Tested from a blind-buy bottle.
I agree with a lot of the above review. A pleasant cologne with, sadly, poor projection. Extremely good value for money (I bought on eBay). I get the woods and a slight herbiness right at the start (literally seconds), not so much lavender, although it is there, then it quickly becomes all about the fruity clementine note for me. It fades extremely quickly to a soft, gentle (no zest, no rind, just the fruit) tangeriney skin scent, which is kind of relaxing, warm and delicious; comforting, in fact. Rather than for a night out or a day at the office, I’d be inclined to wear this just before going to bed, which is in fact where I am writing this review, enveloped in a soft, subtle, orangey blanket of fragrance.

Komandors Dzintars is a very versatile scent for fall, spring and summer. The main notes are wood, spices and green. It opens greeny and woody with vivid lavender and sandalwood. In a few minutes the green basil comes but never overcomes the other notes. The mandarin is also here among with the other notes. Till the end, I can detect all the notes with a pinch of spice and a nice mild sweetness.
A simple masculine scent, easy to wear especially in spring-summer time. The longevity is moderate and the projection is nice for a few minutes but after that, it stays close to the skin. Overal is a superb men’s scent but with poor projection. It’s a pity being a wonderful fragrance without good projection.
It reminds me the Pure Lavender Azzaro for men and the Ultraviolet Paco Rabanne for men. Generally it has a well known smell.
It is sold for 500 rubles in Russia, about 7.5 US dollars, in 100 ml bottles.
