I have the vintage Floris Lavender Water. It is not soft or powdery. It is the notes listed. Herbaceous, balsamic, very bitter masculine lavender. Strong and wonderful.

Powdery and slightly green lavender. I found it soothing and comforting. I love it!
It’s a shame it got discontinued. Such and old formula from 1821. Such a relic. I like to imagine people wearing it through the ages and then me in the XXI century.
Floris should reconsider bringing it back.

I find this a nice simple lavender, very wearable and doesn’t shout.
On my skin it last approximately 4 hours.
