Description

Nina Ricci annually launches a new version, a limited edition of the original Nina from 2006. The edition for 2015 is called Les Délices de Nina, inspired by strawberry candy.

Perfumers Marie Salamagne and Olivier Cresp collaborated on the creation of this new, fresh, fruity and sweet composition. The fragrance opens with fresh notes of mandarin and lemon leading to the core—a combination of mara strawberry and white caramel. All of this is laid on the soft base of raspberry extract, praline and white musk.

The iconic apple-shaped bottle comes in a soft pink bubble gum color, covered in melting golden color that symbolizes caramel. The fragrance is available as 50 and 75 ml Eau de Toilette.

My first blind buy fragrance and boy did I instantly regret it! This smells like strawberry scented Glade air freshener you sprayed in the restroom after taking a dump. Judge a book by its cover – this scent is as garish and gaudy as the packaging suggests.

The most terrible perfume I ever tried. The cheap smell, there are no notes, lasts forever and makes my stomack to cross over…

I bought this for my friend as a christmas present. It was a shot in the dark, I just knew she liked fruity perfumes. Fortunately she loves it and wears it everyday, it’s quickly become her signature and her boyfriend loves it as well.
The scent is super sweet and comforting but still fresh, the citrus comes through. I have a hard time distinguishing the notes but from what I can tell it’s true to the pyramid on here, strawberry and caramel is strong. It’s a very comforting scent and just wraps you with warmth. Great sillage on my friend.

Ok, fourth Nina Ricci fragrance received and tested so here are my final thoughts: I find a common underlying cheap dollar store strong perfume scent in all of the Ricci perfumes. This is supposed to be a strawberry gourmand?! Smells like something I would find at Dollar Tree. Just bad. Burns my nose bad. Makes puppy sneeze bad. Not worth a buck bad. There are so many other gourmands on the market, cheap celebrity gourmands, that are so much lovelier than Nina, Luna, Tentation and Delices. I’ll be keeping the cute bottles on my dresser for looks but the juices are horrifyingly cheap, cloying and highly disappointing. Headache came on a minute after spraying. Just yuck.

Well, Tentation is another disappointment, let’s pray les delices is a winner. Come on Nina Ricci! That’s three fragrances I hate!

I really wanted to love this perfume as I just recently got my first Nina Ricci (Luna Blossom) and it’s become a favorite. So I really thought this would be another to add to my top shelf. Instead its gone under the sink and I can’t really pin down why, except maybe to say that the lemon and caramel don’t blend well for me and that it comes off almost too syrupy, which is crazy talk because I adore those mainstream sweet candy, fruity floral perfumes. Which is why I really thought this would be a winner for me. I got the original Nina as well and it also is now under the sink. Which again, very surprising because I’ve read many reviews that said the Luna Blossom and the original Nina were very similar but not to me, not at all. Very sad about this. I’m hoping that maybe when it warms up it’ll smell differently on me or my tastes will change enough over time for me to grow to love this. Which puts me in quite a predicament as I thought it would be a great Christmas gift for my 13 year old niece. What to do? Give up and gift it? Or hang on in the hopes of growing to love it?

I love this caramel dipped strawberry fragrance and I wear it in the winter time. It’s like being in a candy factory for me. It’s not a statement or a sexy perfume, but it’s a “feel-good” fragrance. The bottle is not of high quality, the gold area will become rusty in no time, but I love the apple shape. It is meant to be girly and this is exactly how it is.

Great. Less lemon than in the original. Love it.

I add to confess, I was first seduce by the cute apple bottle. When I was a teenager (in the 70’s), perfume bottles were not so cute… Les délices de Nina is more a teenage/younster perfume than a mature one but it’s nice and well done. Amazingly, for a perfume with a caramel note, it’s not too sweet. Here the caramel is more creamy and milky. When I was reading about this perfume I learned that Nina Ricci has already use an apple shape bottle in the 50’s for Fille d’ève. That bottle was design by Lalique. As a perfume lover and bottle collector I would really like to add the vintage one to my collection.

Yummy! Probably don’t need this and the original Nina but they are both wonderful! Only drawback is that this doesn’t come in an edp.

Love it to bits. Les Delices de Nina is basically the original Nina + strawberry. As a strawberry lover, I enjoy this even more than the regular Nina. The bottle is super cute. p.s. To some degree it reminds me of Givenchy Ange Ou Demon Le Secret.

When I blind bought this after looking at the notes I expected a very creamy scent due to the fact it contains caramel as a predominate note. However, to me, this is very fresh, very clean and I get big, bright red strawberries and a tartness, what must be lemon but this isn’t citrus in the least. then almost instantly it mixes with a gorgeous musk but not a heavy musk, a crisp musk. This effect is just perfect!! The notes state “white” caramel and while i have never heard of this before I can tell it’s different from regular caramel because it’s so light and fresh! To me it’s an all weather scent. It’s great on cold, rainy days and just perfect for spring and summer. I personally get no laundry soap as some reviews have stated. It lasts fairly long for the type it is approx 4-5 hours. Sillage is decent too. I tested it on my daughter and I could easily detect her from across the room, she loved it too!!. Easy to come by online will be purchasing more because now it looks like I’m going to have to share:)

Lovely smell. To me it smells like fresh sunshine mixed with a touch of child-like whimsy. Also smells kind of like fresh laundry but in a good way. The bottle is adorable and beautiful. The lemon note in there is very soft and nicely blended in. The only thing I don’t like about it is that the oriental element is a little too strong. It might smell good to others who can smell it on me when it fades, but for me when I actually sniff it it smells too strong and old ladyish. (The sweetness of this fragrance, however, probably needs an exotic oriental to balance it out and mature it a little so that it is suitable for “grown ups.” I feel that an oriental vibe was the probably most exotic and best choice for this purpose.) But WHERE IS THE STRAWBERRY!?!?!?! I bought this fragrance under the pretenses that it would smell like strawberry candy (mixed with caramel.) I don’t smell the caramel at all but I can smell the strawberry a little bit…not nearly as much as I’d like. Finding a true strawberry fragrance is very difficult and I’ve been trying for years. Even still, this is my go-to fragrance every day, and for every date, concert, or special occasion. Truly one of the most unique fragrances on the market. Kind of smells like what I would envision strawberry shortcake would smell like haha (To me that is a good thing cuz she’s adorabe :P) I’ve gotten compliments on it from people of all ages, even my male teenage cousin. One time I was walking around NYC and I said to myself, “What smells like fresh berries?” then I realized it was me! This was a blind buy and boy did I get lucky. Wear this fragrance if you want to smell cute, fresh, flirty and fun…AND not smell like anyone else (except for the other unique individuals who were smart enough to jump on buying this product as soon as it came out!)

I go this last year and it was my first perfume by Nina Ricci (I own 3 now). I am really sad this is a limited edition because I absolutely adore it! On me, I mostly feel the strawberry, the green apple and the caramel. I don’t really feel the citrus notes. It’s a beautiful warm fragrance that’s not too sweet for my taste. The bottle us absolutely gorgeous and although it requires being cleaned every now and them, most of the time it looks almost as shiny as it was when I just opened it.
I find this perfume really suitable for people in their early 20s who prefer not-in-your-face inoffensive fragrances. It’s also not something I see a lot of people wearing so it makes me feel even happy about owning it. I hope I get the chance to re-purchase it.
    Sillage: moderate
    Longevity: 6-8 hours

Smells like a more youthful version of the original, in any way you can think of. On me, it smells like a musky, green strawberry bon bon with caramel–the musk should definitely be higher on the scent pyramid. The original Nina is gorgeous smells very nice but very astringent on me, so this is an improvement. Honestly when I think about it, this is like a cross between the original Nina and Viktor&Rolf Bon Bon! Very pretty and sparkling scent and bottle. It is nothing really that unique and arguably quite generic, but it’s likeable. Definitely a youthful scent. Smells very true to its creator, Olivier Cresp, who to me is one of the best perfumers today for gourmands.

Adorable bottle but I wish the fragrance was richer and creamier. It just smells like the original but has more lemon and is slightly sweeter. I was hoping for more sticky caramel.

very nice, but this was the last EDT I got, rather buy EDP version of any perfume, at least those last long.

This is such a beatuful girly perfume. Sweet fruity strawberry syrup!! I think this smells like calpol and I LOVE calpol!!

  22. :

Suprisingly, I don’t find this to be very sweet. It opens juicy, with raspberry, apple and citruses to my nose. I detect very little strawberry. The caramel isn’t very dominant, but manages to give it a sweeter, rounder undertone.
It dries down to a rounder, fluffier version of the original, at least in my opinion. Very glad I found a bottle (by the way, how gorgeous is that hot pink, caramel-dipped apple?) of this limited gem.
In short: fluffy. Cute bottle. Yum.

My boyfriend loves this. He told me i smell like a delicious basket of fruit….this is more fruity than floral,..its very juicy and sweet….it reminds me of carried away by bath and body works. I give this 10.10.

Elegant and sweet floral fruity scent! Also, my mum’s signature 🙂 It is a tender fragrance, it seems to smile at you from the corner. Feminine floral notes, backed by warm citrus accords and delicious praline and musk. It is soft and fluffy. And the bottle is uniquely pretty.

Beautiful bottle, beautiful scene, beautiful color, i love everything about her. This could be my favourite from Nina flankers. It is sweet but not cloying like La Tentation de Nina. This one more lemony than the others, but the drydown is sweet like what Nina is all about.

I spray it on when I want to feel fresh and want something that keeps me awake on dark winter mornings. It has a compact sillage, which surprised me but like it, when I went out of my office and went back after 5 minutes I could smell the scent in the room.

  27. :

I waited so long to get this fragrance on my hands. And I have to say, it’s not as sickening sweet as i hoped it to be. I was really hoping that the caramel would be predominate, but oh well. It’s still a quite lovely, sweet fragrance. It’s such a beautiful bottle.
I’m still awaiting for the La Tentation to come in and that’s also supposed to be a delicious gourmand fragrance..
I enjoy this fragrance. It’s very fruity, like a strawberry candy. It’s sweet and fresh like all of the other Nina’s. I’m never let down by their perfumes. Delicious, lovely and absolutely beautiful 🙂

I absolutley agree that this will be too sweet for some people but when I tested this out in the perfume hall of my local department store I knew I had to have it and especially as it’s a limited edition! The first thing that I notice about this *and this will aound all wrong* is that its a fresh sweet, not a sickly sweet, also has lovely citrus notes in too. The bottle is lovely too – a hot pink apple with a golden top! Really glad I got this!

Back in 2009 I ran into this gorgeous perfume called “Love by Nina”, by Nina Ricci. Ended up not buying it and regretting it for years, since it was a limited edition.
After 6 years, I finally get the chance to finally own that perfume – yes, Les Delices smells just like Love by Nina!
It’s sweet, fruity and bubbly. It’s lovely.

OMG! I just received this in a swap today! Holy ca-moly! This stuff is SO yummy! I get the original Nina (which i wish i still had) but with added sweetness! Very happy that I have this in my collection now. 🙂

A generic fresh, and fruity scent. I would´n pay that much for something I can´t even remember after trying on a sample for three days. Nice, yes, but too nice and tame. This is nothing special. Sillage is non-existant and longevity is very short. A fragance for little girls that could be equally happy with a cheaper bottle of Hello Kitty EDT. The sample was accompanied by a little steel apple charm wich I like very much. At least after trying this I have a lovely steel charm in a pink silken cord 😉

I decided on treating myself to a new perfume, and after not-so-careful consideration I bought this blindly instead of getting Black Opium from YSL because I figured it was too heavy for the warm seasons. But I digress.
Les Delices is annoying to spell but it makes up for it by being absolutely lovely. The scent really matches the bottle. It’s fresh and sweet, the opening reminds me of sparkling lemonade and after a while the strawberries pop out. I guess I’m a tiny bit disappointed that the caramel note isn’t as prominent as I thought it would be, and that this scent doesn’t last too long on me (though my sense of smell could be completely wrecked after six months of wearing nothing but super heavy scents).
TL;DR version: Sweet and fresh, recommended for summer, pwetty bottle, not-so-long lasting.
Edit: After wearing it almost daily for a few weeks, I can say that it lasts longer than I thought. Although I stop noticing it after just a few hours I’ve gotten plenty of compliments on my perfume even after an entire day (to which I instinctively reply “I’m not wearing any perfume”, because I have the memory of a goldfish).
I also tried layering this with Bonbon because, dammit, I wanted the caramel to be more prominent, and heureka! It was perfect.

Looks good on paper but this perfume is actually a bit too light for my taste. It’s not powerful, not a statement type of fragrance. the bottle is very pretty and it looks well in my collection. Teenagers might like this one as it reminds me a bit of Escada Magnetism.

Another sweetness bomb from Nina Ricci. I sense delicious gourmand notes and lucious fruity notes. I would have been in love with it, if I wouldn’t have had Nina l’elixir for a long time.
Don’t get me wrong, I think it’s lovely.
I am just too used to this type of scent and I guess I wouldn’t buy another one of these.

I tested it today.I love and have the original apple-Nina and is similar but more weak.I was searching for strawberry and I didn’t find it.But if someone test this before test the actual Nina, maybe will be very pleased, has the same fruitness and the quality as well.

  38. :

it has a musky shampoo note in the opening that’s nice but very generic and then lemon and caramel come through and take over but to me they don’t blend well at all

I just got mine today from France. I agree, it’s not gourmand. In fact, it’s not much different from the original. The bottle is drenched in caramel (adorable, I might add), but where is the caramel in the juice? I’m a gourmand girl, and while it’s not terrible, it is definitely a let down. Another floral fruity. Sigh.

  40. :

The bottle is much prettier on the picture than in real life. The color of the bottle is hot pink and not bubble gum pink like in all the pictures. I just got my bottle today and I like it so far. It is very fruity and sweet, but I’m having trouble sensing the caramel. Maybe it will come in the drydown. Les Delices is in the same vein as La Tentation except La Tentation is a little bit sweeter. I still think this will be great for spring as it’s very refreshing!

  41. :

I’ve been waiting for it for 2 months, and now it has been released in France, I have to say it is not what I expected according to the notes. I’ve tried it, it’s not gourmand, it’s a bit sweet but not in the way I expected. It is light, better for spring and summer. It smells like candies but it is not too sweet. The “golden caramel” on the bottle is nice, it’s original.

    Where are the comments?
I’m curious if this fragrance is sweet, and the caramel and strawberry stand out?

Like bubblegum covered in golden caramel! I can’t wait to have this lovely bottle on my shelf.
