    Revieiw of the “economic bottle”
    High quality, lovely!
Smells just like christmas to me and it is very very similar to Kenzo Jungle but with a twist of cola as smellagent said (LC is a bit airier as well)
Very highly recommended! Like Kenzo Jungle but not that heavy! Longevity is around 8 hours on me and the sillage is good. 🙂

I get that sweet smell right of the bat. At first on me it is like the sticky residue of a natural cola. I love this. I get Wormwood a lot of lavender and cloves and syrupy orange. Sillage is moderate and longevity is an average 6 or 7 hours on me.

The first 5 minutes for me are mostly strong bergamot, with a light undergrowth of lavender. I was surprised to get the immediate impression of this as a citrus scent. Then, as strongly as it opened, the bergamot note then disappears completely, while the wormwood and vetiver come in for the middle notes. The tiniest trace of incense is there as well. These combine with the lingering lavender to create a faint, ghostly leather note. And that’s pretty much it. No trace of the opening citrus, and no sign at all of the rumored praline, patchouli, or tonka bean. This is very dry and completely unsweetened. Within 45 minutes, it had nearly disappeared on my skin.
My sample is at least 3 years old, from Aedes, so I don’t know if Liquid Crystal was recently reformulated, or not, but it’s not what I expected from its name or published notes. It’s not terrible – rather fresh and dry, almost cologne-like – but not at all what I was hoping it would be.

old fashioned perfume ate some candy
    lets face it-
most of us have those sweet teeth-
this seems that it might just be the one to knock on mine- As much as I can deny or refuse to fortunetell myself scented in candy like clouds-i get this on and all speculation and rules cease to apply.
This scent actually does smell quite like fruit striped gum.
I did also love this gum when i was a kid, (kind of obsessed) maybe even then had hoped to wrap myself in that smell one day-
So i say i can say most days, ‘no’! i dont wish to smell like candies
but i have this on all day(8+ hrs), and have had my arms up to my face most of that time
trying to talk myself out of love for this
it also does happen to have a lovely, somewhat old world charm with a sweetly demure composure/delivery similar to what i found ‘the infidels’ (also by agonist) to have-
This scent holds onto me for dear life, alternating very subtly between the candied lavander, herbal, incensy animalic and candy candy like a merry go round–
and im like -yay with a lolipop!!
    sometimes its the little things…
*i got this sample years ago, so i have no idea if its the same formula they still make-i hope so 😮

This reminds me of a bubblegum I used to know. Fruit Stripe, anyone?
This starts off herbal and spicy, then takes on a surprising sweetness. Combined, it all adds up to that smell that wafts up from the racks beneath the check out counter at a gas station. Or maybe it’s the smell of a hippie chewing Mentos in an incense shop. Whatever it is, tis not for me.

I had a sample from the discovery set that I bought from another collector, and I tried all the agonist scents out, and this is what I got out of Liquid Crystal.
It comes of to me as a more feminine scent rather than a masculine. I get a citrusy flowery mix -Like an artificial flavour for a lemon flavoured lollipop. I also get the smokey note similar to incense cones og sticks. Then with the drydown it turns into a more creamy melange with a candylike feeling.
It is a very special scent that to me smells quite bittersweet (do not like those ones. After a second tryout a think that it resembled cheap airfrechener og toilet cleaning fluid.
Not impressed at all -especially considering the price.
    Overall Rating: 4/10

Sooooo much lavender. If you are a lavender lover you will probably appreciate this. I smell a small amount of cloves and vetiver hiding underneath the thick blanket of lavender. The cloves come more to the surface with time, as well as labdanum peeking its head out. The cloves and labdanum blend is really beautiful. I get a tiny, tiny amount of wormwood [which is why I wanted to try this perfume!], but it is strongly overpowered by the cedar on my skin. There is a strange dirty diaper smell that starts to come out at the drydown, and it becomes distinctly masculine. This frag is a huge disappointment to me. I will stick with my Profumum Aquae Nobilis.

Intoxicating, beautiful perfume, complex and aromatic opening, powdery soft drydown, better suits women, average longevity, but what is going on with that bottle? Looks like a whole natural museum on display there.

Less unisex, and more feminine. After 20 minutes of interesting complexity, smells like hot tamale extract. Wouldn’t want to smell this on anyone, and I’m just glad I sampled first.

Let’s go by parts: the 1st thing that will happen is that you’ll encounter a piece of art in a shape of a bottle. Honestly, I think that if the perfume was bad, it doesn’t disappoint too much, since its exterior worth. Then, it comes the 2nd part, the cologne, which completes this creation – rich – in every aspect.
The outgoing it is not easy, since it has a weird note of wormwood, which applied with sicilian orange, bergamot and cloves, gave me for hours, a sensation of something sour. And this outgoing phase lasts for more than 3 hours, during its evolution, when the aroma starts to settle down and its refined creaminess begins to stay linear and owner of the situation. Then, it become easier to notice the presence of incense and patchouli in the heart. The base is delicious, semi-gourmand, with a precious juice of white amber and tonka beans, well mixed with the labdanum, vetiver and cedar.
The projection is superb during 2 hours. It is not a matter of “taking care” with the number of sprays, because the aroma is strong either way. I would say that it is a matter of having the right behaviour in order to sustain – safely – looks unrelated (either of condemnation or admiration).
The lasting is excellent! The perfume exuded for more than 8 hours on my skin. And any scent that projects and exudes for hours, without loosing its consistence, deserves my respect.

Unfortunately, since it was launched the economic line, they have been reformulated. In the first version they were prototypes.
Have been cleaned. No more indole.
Liquid Crystal no longer has the cumin and bergamot.
    The concentration was diluited.
They were beautiful. And now there are only a blurry photograph.

I picked up a sample of this and just put it on this morning. My experience of the notes is quite a bit different from what I’m reading here to the point where I thought maybe the sample had been mixed up with something.
For me, the lavender was buried under the bergamot–which, like many bergamot scents, hit my nose like sweet sherbet. The overall fragrance was smoothed out a little by tonka bean (surprise! fragrantica has the notes listed incorrectly), but that was pretty much all I got from it. It wasn’t bad by any means–actually quite nice–but it was pretty much all bergamot.
But here’s the kicker: it was gone from my skin within two hours. For the price, I’d expect both a more nuanced juice and better longevity. With that said, it’s pleasant — but needs more work.

I wanted to try this just because of its captivating collectors bottle. The notes sounded so inviting, however smelling it for the first time, I was a bit befuddled, but not too much so. I was expecting something a bit more dense, luminosity through the thickness of crystal glass. But what emerged was at first the sparkle of lavender with somewhat aromatic notes, fresh and soapy with a lighthanded touch of that old world flair of an eau de cologne with an animalic note lurking beneath, giving it that instant magnetic allure I so love in French perfumes. After a while, it does warm up a little, and I do get caught up and enraptured by its comfortable yet unexpected sensual smell.
It also has a little of that hippie oil apothecary vibe towards the beginning of the scent, but it does develop and come together so well later on.
If you plan on buying this, I give you fair warning that it is terribly fleeting on skin for an eau de parfum. It makes me wonder if most, if not all the scent consists of natural raw materials. I found the journey of the development of the scent was pure ecstasy when sprayed on clothing and allowing it to develop slowly and sensually. A definite must try, guys!

This truly is a unique fragrance for the adventure seeker! Upon application the lavander and bergamot are very up front, a lovely, clean, natural lavendar, followed up by a fresh, bracing herbal wash that gives almost a sensation of coolness. The praline note is very quiet. It stays in the background and sings with the immortelle to provide a slight underlying sweetness, with a touch of floral and light spice, that keep the composition from becoming too dry and herbal, which to me would place it in the category of mediocrity, despite the art pieces it comes in. After about 20 minuites have passed, the only change is just a touch more sweetness, as the herbal players and dry vetiver are still going strong. Such a well crafted balance, this truly is a masterful fragrance! Being at first skeptical, i wanted to know if the fragrance is as special as the vessel, and indeed it is. It just gets better. There is a little of the vanillic soft and lightness of Creeds, Sublime Vanille here, but i would expect no less for this price range. This is not for everyone, but a wonderful olfactory experience nonetheless. Sadly, i am smitten, and will use my sample to the last drop, and perhaps purchase a decant while i admire the beautiful flacon from afar!

    Another scent-crush! *swoon*
Having just sampled the handsome Baume du Doge I was suprised to find his sister, nestling on my other wrist. To find two stars in one day is a rare treat!
Liquid Crystal is like Baume’s sweeter, softer, more huggable younger sister. Although they are not very much alike in notes, the overall feel & “flavour” is shared.
Whenever I walk past a lavender bush I always crush some leaves or flowers in my hand – heavenly! But, with perfumes, lavender can come in two forms: natural, pungent, high-thin, volatile & astringent; or warm, happy, flowery, imaginary English cottage garden. I truly dislike the latter lavender – luckily LC has the former.
Beneath the lavender-bergamot veil is a heart of warm, dry woods peppered with sweet & cosy edible delights & a spicey clove kick. Nothing too shouty or off-kilter here…very harmonious…raw woods with shamphered edges….a light powdery touch. Resins & amber, dry herbal notes, vettyver & pencil shavings…a very distant mild minty toothpaste….tonka & imortalle. This mid-stage is divine & lasts for HOURS *sigh*. In the dry-down I experience the familiar, warm-winter hug I crave in 114. This is bliss!
A lot of my favourite fragrances are deep, rich powerhouses that could pile on the calories with one sniff. LC looks like a 5000 calorie fatty but wears like a mid-weight, healthy treat. No nausia or sugar highs.
If there could be a catagory for thin, weightless, low-calorie, high quality woodsy-ambers with a quirky twist & a lot to say then LC would probably wear the crown. It is like meeting a very plain, fragile-looking girl only to find she purrs like Eartha Kitt & sings like Tarja Turunen.
The bottle looks incredible, too. True artistry. Bye-bye money….

This fragrance puts me in mind of a rich incense, say Nag Champa. Better yet, ever tried Comme des Garcons Series Luxe: Incense Champa? Yes. Quite.
Now,imagine a meadow full of blossoming lavender surrounded by fresh mown hay while the scent of fragrant wood is being chopped nearby. This is mainly that scent. The bergamont is barely introduced in the beginning before it is brushed aside by the lavender/woody notes. An astounding likeness to guaiac wood. Just a hint of sweetness tempered by oregeno rounds out this astounding scent making it worthy of the bottle that holds it. Wears close to the skin and silliage appears to be about 5 hours before I felt the need to reapply. Mind you I only applied a few drops to each wrist area and behind each ear. Lovely, just lovely. Can’t wait to try
    ‘The Infidels’.
