Description
Mont Blanc introduced the Legend fragrance in 2011. The scent quickly became successful and well praised, so the Special Edition version was also launched. In fall 2012, the collection is joined by the women’s edition – Legend Pour Femme.
What kind of women has inspired Mont Blanc? These are the memorable women of classic elegance and natural grace, such as Grace Kelly, Ingrid Bergman, Greta Garbo and Marlene Dietrich. The new fragrance, vivid and intense, is a luxury special for an extraordinary lady – the kind that leaves a strong impression without much makeup on, without a special hair do or striking accessories, relying only on her charisma and confidence.
The composition opens with fresh accords of neroli, bitter orange and pear. The heart is ruled by white flowers: jasmine (from India, known as grandiflorum), lily of the valley (white and green) and orange blossom, while musk, vanilla and fine woods lurk in the background and give the composition powdery character. The perfume is developed by Bernard Ellena and Nathalie Feisthauer.
The elongated design of the bottle is made of curves and angles inspired by the jewelry collection 4810. Available as 30, 50 and 75 ml Eau de Parfum.

i like legend pour femme. a lot. never really given mont blanc a chance until i was in priceline and assisstant asked me if i wanted to try something!!! mostly unheard of in australia. theyre very scabby with free samples here so its not often you get offered a squirt but if you dont try it, you’ll never know unless you buy blind, which is what i did with legend anyway, after being offered lady emblem edp on a card. i loved lady emblem edp and so i searched for it online for a good price and came up with legend for a better price.
legend is a vibrant and sparkling fruity floral. i can smell peach but its not listed. its a delightful, youthful, energising orange and vanilla with jasmine and pear. i cant detect LOTV which is a good thing for me.
lovely enchanting sweetness but never cloying, not overpowering for the office.
a lovely daytime all rounder. not unique or groundbreaking. just pleasantly nice.
vvv19768 – :
It was a blind buy and somehow is the only fragrance I can’t smell at all (it intrigued me so much), but I get lots of compliments when I am wearing it; in particular from men.
WelmInheree – :
A blind buy from TKMaxx cost me about £12.00 but I have to say it’s very pleasant. Last quite a long time on my skin, is not over powering….smells like pale grey angora and nude pink silk would smell if they had a smell.

SWEET FLORAL
I bought this after testing it in store as I liked the neroli in the initial spray. This is a nice, agreeable perfume for work or day time. However the scent doesn’t last long on my skin and it changes over time as the orange blossom comes through. I find this perfume quite sweet and powdery on dry-down. It wasn’t an expensive purchase so I am not disappointed with it, just expected more from the initial neroli note! I will continue wearing this around the office.

Mmmm, I suppose it is a bit sweet, but nothing like the overbearing bubblegum some reviewers have described, not to my nose at least!! I sense quite a lovely development, ffrom fresh, bitter neroli, to a stunningly lifelike lily-of-the-valley, straight to a heart of intoxicating jasmine!! I want to smell my wrist all day! Eventually, it settles down to a slightly-powdery, woodsy vanilla in the base, but the first hour or two is divine (admittedly, it doesn’t have great longevity, but at this price point, how could it?!)

Last year I recieved a half full bottle of mont blanc legend in a swap, tested it once, liked it as a safe, inoffensive orange blossom scent and forgot about it as I prefered my elie saabs and serge lutens fleur de oranger as my orange flower fumes.lately I saw it and decided to wear it that day.it feels really good in this cool also sunny spring days, since then it had turned to my go to perfume and now there’s just 20mils left in it’s bottle.probably I will reparchase it some day as I see it as one of rare orange blossom scents that I can wear daily and there’s no need to wait for special evenings to enjoy it.for me it’s not a legend.it’s very lovely and friendly
After wearing it couple of times now I know that it’s not a plain orange blossom scent, other notes such as jasmine, pear and vanilla are as strong.it opens loud and bright and orangey but bitter orange is soon replaced by a sweet and creamy combination of vanilla, pear and white florals.I was surprised to see a lot of people call it light as it’s not really delicate on me.it stays on my skin +6hours,with more than moderate sillage and very good projection.I can catch whiffs of it’s gorgeous scent as I move and I love to feel my perfume without sniffing myself like crazys.a soft whisper of musk and woody notes appear in drydown, make it softer, less intensely sweet and a tad powdery.I love all of the notes I smell in it so no wonder I enjoy it so much.legend is feminine and lively,it’s sweetness can make it appealing for younger ladies while it has enough class to make it also a good choice for more mature ladies.me and my mom both wear and like it a lot(by the way my mom usually dislikes sweet perfumes.legend is one of her exceptions)what makes it so likable for me is that I see it as a very versatile one.it’s wearable almost always, year round(better in mild weather),both mornings and evenings, office and date, shopping and party, even wedding(it was my cousin’s wedding perfume) so while I don’t see it as something unique and original,it has other good features which make me go for it

I don’t think this fits the era suggested in the copy at all.. L’Interdit is more the style for those women!
So how does it smell?? It opens on a cheery citrus note, clean and suited for hot weather wear. Later the citrus burns off and leaves a pleasant white floral backed up by vanilla, which oddly enough is outlasted by the white flowers.
I’m astonished by that anyone called this heavy. It’s not at all heavy to me, it’s like lace, you could wear a little, or a lot, and while it might garner more attention the larger the amount, the fabric itself would not be heavy still, just more of it to catch the eye.
In fact, it conjures up a confirmation dress now I think of it, it’s a youngish scent and fairly clean and innocent. You could wear this scent anywhere and not offend anyone with it. I can see see school age girls and office workers embracing it. It is a ‘nice’ scent, but I go more frequently to the shockers!
The bottle I was disappointed in, it’s too shiny and looks cheaper than I think intended. Something is just off in the design, if you’re irritated by things being not quite right, it will annoy. I was looking forward to the bottle but I spray and shove it back into its box!

This is my first ever review on fragrantica. Unfortunately this was really bad. After the initial burst of intense loveliness (neroli), then a strong floral middle of its regrettably long life on my skin, it settled into a harsh, aggressive, almost dirty bubblegum. A big shame as it started so beautifully but on me it develops all its bad facets.

luxurious scent! <3

i feel smelling bunch of flowers! jasmine and neroli. feeling walking under orange trees in spring.

Light and delightful as a morning dew.
bubkin19751105 – :
Heavier than I expected, reminded me pre-millenium period in perfumery. Bitter, powdery sweet mixture of citrus and woods dries down to sugary citrus only, without freshness would be expected for modern perfumes. Looking back to the advert – yes, I likely find this perfume correlating with times of Grace Kelly, Ingrid Bergman, Greta Garbo and Marlene Dietrich just because of heaviness of perfume. I picked it up without trying, presumably for office daily use, but will keep for “eve go out” occasions as this Legend is more suitable for long evening dresses…
Diff – :
This is a great perfume for the office. It isn’t going to knock anyone’s socks off but it’s nice for daily wear. It lasts all day and it isn’t offensive. I get compliments on it. It smells clean. People keep reviewing that it is “sweet”…. maybe… but not like Thierry Mugler Angel sweet… or anything like that. It is the diet version of that kind of sweet… in my opinion, not terribly sweet at all. It is a good balance of floral, fresh, sweet, and clean. Probably won’t be anyone’s FAVORITE scent… but it is a great go to fragrance.
Lionion – :
Very clean citrus comprised of orange flower, the bitter orange was especially prominent to my nose. From then on it was a nicely blended composition of the heart and base notes with a sweet mellow vanilla on the dry down. Sillage and longevity moderate.
This is not a scent to amaze, it is a clean, likeable, inoffensive, pretty scent. Would consider in the future if I felt like a nice citrus frag. Reminds me a bit of Burberry The Beat without the sour or spicy notes.
buka_01 – :
Tried this at my local departmental store.
First few minutes was really nice and I smelled some berry notes in it.
But after one hour later… I swear I smelled fish market! Yuck, seriously 🙁
k550i – :
It is very lovely perfume , I live in UAE and not any scent can react to heat and moist here , this one can stay as it is for long time .
inhasogsPig – :
I absolutely love the first several minutes after spraying.
It’s all about neroli and bitter orange. Rich, mouthwatering green (!) scent but with good amount of sweetness. Unfortunately (for me, I’m sure many Fragranticans would disagree) after that bright and inviting beginning my skin starts to amplify vanilla and pear and it quickly becomes almost unbearable. Very sweet and, dare I say that, boring dry down.
My equally perfume- obsessed friend said it smells oriental and (surprise, surprise) sweet like honey scented incense cones.. I don’t get anything ‘oriental’ from Legend but thought it’s worth mentioning 😉
tygruk88 – :
Cute perfume. I had it as a gift and I love it…
lack – :
I got this perfume as a birthday gift,
1st impression: what a cute bottle
2nd impression after spraying: pungent smell of bitter orange
3th impression after giving it some time: very lovely smell, cute as the bottle, beautiful jasmine mixed with neroli and vanilla resulting in a bubbly feeling.
Over all impression: BIG LIKE
sillage: moderate
Longevity : moderate

Bought this for my friend because I loved it although I see not many people like it here! And she loved it too. That’s all I care about! =D
snaipermoldova – :
Amazing perfume. Classic citrus (biter orange), flowery lady (neroli, jasmine and orange blossom), and a touch of fruit (pear) makes it soft, delicate but LUXURIOUS… when this flowers and fruits meets the vanilla and sandalwood. Thats what I though when I first smelled it: LUXURY. I imagine a successful woman, with a delicate smile on her face, ready for business. I personally like it so much and I can totally relate this to Christian Dior J’adore and Christian Dior pure poison but this is softer than those. Delicate enough to wear in spring, citrusy for hotter days. And PRFECT por autumn, because -in my opinion- sandalwood and vainilla makes this warm. What a perfect perfume BUT in my opinion yeah, its a little generic: a clean orange blossom with a touch of fruits. Totally recommend it tho.
ZofwootsIcews – :
I quite like this, but naming it Legend… anyway better than the masculin version.
I was reluctant to try it as it features pear in the notes and I cannot stand pear, but I’m glad I gave it a chance because it smells pleasant and pear is not too dominant.
This is more about white flowers or better the modern “white flowers” concept, that is a misch-masch of floral notes (synthetical) that mimic the carnal feeling of white flowers in nature, only that it is a much cleaner and safe effect, whereas white flowers in nature often bring a dirtier and more sensual vibe.
According to the notes this should be a triumph of luminous opulence and sensuality, instead here we have a good feminine lady perfume without aldeides in a safer mode.
No half-dressed (or half-naked) beauty in an ancient painting tempting the watcher, rather a good-mannered manager/office lady wearing a nice but tamed suit, perhaps with a detail in colour and going for after-five drink. She wears floral dresses in fine silk on weekend and she is quite a lively personality, yet she knows how to be sober and stay into given limits.
Innocent but knowing and not lacking some elegance.
The woody-vanillin drydown gives the right amount of warmth and power with a vague bubblegum edge, not too much.
Pleasant and easy to wear, it’s similar to many others, especially in the Jil Sander collection, yet it’s quite worthy and bring compliments.
chj624JeomiWogkig – :
Sweet white florals, slightly indolic but not too much, with crisp and a touch of vanilla for warmth. I like the pear note especially. Soft, good for warmer months. The bitter orange balances out the sweeter aspects and keeps it from becoming too sweet. Good for day time wear, office wear with a light hand as it’s not too heavy.
DSE230686 – :
Just a note to myself rather than a review, it’s a bit harsh may be it’s the bitter orange, it’s not at all creamy did not get the vanilla, one to take off my want shelf
cedoi112 – :
It has nothing to do with the description – Grace Kelly, Ingrid Bergman, Greta Garbo and Marlene Dietrich? Oh c’mon! No way. Legend pour femme is sweet, but not overwhelming, smells like a delicate marshmallow – and yeah, somewhat bubblegummish (is that a word?), but not JPG Ma Dame bubblegummish. French chic is the word I’m looking for. Très bien.
Luтый – :
Oranges/orange flowers… it seems to be in every perfume I try nowadays. I`m very tired of it`s warm sickening and boring smell.
And yes, it`s similar to Dior Pure Poison. Same dense white floral and orange combo.
sanches112 – :
It’s my second review,which is completely different…
last week I smelt it in its bottle for first time.It was my cousin’s brand new perfume. Today,I smelt it again, but this time on my cousin. It’s perfect. In my opinion It’s more fruity than floral.Suitable for spring(good for summer too). Also has good price.Worths money. Not good in sillage.mixture of innocent and seductive scents .

legend!this is not exactly the word that would come to my mind after smelling this perfume.it smells nice, sweet and feminine, but not like a legend!
to me the most dominant note is vanilla and I agree with the bubblegum smelling description.actually it reminds me very much of Black XS l’exces and it’s not surprising as they have so many notes in common.
legend is a kind of perfume I may admire for the others, but not for myself.
gme385Bessinepome – :
I agree thats its a loud pear bubble-gum smell. Jasmine is very raw though, very dominant, together with neroli
Orange blossom is far behind, dry down again pear but with vanilla
I guess it might be good choice for people who like it LOUD and like tutti-frutti unspicy ones.
On me – lasts already good 5 hours and not going to calm down. Oops!
Ксюша20 – :
I’ve been eyeing this one off for a while. I finally got a chance to test it today. It is nice enough – from what I could smell but doesn’t project much. I could blame that on the fact the guy behind the perfume counter was stingey with the tester and only gave me one spray, but I also only got one spritz of Madonna’s Truth or Dare and that would have to be 5 times stronger. Legend has some lovely fruity/vanilla notes but I think this ones coming off my “want” list just for it’s lack of sillage.
wilieswaimilt – :
My personal opinion is that the perfume is very disgusting. I love white flowers, vanila, lilly of the valley, musk. But here I can feel only cachophony. And it really smells of bubblegum. I will not wear it even someone has given it to me as a gift.
SpoodoTed – :
Legend Pour Femme is a pleasant, somewhat citrusy, understated vanilla. On my skin, orange blossom, jasmine, and pear are noticeably present, filling out the scent and lending interest where there might otherwise be a first impression of generic mediocrity.
However, initial wearings give pause, as there is a nuance here that isn’t quite expected. I think it may be a Mont Blanc signature, similar to what others have cited in Guerlain fragrances as “Guerlinade”, as this particular nuance is present in other Mont Blanc scents I have sampled. Mont Blanc must have their own “MontBlancade”, and this is the nuance I keep coming back to with intrigue. To me, MontBlancade smells of wealth, hinting at refinement and the kind of moderately expressed elegance one might see in a woman whose sartorial is insanely expensive, but in no way extravagantly presented. This isn’t couture, it is cool, businesslike, and somewhat conservative; very feminine, but reserved. It’s almost aloof, which, for a vanilla, is unexpected.
Legend Pour Femme is sweet enough to exit dry territory, but it is a restrained sweetness. The scent is well blended, and while it doesn’t quite sparkle, there’s a hint of something bright and shiny, perhaps less like crystal and more like polished silver. It isn’t something I’d normally go for, but I really like it.
rubot – :
At first it smelled quite lovely but the drydown smells very much like fruity bubblegum.
Anny891 – :
Very unsuccessful mixture of vanilla and citrus on me. Neither warm vanilla, nor fresh citrus. Not sexy, not elegant…
Flubber – :
Legend, one for everyday bought on a whim because I liked the bottle and it does last on me, no drama with Legend just simple sweet fruity – not legendary not unforgettable but pleasant and inoffensive.
xeliyss – :
I really like this one, it is very close to Salvatore Ferragamo pour femme in the Gold edition ,one of my favourites, which isnt listed here. The drydown is very very close to it.
Its classy, not too sweet ,perfect harmony between floral and fruit , very feminine, and inoffensive, and somewhat uplifting- a keeper:)

Had a little spritz of this in debenhams not my usual type of perfume but must say its lush!! Can imagine wearing it on summer days playing in the garden with my kiddiwinkles x
JIexaHT – :
Mont Blanc newest creation is not so legendary as the name suggests..To me it’s a clone of Lancome’s bubblegum ‘La Vie est Belle’..Too simple, girly and sweet, nothing interesting to my nose.It starts with a drop of bitter orange which after a while completely disappears..Then it’s all about sweet pear, vanilla with a hint of orange blossom.Very disappointed and of course it can’t even compared to the legendary and powerful Presence d’Une Femme.Lasting power is average.
ToveSpoof – :
This is extremely pleasant, i am starting to think i like jasmine 🙂 its in the vein of Armani Code, more summery, lighter and with toned down sweetness, the only downside to me would be-i think i already own something similar, otherwise its a beautiful scent.
lld200bedyWelty – :
Reminds me initially of Petit(Avon)and after Pure Poison!
ArtNika2011 – :
soft and subtle scent,just lovely.
vimto – :
Another citric fruity floral smelling exactly like thousands of other ones. I though the trend had already gone so ubiquitous this type of scent has become. I find it surprising that any fashion house still dares to come out with a scent like this. I am sorry, it is too much. Can they not do anything a bit different? What is the point of this?
Имиль – :
That’s not a legend. A quite typical orange blossom fragrance that starts off with a neroli note, than becomes fruitier and in the dry down it smells fruity sweet (vanilla begins to play). A clone of Armani Code with some nuances.
Mebwi587intitytek – :
This frag to me is luxury in a bottle!!!! It’s start light and mild frag!!! But the dry down effect is amazing!!!! It’s sophisticated, got it class!!!!! Loved this frag!
vanoxer – :
I tried it today and it is a soft floral scent reminds me of Pure Poison by Dior, starts fresh and becomes a little sweet floral scent, being so light does not last long but its sillage is good, has great quality, the bottle is pretty and classy in person. Such a lovely smell…
natali 1978 – :
Just tried this at Vavavoom on my hand, for my mom tho, i’m a guy. the smell is amazing, all the 4 other members of my family loved it too, the projection was kinda limited to my wrist only, on my skin at least, i hope it’s amazing on other peoples skin. Definitely going to get it for my mom and my gf maybe 😀
The bottle looks great too!
