I have both Bal a Versailles and this perfume. It has nothing to do with BAV. It has a really strong scent. It reminds me back in the beggining of the nineties. To me it’s like a vintage shaving cream or after shave cologne. Somehow it smells very old but I can say it can also give an elegant vibe for the person who is enough brave to wear it. Its really musky and green. the longevity is okay the sillage is heavy. It’s really close to Kouros with more citrus…

My dance partner has this fragrance. It used to belong to his older brother who went to all of MJ’s concerts. This was a men’s cologne modeled after Bal a Versailles by Jean Desprez which was Michael Jackson’s favorite cologne and signature scent. This smells very much like Bal. It’s a musky smell very animalic. It’s hard to describe what I smelled. My friend let me smell it. It might have civet, lots of leather and animalic accords like castoreum which give it a very strong musk scent. Smells masculine and very formal. It’s like something to wear for a very special night out or a date. The bottle looks unisex however as it looks like a little mirror or make up kit. The hologram shows MJ smiling at you. Very cute.
