Agreed with Roge below. It’s not exactly an easy task to make a smooth lavender fragrance where lavender is one of the only players present. Very few have succeeded and, sadly, even fewer have succeeded well.
Luckily this is actually a fantastic lavender, regardless of the attempt. Herbaeceous, cold and a bit scratchy. In the best possible way, of course. However, sadly, it’s not really bringing anything new to the lavender soliflore game. It’s not generic, but nothing exciting either.
This is for people who want a great quality lavender fragrance that lasts. I’m gonna go out on a limb and say that it’s the musk’s task to improve longevity and it worked.
8/10 because I love lavender. Easy. Can’t fault it, really. Just an unfortunate name.

I’m going full Gall(review 3/8). Sometimes it’s good to be monogamous. This is for people that want their skin to be married to one note and one note only. Even with musk added for charisma, this is very much a domesticated lavender. How silky can lavender be? Lavender is naturally the antithesis of silky. Therefore, the attempt to make this fragrance appear smooth is a tough task. This is everything you’d expect a lavender to be: herbaceous, zesty and blooming. Did Gallagher succeed or fail in his silky endeavors? Neither. That might be a good thing. The lavender wasn’t manipulated to the point where it was unrecognizable. Think of all the fragrances you’ve ever tried where the lavender note was a benchwarmer. Lavender Silk is the response.
