After a long quest I succeeded in grabbing a bottle of what seems to be a vintage version of this fragrance, as it comes in a different (blue) bottle.
Well, I am not sure if it may have turned, as I do not have any other specimen to make a comparison, but if the name were not “Mimosa” I would not have guessed it was a mimosa fragrance.
I smell a dense concoction of many flowers, especially ylang-ylang, which, unfortunately, smells a bit like urine to me, when in high concentration. Some mimosa is also there, but it smells like it is past its best, when the little flowers start becoming dry, not like the fresh, fuzzy flowers, stilly dewy, I was hoping to get.
I am not saying this smells bad, but it smells more like a toilet freshener than a perfume I would wear.
    How sad.

(Vintage EdT). This is lovely, but mimosa? No, a huge wallop of Heliotrope is what I get.
Btw, Frederic Malles Un Fleur de Cassie is the best Cassie/mimosa scent I tested, so far. Ufdc, however is quite animalistic. I would have liked to have a softer mimosa as well. But this Molinard creation is not it. As I said, it should have been named Heliotrope instead.

Molinard Mimosa in its vintage form is beautiful, even if it’s not the best representation of mimosa. I’m sad to hear that the current formula pales in comparison.
It’s surprisingly powdery with a subtle hint of lemon. The heliotrope and iris appear to be the most dominant floral notes on my skin. Molinard Mimosa overall is fairly powdery, green and crisp. It’s comforting in lots of ways too, like baby powder.
I have tested many mimosa based fragrances, but unfortunately I still haven’t found what I’m looking for. The scent of wattle tree blossoms during Spring is what I’m seeking, if only there was a fragrance that smelt actually like it. Molinard Mimosa is sadly not it, but I appreciate it for its fresh powdery-ness.
Despite being a soft fragrance, Molinard Mimosa lasts surprisingly well on my skin. In that regard, I’m saddened to hear that Molinard no longer sells this. It is a fabulous fragrance for Spring and Summer wear.
My search for the perfect mimosa fragrance continues, but in the meantime I will enjoy my sample of this little gem.

Mimosa is my favourite flower, and every year in Feb/March I fill my house with bouquets of mimosas so I can “intoxicate” myself with their fragrance and delicate blooms.
I bought Mimosa of Molinard hoping to be able to smell those lovely flowers the whole year round, but at least to my nose, the faint smell of the mimosa is completely overpowered by some dreadfully loud greenish or flowery note and to me the perfume ends up smelling like toilet freshener.
I’d love it if the Molinard people would reformulate the perfume and make it a gentler, more woody and slightly powdery smell, like the mimosa itself.

Molinard’s Mimosa is crisp like a brisk March wind and green like first buds on the trees. I think about this scent as a bouquet of mimosa outside on a cold day of spring. The woody and green notes overpower the sweet sunny mimosa at first but then the scent settles into a slightly sweet woody base. There is a vintage feel to the fragrance, which I do not mind at all.
I smell the woody and green notes at first. The mimosa note shyly peaks through the strong green notes. Mimosa is only slightly sweet in the heart notes balanced by a layer of ylang-ylang and sandalwood. In the base, the iris note becomes more noticeable bringing slight powdery touch to the scent. Mimosa scent becomes slightly sweeter and more prominent towards the base too. The scent has average sillage and longevity. The dry down is very light on my skin.
I do prefer my mimosa scents tender and natural with a gentle sunny sweetness like in Mimosa pour Moi.
Molinard’s Mimosa has a brisk sharpness to it that at times I find to be too much for my tastes. But if you like green, vintage type scents, perhaps you will find this mimosa interpretation worthy of your attention. Overall score is 6/10.

It comes in original sealed bottle and you can smell the sweet mimosa from the bottle! Now I am waiting with the first spray, because I have a lot of others fragrances, which should be used and do not want to break the seal on it not to get it worse. What I can smell from the top of never used bottle is sweet, intoxicating mimosa without green notes. Much better than Loccitane sweet and lemony mimosa juice.
11/10/22 Today I sprayed it lot. I love the pure smell of intoxicating mimosa! AAAAHhhhh!
This is every morning fragrance. Unfortunatelly, even if it was not cheap, the longevity is poor, about 2 hours max., and the sillage about 20 minutes.
Now I am walking through the world with this bottle on my hand
and spray it every hour. I´m getting to order more from this parfumery house.
