Description

Lait Concentré evokes a childhood memory that is connected to the popular and delicious condensed milk. It is fairylike, like a transparent veil, which merges smoothly with the skin, like a fleeting memory that you can just hold on to with your fingertips – a delicious and ethereal eau de toilette. At the beginning of the fragrance we encounter bright milk notes, which remind us of the delicious concentrated milk, which the French confectioner Nicolas Appert invented in the 19th Century. The light and seemingly transparent fragrance continues with a slighty tart, unsweetened coconut and closes with restrained caramel notes.” – a note from the brand.

Lait Concentre by Chabaud Maison de Parfum is a Aromatic Spicy fragrance for women. Lait Concentre was launched in 2014. The nose behind this fragrance is Sophie Chabaud. Top note is milk; middle note is coconut; base note is caramel.

This is a lovely, delicious, pure gourmand that smells just like sweetened condensed milk, with some browned butter (think the scent of butter bubbling and browning in a pan) in the drydown. I’m not getting any coconut. This is a warm, sweet, and comforting fragrance that makes me think of Christmas. It also makes me want to keep my wrist to my nose all day. It’s so temptingly rich, buttery, milky, and sweet, that I want to lick my wrists!
I received this as a sample with a purchase from Osswald NYC, and will definitely be purchasing a full bottle.

I wholly agree with the sentiment that this resembles CSP’s Matin Calin strongly. To me, it’s not identical, however. There’s an initial blast of coconut in it that Matin Calin does not have, and it seems a tad richer. Once it dries down, it is incredibly similar to MC.
Overall, it’s quite comforting, delicious, and gives off a gentle aura of scent. It has excellent longevity on my skin.

Chabaud fragrances are so well thought out and crafted. This is the truest lait scent I have ever experienced. That said, while I really like the fragrance, I am not sure that I want to wear it as a perfume.

This is an overwhelming milky scent. I wanted to love it but I just couldnt. I dont smell the coconut in it its more milk with caramel. It may be condensated milk but Im not sure, more like boiled milk with sugar. Very overpowering. It needs another hint of something to be wearable. Its not bad theres something realxing in it but maybe if you where to make a candle scent… My daughter said it reminded her of newborn babies… thats how milky it is

Very similar to Lait de Biscuit, but a tad sweeter. Realistic condensed milk!
However as it dries down, it really is nauseating, like sweet but spoiled baby spit up.

Absolutely settled condensed milk and it’s all. Yes, it’s gourmand, but if you like a taste of condensed milk, then you can wear it and will never get enough of this. Very wearable comparing with sweetness of SL Un Bois Vanille and FB Vanille. Lait Concentre reminds me of Amouroud Silk Route and FB Angie.

This smells exactly like CSP Matin Calin to me. Exactly.

I would LOVE to wear this, it sounds so much like my late, beloved CSP Lait Sucre. That fresh milky scent, with a touch a lite caramel and coconut…OMG!

if you want to smell like a condensed milk then this is for you, i liked smelling it from the bottle, but for now i am not convinced that i actually want to smell like that…next trip to the store i ll spray it on myself and then couple of hours later maybe I ll change my mind, didnt do it today cuz I was on a hunt for Toni Gard Toni, that has my favourite ambroxan in it, i bought it and already got couple of compliments on the way back home 😀 ding ding jackpot

I really love this one ! I guess it’s the first pure gourmand that I enjoy so much. Fortunately, I don’t detect any burnt caramel( like, say, in Chocolate Greedy) , just hot milk with caramel or butter cookies. I don’t detect any coconut either, but it’s ok for me.
Worn on clothes or hair it has a decent longevity and projects well in the warm weather or in the sun.
Yesterday I was wearing it when taking a walk and all the way long I was being accompanied with an idea to bake sth delicious when I come back home: it’s a very inspiring gourmand perfume 😉

This perfume surprised me! It’s so gourmand, it literally smells like cookies. That was my first thought.
It’s kind of milky and sugary. The most dominant note is caramel.
I haven’t smelled any other fragrance that would be more similar to food than this one.
The scent is very pleasant, but I wouldn’t want to smell like cookies.
This is a must-try for gourmand lovers.

I was a little bit unsure whether this would be something for me as the notes sound very sweet. Fear not, however! This is a very close to skin scent, it’s very linear and doesn’t develop much, it’s start to finish sweetened condensed milk from a can.
It’s lovely, the hint of coconut is there, but this is definitely not a coconut fragrance. The caramel is subtle, dissolved in creaminess of the milk.
Babies love it as it’s such a comforting aroma.

Oh, wow. This sounds perfectly scrumptious. I wouldn’t know whether to wear it or drink it. Must be a terrific comfort frag. Wish I could try it.
