L’interdit is one of those perfumes that, although I like it, I would not buy it. Let me explain … the perfume smells really good, has an exquisite, delicate and elegant unisex fragrance, which would be the delight of many users of Fragrantica.com, but, despite that, it leans a bit towards the feminine, it is not nothing important, but I do not know why, I get annoyed in this perfume, and that I have worn unisex perfumes in the same tessitura without problems, but I do not enjoy it enough to dress it assiduously. It will be silly, but it conditions me unconsciously.
At the moment of spraying the fragrance, there are a few seconds of floral freshness, sweet and fresh, beautiful, but it is momentary, it immediately passes, and reveals a very distinguished French toilet aroma, a powdery, elegant and sober fragrance, a mixture of rose and muguet on a spicy sandalwood background, which evokes luxury and refinement. Then, the floral scent is diluted a little, feeling much more spicy, and the background becomes a little warmer, adding slight leathery nuances, which more than leather, could be a velvety suede note, quite pretty and elegant. This drying is a warm, dry, spicy and ethereal floral aroma, it is fresh and spicy in equal parts, with a good dose of ambroxan, which, in my opinion, ends up loading the perfume making it a bit more generic, and more than a Oriental floral, I see it as a Spicy Floral and subtly woody.
The aroma is unisex and perfectly wearable by a man, although it is true that it tends a little towards the feminine, it is not important, but there it is. It reminds me of many vintage feminine perfumes, which today are no longer feminine because of current trends, but what is clear is that, if this had happened 50 decades ago, it would have been feminine without a doubt.
The performance is good, skin remains good 6 or 7 hours, with a moderate wake, it is nothing spectacular, but it is not an expensive perfume to be a niche, so we do not have to be so hard with it. I applied it without the spray of an echantillon, and I suppose that with a sprayer this performance could be something superior, I do not know, but it should also be taken into account.
A good proposal for cool and temperate climates, and to dress it, indifferently, both day and night, is a versatile and elegant aroma, which could be a good candidate for use in offices or work environments in general.
As I said before, to me, it has not finished convincing me, even though I like it olfactory, but it could be because I feel it like a vintage feminine perfume, and that, involuntarily, conditions me and makes me not Take it easy, and it’s weird, because I’ve used perfumes like Youth Dew, Tabu, Opium and Shalimar with ease, anyway, I can not deny its beauty, and in a woman it has to be a show of fragrance, but I would not recommend it for a man, without a previous test.
Sorry for my bad english.
