This is a supergreen. Like a genetically modified version of a green perfume to make it stronger, more powerful, and longer lasting.
This is the duracell bunny of perfumes.
It also doesn’t see the need to die down or fade, so at first it seems quite linear.
I would wear this very rarely, when I wanted to spin heads, or lure a fellow who had a poor sense of smell.
I do love power perfumes, so this is on my like list.

Those who thought that the times of heavy perfumes are over are proven wrong by Prairie’s Life Threads line. In times when even Opium and Obsession appear to be light, the perfumes from this range stand in line to defend unashamed, plain, heavy loaded and perhaps even offensive femineity.
This one is no exception and goes to show what an intense experience perfumes can be. I prefer the slutty Ruby as well as the glamourous Gold variants over this one, which I consider less original and a bit too similar to Midnight Poison. Nevertheless, as the others, this one’s deep and sensual and certainly not for everyone.

It is a nice perfume, however, not very typical. So if you are searching for a subtile, fresh and natural perfume, this one might be the one you are looking for.

I’ve tried all series, but none of them gave me an impression of a suitable perfume for me, since I don’t like to wear fragrances that hit on your nose and underline the issue that you are a superlux, superconfident, superexpensive stubborn lady. I still prefer La Praire Cellular Energising Body Spray from the house; not being a perfume but an aromatic body spray, it has a wonderfull floral woody scent, it doesn’t put a fist into your nose, and longevity and projection are satisfactory.

Another could-have-been-made-in-the-eighties La Prairie launch in the spirit of LIFE THREADS GOLD, EMERALD manages to roll several usually separate themes into a single perfume, and all of them are accorded equal importance. Big floral, dense oriental, dark chypre: they’re all here in one powerful little package. Why there’s even a classic soapy drydown! Huge sillage and the excellent longevity characteristic of this house make this a no-holds-barred perfume. Can you take it?
If you like EMERALD, the good news is that your small 50ml bottle will last a *very* long time. This stuff really is perfume! Definitely not for the faint of heart–or nostrils. If your idea of an appropriately concentrated fragrance is exemplified by the offerings of the house of L’Artisan Parfumeur, you’ll want to stay *very* far away.
I do know a few ladies around these parts who could probably pull this off and would don EMERALD proudly in brash defiance of the perfume police! Application advisory: think Dior POISON.
