Bust, I figured Smell Bent was not my kind of shop. I tested this out, in oil form, because I got a sample with my order. It actually smelled quite wonderful! Strong sweet citrus with a very green note. Very refreshing. Not sour–I am sensitive to tartness in perfumes, but this is not bothersome at all. Makes me want to sample more from this house. If you love citrus, Lobster Cellphone is a must.

This smelled Schweppe’s Grape Soda on me. Not something I felt comfortable wearing, so I sold it to a colleague who liked it very much. Win win situation 🙂

Lobster Cellphone is quite true to the notes listed here.
It starts with a burst of citrusy notes with sugar sweetness, which gives me a similar feeling to peeling a mandarin. Soon there’s a peculiar tomato note coming in, dancing around, which gives the whole perfume a nice, slightly earth and green hint, just like the steam of a truss tomato.
Later on, the sugar sweet citrusy smell fades, and the tomato green leafy smell and the citrusy sweetness become more and more dominant. It is quite refreshing, and naturally charming.
Lobster Cellphone is a wonderful green-leafy-citrusy/upgraded-bitter-lemon perfume to use if you want some aroma therapy feelings when you want to concentrate, I do like it. However, been too much a essential oil type of perfume, I don’t find Lobster Cellphone attractive enough to distinguish itself from some essential oil blends you can make at home.

Right out of the vial, it’s true-to-life, spit-in-your-eye grapefruit with a sprinkle of sugar. Less than two hours later, there’s practically nothing except a faint wisp of something sweetish. I just reapplied, so we’ll see. But if that’s the entire show, it’s not for me. I’m not enough of a grapefruit enthusiast to keep dabbing this on myself.
EDIT: This time it dried down a little bit greener, and a little spicy, but it’s still not particularly interesting after the grapefruit burns off. I have a slight sensation of wax as well, like from a candle or some crayons sitting nearby.
