Description

Three years after launching the fragrance collection and the first edition Bottega Veneta, in collaboration with Coty Global Markets the new fragrance named Knot was presented and will arrive on the market in September 2014. Unlike the first EDP created in chypre-leather style, the new fragrance is much airier and abounds in floral and sparkling notes.

Fragrance Bottega Veneta Knot is inspired by fresh air of the Italian coast, scent of flowers and clean laundry whose scent comes through the open windows. The fragrance is signed by perfumer of the house of Givaudan – Daniela Andrier, and provides top notes with a bunch of citrus shades originating from clementine, mandarin, lime, neroli and orange blossom. The fresh and optimistic opening notes add up to floral heart notes, among which are peony, white rose and lavender, posing a contrast to the earthy base of musk and tonka.

Perfume Knot will be available as 30, 50 and 75ml Eau de Parfum, accompanied with body care products, among which one can choose body lotion, shower gel and body cream.
The nose behind this fragrance is Daniela (Roche) Andrier.

A fresh and airy blast of beautifully blended citrus and neroli to open followed by cool lavender with a light musk finish. Delicately balances clean meets sweet. Bottega Veneta Knot is fast becoming a favourite of mine. I get none of the claimed earthy undertones and never seem to reach the listed base notes. Just light and juicy loveliness with great longevity. Gloriously feminine, sophisticated and invigorating. A perfect Spring scent.

Well! I don’t know where to start! I think I’ve just fallen in love!
This is soooo beautiful! I had a phone call this avo from hubby saying you know how I have been getting on your nerves lately I want to buy you a perfume! To make up! Maybe Hypnose! I answered well um ok if you think! But Spring is here And I’ld love to try Bottega Veneta Knot!
Since I knew about it on this fragrantica sight and have previously owned Bottega Veneta and Legere, the latter of which I adored! I thought I would give it a try! A big risk! Since it was a fair outlay! And a blind buy! But I am so glad I did!
This is so very transcending! I can so much relate to many of the reviews here!
    That relaxing Italian/Mediterranean vibe!
Clean, fresh, sea, air, sun, warmth, flowers,
linen, ocean, beauty wow! Sooo nice! It’s an elegant ladylike beauty, natural and clean, I can imagine being on a yaught taking in the beautiful surrounds of calm waters and blue skies! Santamarinella coast! Almalfi coast! I am transported in my mind!
This is as close as I’ve ever been to the most beautiful destinations! I think I may have found a new favourite! Thankyou to you lovely fragrantica people for your reviews! As it’s because of these I took this risk! And am now happyI did!<3<3<3

I really do love this perfume. It’s a very classic , European smelling fragrance that brings me right back to Austria ,Italy and Germany. I think of summertime ,happy times and holidays! It smells like what my mother smelled like on our summer Holidays in Austria.
Love the lavender and the orange blossom ,it’s very aromatic ,clean, fresh and sunny. But what I love most of all is the warm solar feel of this. The rich part ,vanilla and Tonka with the musk and lavender , so clean yet so warm.
Daniella did it again, she is definitely my favorite perfumer , big fan !
I own knot florale and love it ,it has a different character though,it’s more powdery and clean in the sense of linen sheets with much less orange blosom, less lavender and less vanilla if any. They are related but not closely. Having said that all Danila’s fragrances ,or most of her perfumes are clean and elegant ,she is the perfumer of the whole prada line and known for her clean scents. Italien perfumes are my favourites and if she has her stamp on it it’s almost a garantied winner !
In addition, knot lasts into the next day. Forever ,,
Update ,,, I have been wearing this a few days now and I am obsessed! It’s the warmth I love about this. The herbal hint of the lavender and the Tonka and musk with the vanilla. It’s like a better jersey ! Addicted 100% !,, it still manages to smell clean ,like walking the streets in Italy with all the freshly washed clothes hanging on the lines. What a feeling !
    Music to my senses !

This is a stunner. Floral, spice and everything nice. It does not even have to try it just “is”. A lovely feminine, clean, gentle, soft, pretty, ageless, timeless and smooth. I think quite honestly it’s signature worthy for me.

Neroli, lavender, Clementine Orange, peony and orange blossom over a dirty almost incense-like musk. The opening is indeed rich and complex without becoming too perfumey.
As it settles it gets soapy. If it wasn’t for that dirty musk I would say this is too pretty for me.
It took me several wearings to make a decision with this one and always after I first applied it I would be impressed with how it was better than I remembered — floral without being too pretty and just the right amount of musk, but disappointed after a couple hours with how soapy it was. However, once I realized I was lucky to get five hours of longevity I decided it wasn’t for me.

    MAGAZINE SAMPLE
I’m not sure why I bought this. Maybe it was the allure of neroli. Most of my perfumes have neroli in them, so I’m naturally drawn to it. Like many others have described on Fragrantica, this puts me in mind of when you open a magazine perfume tester flap to smell. It smells high quality and spa-like, yet the flowery notes don’t align with me. It’s a safe scent to wear in the day-to-day although that’s all it is to me.

This is a very EXPENSIVE smelling fragrance. Wow… Just one whiff makes me think of holidays in the French or Italian Riviera on a yacht in the sun. That is maybe why I, however, don’t enjoy wearing it during winter months as I feel that the scent gets very “cold” and “undeveloped”. Or maybe there’s just something about the scent of orange blossoms which my mind associates with warm weather.

Some have said it smells like dryer sheets and I get why.
It’s the fresh clean scent that comes after the opening of citrus that gives that effect .It’s not bad at all by any means , but nothing makes it stand out either. Just a fresh pleasant smell with silage and longevity being so poor it makes the price ridiculous (IMO)

This would be a great fall or deep spring perfume. It’s floral but it’s not frilly and light at all. After a few hours it starts to smell leathery on my skin. I like it because it’s chique but casual enough to take it with you during lunch or when you go shopping.

I found BV Knot to be really impressive when I first tried it, but I had already owned a similar fragrance so buying it seemed pointless at the time.
I bought it now and I am very pleased! There are, indeed, subtle differences that make Knot more interesting and more attractive than other neroli perfumes. I am surrounded by an aura of flowers and lavender. A scent that is clean, disciplined, but luxurious at the same time. It is great for daytime and office wear. One of my best purchases by far!

This is beautiful. It is a fresh, soft spicy, musky scent. It is clean and fresh smelling, but still has depth and mystery and the right amount of grittiness. For me this is timeless, sophisticated, dignified, aloof and sexy in a very pent up way.
The main notes I detect are neroli, musk, and orange flower which is freshened up with strong traces of lavender and lime. The lavender and lime give it a sort of herbal, balmy freshness.
This scent is truly exquisite, and although not the most unique scent in the world, it has that little something that draws you in and keeps you addicted. I cannot say no to this scent, I always have to spray when in town. It is definitely one of the best fragrances of all time, a masterpiece and a treasure in the simplest sense. It is just luxurious and sophisticated, yet not at all loud, ostentatious or overbearing.
I don’t get overwhelming projection or lasting power like others have mentioned. It is very average in that regard for me personally. I wish it was not so expensive, I could easily wear this everyday- I will never have a favourite fragrance, however this one could very easily and comfortably be my signature scent. This scent comforts me and makes me feel sexy and confident, and most importantly, comfortable in my own skin and with my own current reality- whatever that may currently be. I find this scent reassuring and empowering.
I imagine an unsociable, aloof woman, who is suspicious and mistrusting of others, with not many friends or lovers wearing this scent. She smiles very infrequently and loathes small talk, and always looks distant and mentally preoccupied during such social events.
Overall I give this scent 9/10.

Pretty enough, but smells like a dryer sheet. I can get this scent that way.

Knot opens with a huge dose of lavender, some neroli and citrus fruits. It’s fresh, but calming, and unisex to my nose. Not masculine, just not as feminine as most women’s fragrances.
After some time the lavender weakens, but orange blossom comes in to complement the neroli. There is also a strong and clear lime scent at this phase. The citrus notes are surprisingly persistent in Knot.
The drydown is musk and neroli, a bit powdery, slightly floral and also woody for some reason. Just when I didn’t expect it anymore, peony is suddenly detectable and gives the fragrance a light feminine twist. Clean and floral, but not as pink and girly as many other scents with peony.
Overall, Knot is not a sweet fragrance, but not harsh either. I would call it aromatic and in the vein of classic citrusy colognes. An elegant and unique option if you’re looking for something like that! Surely it would be good in the summertime.
It’s in the nature of its notes not to last till the next morning, but this is quite powerful for what it is.

I love the scent of this perfume. It smells very clean and fresh and yet flowery and a little sweet. But it has one major problem; it has zero longevity on me, stays on for roughly an hour, plus a very weak sillage. So sad, it could be my primary perfume.

I need to learn that I will always associate lavender and musk with laundry detergent/dryer sheets, especially if it is powdery. Knot has a sweetness that made me check to make sure if I put away the maple sausage from breakfast, twice! This is a pleasant, restrained, sweetened floral perfume that is perfect for work or brunch.

At certain times of year I can get my hands on Satsuma Oranges, which are small oranges that are easily peeled and often come with fragrant green leaves attached to a stem. They smell so good, the scent is rich and a bit woody, and if you crush the leaves the leaves have a lovely bitter orange pine scent. Which is all to say, that orange top on Knot–clementine, mandarin, and neroli, is really really gorgeous and smells like a Satsuma orange. It smells very bright and herbal, and a little green even. It smells like a sun radiating from my skin.
The clementine-orange-neroli accord is the theme for the entire wear of the perfume. Knot isn’t a perfume that has short-lived citrus top notes before transitioning into something else. It’s kind of impressive actually.
Anyway, the initial burst of oranges is quickly complimented by a silky/powdery lavender and iris, which unfortunately lasts less than 10 minutes on my skin. The lavender note is only part of the topnotes and disappears quickly. It is followed by the floral notes, on me it is mostly the rose/”white rose” because it does smell like more of a white floral than a red one. Thankfully the peony isn’t that noticeable because I generally don’t like peonies.
The orange-white rose floral part is really enjoyable but only lasts maybe an hour. After that the musks move in, but they are light, more of a cashmere musk with a hint of dry woody vanilla. At this point too the orange is less green and herbal, and more of an orange blossom flower. This is the part that is the bulk of Knot, an orange flower over musk. It doesn’t smell soapy to me but does feel very clean and mentally the scent is very relaxing.
I really, really like Knot, but here’s the things I wish were different: I wish the lavender and rose portions lasted longer, and I wish that it projected more. The lasting power is excellent with a proper application (like 6+ sprays) but it wears as a skins scent almost immediately. So I wish the whole thing was more amped-up. Still this is great for when you are stressed or tired or depressed, it is a very mood lifting perfume (must be all those citrus notes) or for when you just have to go to work. And this should be obvious but this is not overly ‘feminine’ and anyone interested in the notes should give it a shot, it’s a well done perfume. And the bottle is gorgeous.

Knot is a gorgeous, classically proportioned white floral with a deft lightness that makes it perfectly attuned to contemporary tastes. The wonderful opening is a bright cologne-like burst of zesty lime and slightly honeyed neroli. The top notes last a remarkably long time before Knot’s standout creamy orange blossom comes to the fore. There’s a fleshy quality to the orange blossom that is almost jasmine-like to my nose, but not at all indolic. It’s bolstered by hints of lavender, laundry musk and sweet tonka. Some may find the effect soapy.
Knot’s overall impression is porcelain white, soft and clean – all attributes one would traditionally attribute to a feminine floral. The citrus-neroli opening leans very unisex, however, making Knot easily wearable by any man who can appreciate a fine white floral.
While Knot may comes across as a somewhat formal, buttoned up fragrance, I find it a joy to wear. This would be the ideal perfume for a punt down a willow-lined river on a gorgeous late spring afternoon.

This is a deceptively simple very well balanced neroli and orange blossom scent with lots of dignity and substance. It’s not delicate, frail or lush, but focused and sober. Even though it’s very linear the neroli manages not to be too dry or brittle or metallic because of the supporting notes give it a fullness. I imagine wearing this in the fall or winter with a tailored expensive coat and walking briskly down a street with my head held up cutting through crowds on my way to an important event.

I have only recently become engaged, and with the excitement of an impending wedding comes the difficult task of choosing your wedding day fragrance. I dearly love the scent of orange blossoms and have always envisioned that on my special day I would smell just like these heavenly blooms.
Bottega Veneta’s Knot was placed high on my list of potential wedding day scents. Not only does this fragrance feature orange blossom in abundance but the name sounds like a cheeky play on ‘tying the knot’.
After smelling Knot it is definitely a contender. The orange blossom accord is both luscious and crisp, perfect for a mid-season wedding. The additional citrus accords in the opening and heart of Knot lend a bright, somewhat playful dimension that further highlights its celebratory potential.
Perhaps the only downside to this fragrance is its light projection. I have no issues with the longevity whatsoever, it’s the sillage that I wish were stronger. I want my fragrance to be noticed and for my partner to consistently catch wafts of my fragrance throughout the day. I may try layering with matching body products to see if Knot can be intensified further.

After owning and loving bottega veneta eau legere I reached to the point that this brand is really high quality(and highly underrated in iran)and I’d love to try it’s other perfumes so I searched and finally found a forgotten decant of knot that I remember to dislike before
As soon as I sprayed it I renembered why I disliked it.it opens with strong lime and lavender on my skin, very detergent like also reminding a lemony dish washer but that’s not why I didn’t like it since I love lavender and I like detergent scents but I can’t get along well with sour citruses and it’s really sour on me but also very fresh but this time I decided to give it time to settle and it didn’t dissapoint.after couple of minutes knot’s floral heart blooms and it’s sourness mellows to a fresh lemony undertone mingling with neroli, orange blossom and a hint of peony(neroli being the pack leader)I can’t say that I love it head over heels but to be honest it’s fresh, clean, pleasant and feminine(unlike it’s unisex opening)
I was thinking wether it’s FB worthy or not that I suddenly caught myself being unable to move my hand far from my nose.knot has an amazing drydown do good that makes me dream of a heaven like spring in italy, where I’ve never been in real life
Neroli, orange flower and musk blend to create a clean, soapy floral scent with citrusy freshness hovering from back and a delicate, almost creamy (not thick or fatty cream)sweetness rounds sharp edges.god this is gorgeous and I don’t know how bottega veneta perfumes manage to smell this expensive and classy but they do
simple but chic, clean and classy feminine perfumes is what I used to call french style but now I see calling it italian syle is as aptly
I see that most of people rated for spring and fall as best seasons for this lovely sheer veil of newly washed skin and a breeze of citruses and citrus flowers but for me summer seems as good as spring to enjoy it’s calm and clean and cool and fresh scent.furthur more on my skin musk need a bit of warmth to act
My pocket is sad for this new discovery as I had promised myself to do the impossible and not to buy a single perfume until the end of spring but I have to save for a bottle,I’m lucky that my friend has it in her perfume shop,as bottega perfumes arent easy to find here.it’s bottle looks as great as it’s scent so I can’t wait for the day of ordering it
It’s a delicate scent but Longevity is +8 hours, sillage isn’t big but I can catch lovely whiffs of it through these hours
Now I’m looking forward to test knot floral

I fell in love with Knot yesterday (already swapped one 🙂 ) and I have to tell you guys I am really not easy to please when it’s about perfume! I began to read the reviews and got so confused how many of you disliked this… Then I scrolled further and my favorite places appeared while talking about the scent: California, Hawaii’ Southern Italy.., so THIS is why I fell in love instantly! Oh and the laundry detergent vibe just adds to my pleasure 🙂 IMO the name KNOT is a playful way to say unforgettable, in Europe we have a saying if you want the remember something tie a knot on your scarf. This might not be the explonation although it makes perfect sence to me.

BV Knot reminds me of church on Easter Sunday. It’s the kind of perfume moms would wear with a new pastel dress and a pretty hat, clasping their kid’s hand and giving them that side eye “don’t you dare misbehave” look, before flashing a pretty smile at the pastor in greeting. It’s refined, pretty, and restrained, and it smells clean and new, like a new dress in the spring time.
My immediate impression was “this smells like soap,” and I still think that about an hour later. But this isn’t just any Ivory soap you can toss into your supermarket basket along with the week’s groceries. This is soap at a luxury hotel in a room filled with white flowers. It doesn’t smell like white flowers growing outside – there’s no dirt here, or any hint of green. This is white flowers freshly cut and arranged and placed by your bedside, in a room where everything is white and nothing is out of place. The citrus is there, but it’s light. This isn’t a sticky sweet lime you just cut into, but more the hint of lime in the distilled water you drink.
In short: Knot is clean and exceptionally well mannered. I quite like it, because I think it smells nostalgic. Like something my grandmother would have worn with a lady-like pink lipstick. This is NOT to say it’s “old” – please don’t assume that because my grandmother would have worn it that I think it’s off limits or inappropriate for a younger audience. My grandmother was just the perfect audience for a scent like Knot: fastidious, polite, and classically beautiful.

When it comes to perfume, Bottega Veneta is a modern brand that’s the foremost torch carrier of the great perfumes of yesterday if you ask me. If Bottega Veneta releases a celeb style fruitchouli I’ll chop off my left hand. The brand’s offerings are always refined, very put together, elegant and dramatic without being overdone. Knot is no exception. It does not smell like it stems from the 80’s or 70’s or early 90’s, but it evokes the spirit of an era long gone. A lot of the time you see people lamenting the current state of perfumery – that’s not me. I’m just saying that in today’s mainstream fragrance climate, Bottega Veneta’s vintage flair is refreshing.
I find Knot hard to classify. It is an opulent, golden green floral with citrusy overtones and it smells like “my car gloves are cream-colored suede and if you spill a drop on them while handing me my coffee I’ll have your head, maggot”. Arrogant and almost ruthless but with such poise that it’s attractive. I can’t help but like it. The ultimate bad bitch scent.

  24. :

The initial 4711 cologne-like blast disapoints. It lasts longer and gets a bit powdery but still very far away from what I’d expect from this house.

  25. :

    4 out of 5

A sheer, Soviet-y cologne, crisp and expensive smelling, so more for the priviledged “Moskvitchs” back then. I agree on wearing this in combination with a white button shirt, a straight and starched one. Somehow it wears like a gem, you catch a glimpse of a delicate ear ring. And then again it just wraps you expansively, with a rustling sound of the dry-est white cotton sheets.
So why the knot in the name and on the bottle? Maybe a reminder of a past that always seems to be more simple. And golden.

  26. :

    5 out of 5

BV Knot is nice and totally un-offensive. It’s a impressively “clean” and fresh scent. If that’s what you’re into, Knot is going to be a must have for you. It’s probably one of the cleanest smelling scents I’ve ever come across. It smells as if you just stepped out of a luxury spa where you were buffed clean with expensive soaps and lotions, put on clothes fresh out of the wash, then walked through a field of white flowers fresh in bloom. It’s quite invigorating and uplifting because of that freshly showered clean vibe it gives off.
I bought a bottle and after a couple wears I started to lose that feeling and vision I just described above… my nose’s opinion of BV Knot slowly morphed into something much less lovely. Specifically, it now reminds me of every magazine perfume “flap” advertisement ever. It smells just like that, paper/magazine smell and all. A fresh, clean, “nice enough “, perfumed magazine flap. lol
Now, that said, I should have really known better than to buy a whole bottle because this is not normally the type of scent I go for at all. And I’ve found that I tire quite quickly of scents that are outside my usual zone of comfort. But hey, BV Knot made a good enough first impression for me to abandon all logic, step out of my comfort zone knowing that rarely works, and drop 95$. lol That ought to tell you something!

I am smelling it from a sample I got. I immediately got some white flowers and lime and then the scent sort of drifted, although the lasting power is strong on this one. I repeatedly caught a powerful sniff of it and wondered if someone had come through the room…but it was me. It has a sharp note that is very feminine but also hints at olfactory abrasion. I have very mixed feelings on this one. A better version of white flowers that is also strong is Floris Wedding Bouquet, which I have and love.

  28. :

Very powerful Citrus and White Flower opening. Just grows and grows! The Orange Blossom really gives this a Peppery feel. The standout mid note for me is Rose with a hint of Peony. I don’t get any Lavender at all.
This perfume feels quite ‘in your face’ to me. It’s not a ‘friendly fun’ type. If anything it is quite ‘prim and proper’…mature but not musty old. The dry down is pure Musk and Tonka Bean…I get no lingering mid notes. Quite strange in that regard really..?
I haven’t written this one off completely yet..there is something about it that I want to explore more…possibly its the Clementine. I am not on first name basis with this note and I definitely detected it. So I’m going to revisit this perfume via cloud application…possibly I was simply always too heavy handed with it 🙂 My bad…

review from dab on sample. it smells exactly like something else but cant quite think of it at the moment. alfred sung, maybe giorgio wings.? its got that sickly sweet smell in it that gives you headaches and you want to wash it off and it lasts forever just because you dont want it to.

Guys! I just realized that Avon’s Kyoto Flower is amazingly similar to Knot, especially during the dry down – in the opening the neroli is much more predominant but as soon as it burns off the two are, not indistinguishable but really, really close. I’ve been using KF perfume and body wash all summer and just sprayed some Knot on myself and holy cow, they’re almost exactly the same! Knot is (unsurprisingly) more expensive smelling because I’m sure they’re using far better ingredients but Avon still managed to make an excellent dupe.
Edit: I finally got my full bottle and… it does *not* smell like KF wtf! It doesn’t smell like my sample either, obviously. I’m guessing it’s because it was reformulated? The juice in my bottle is sweeter and creamier, very gardenia-like. Still beautiful though – I’m not disappointed that I have my small bottle.

  32. :

It’s a nice and smooth white floral, that has a silky kind of smell to it.
It’s not as special as Bottega Veneta’s EDP and Eau Legere, but it’s still fine. It’s for people, who prefer fresh and floral to woody and leathery.
    Good for an everyday scent.

  33. :

    Not for me.
When I was a kid, I remember smelling all of the perfume samples in my mom’s magazines (you know — where you had to unfold the paper?) and thinking that they all had the same generic “women’s perfume” smell. When I sampled this one, I flashed back to that. The opening is unpleasant and screeching on me, and then it dried down to a bland sweet floral. I like some white florals, but they have to have some dark funk to them — this is does not.

  34. :

    5 out of 5

I am not impressed with this one. It is just another citrusy white floral. Do not get me wrong, i can appreciate a good floral with citrus, but this one lacks personality. It has nothing to remember. It follows the same old formula: a citrusy opening, than a floral middle and at the end something sweet. For this price i was actually expecting more. I am also disappointed with the sillage. soon after spraying i have to bring my hand very close to my nose to smell it.
It is not a bad perfume, it is pleasant, but one can find better fresh florals out there.
Another thing that i do not like is that it tries to project an old style glamour, but at the end, it smells more old (and cold) than glamoruous.
    But to each its own.

This perfume screams fresh, so fresh. You got to love it.It is like an old cologne from my communist era but much more improved. When I smell it I can feel all the perfumes that were than in so many coloured bottles. We couldn’t find many things but we had eau de cologne.
It has a quiet and rich smell, clean and subtle. It’s very clean but it doesn’t scream soap. The bottle has a great design.
This perfume was launched for fall and it’s like a breath of fresh air when it’s ugly outside.
I read somewhere that this perfume makes you feel much elegant than you really are and that’s an illusion women don’t mind keeping.

Knot is really a lovely fragrance, perfect for a beautiful Spring morning. It opens up with a fresh citrusy floral scent, is not too strong, but it definitely has presence. I feel very elegant while wearing this. I bought a mini of this, and it may be FB worth.

With a lovely fresh citrus orange opening and tumbling roses, this smells very high class and expensive. It has something moreish. A tiny spray was enough to give a wave of sophisticated flowers and a refreshing clean chypre burst.

I got a sample thinking that I wouldn’t be very impressed (after all, people say it’s like other neroli fragrances so why bother, right?) and I’m happy that I decided to try it anyway.
I’m swept off my feet. This is by far the best neroli perfume that I’ve come across. I think the best resemblance is to L’Occitane fragrances, but with significantly greater quality. As some have already mentioned, this is not your typical innocent and romantic floral, but a serious one that demands respect.

  40. :

    4 out of 5

One can see the notes and think: yeah, ok white flowers, citrus, peony and musk, I’ve seen it done before, I get this..but Knot is way different. Its serious and commands respect. Period.
Maybe its the lavender and tonic bean notes, but there is nothing young, frilly or fun about this. Its not meant to be. You wear this to be noticed in a no nonsense I Mean Business fashion. Not unisex or masculine to me at all, this is purely for a mature confident women. I can understand how this may not appeal to many, its extreme in its approach. But if you’re game for wearing this, you will be impressed.
Feminine, rich, expensive smelling and sophisticated all the way. I do get a slight luxurious Italian soap vibe from this too. Transitional and can work for business or pleasure, just know what you are getting into first.
    I give Knot a standing O

This is such an Italian perfume! Literally smells like the laundry hanging above the streets in Naples, early in the morning, before the heat arrives. On my skin it’s a mix of lavender and neroli, nothing else.
I find this fragrance very formal, clean and slightly masculine. Interesting how a strictly flowery scent can be completely not flirty or romantic, but proper, official. It is probably the lavender that makes it so. I wear it with a an elegant, starched button shirt for my most important business meetings and it gives me a boost of confidence.
Good job, Daniela! I owe you! 🙂

This was such a lovely, warm, citrusy orange blossom scent until the cumin note made its way to the surface. The smell wasn’t as pervasive as it is in Serge Lutens Fleurs d’Oranger but still, I could notice its presence. Not that it was strong enough to smell unpleasant on my skin but it made me fear that others could mistake it for BO. For those who enjoy a small dash of cumin or have skin that doesn’t emit BO-like smells because of it, this would be a wonderful, classy fragrance. Too bad I could never pull it off.

I’m with you elenmart – this is clearly jasmin to me. Knot is basically a strong floral perfume. Not for me.

I clearly smell a mix of neroli and jasmine in this fragrance. I am extremely surprised that jasmine isn’t among the notes!

I want to like this, I really do – because it’s beautiful on the card, and it’s a lovely composition. Somehow on my skin, I get a whisper of leather, Dove soap, and the remnants of what can only be described as a dash of cumin/coriander. I know right. Cumin. I am envious of those with skin that doesn’t make this happen.

my friend wears this fragrance. It is truly masterpiece, smelling very unique and not cheap. But I like it only on her. I could not wear it all day long. Orange blossom is just overhelming to me.

I am not a white floral fan and never have been. Still, this scent has captured my attention. On a paper sample, I smelled a sweet, candied amber with some sort of unidentifiable mild flower behind. When I sprayed some on wet, I got liquid Hawaii. White lush tropical flowers like a lei, with yellow pollen, and a creamy underling of vanilla musk. It’s like floral dessert. I will be seeking out more.

To be honest, I’m a bit disappointed. Not that the scent is bad, it’s just not that interesting as the classy packaging and the fame and glory of the first Bottega Veneta fragrance would suggest.
It’s a nice musky sweet floral; a classic one – something you have smelled on numerous occa
