Cloves, black pepper, and tobacco blend.
More of spices than Kohl! patchouli, labdanum are there as well.

This is a dark spicy number, It opens with quite the kick of spice, a blend of pepper and clove, there is no sweetness to speak of.
Once that calms a bit, there is an interesting floral mix that smelled deep but with freshness. Turns out it’s rose smoothed and lifted by jasmine and lavender. The base is an intoxicating blend of wood, amber, oakmoss, and a touch of tobacco, plus another hearty dose of clove.
This is the serious version of DSH Jitterbug, which is a bit lighter and has some sweetness. In comparison to Kenzo l’elephant, Kohl Gris is definitely more complex and the clove isn’t quite as strong as the Kenzo. I like the more serious take on it, fierce and fiery.
A must try for spice lovers who don’t want a strong floral or don’t like sweetness in their scents.

It opens with strong clove and pepper. A few minutes later, iris does come and soften the scent. It now turns into a tobacco and spicy floral fume. Deep, complex, and attractive.
It gets a lot softer when truly dries down but is still spicy.
Longevity: about 6 hours on my skin
Sillage: moderate. Tend to be close to skin when dries down.
I can invision myself wearing this perfume in a cold winter.
