I saw this fragrance on Let It Go, and didn’t know of this bottle, so i looked up the bottle on Fragrantica and also Basenotes…Noticed it was discontinued and cost over $250.00 for a full bottle N.I.B.
So i went out and got it. I see why it was discontinued.
It reminds of Jaguar Gold because of some of the notes.
Now take Jaguar Gold and mix it with Curry(The Spice)…
And you have this hot mess.
IDKY it starts off okay, then gets nice, afterwards it goes into a straight…stank odor…I had to shower…Seriously!
Tried it again a week later and i let it go from start to finish. If you want to waste your money on a discontinued item…please skip this. Unless you’re never gonna use this item. And just want it for your collection then be my guess. Then get it.
I’m trading mine, just in case you wanted to know.
I don’t see anyone wearing this…and pleasing others.
I only see a person rocking this for them and them alone.
BTW it has a slight urine smell in the drydown.
Now excuse me while i lite myself on fire for a few seconds, to get rid of the scent…AAAH, HOT HOT HOT, STOP DROP & ROLL X3! Worth it!
I used six sprays…both wrist, back & front of my neck, chest and front of my shirt. For once i can say, six was too much.
    Will I buy this again?…NO!
Does this fragrance enter BEAST MODE, good, just okay or weak sauce at best? WEAK SAUCE AT FUCKING BEST!
What’s the strength of this? EDT.
Am i willing to trade this fragrance? Yes!
Should You Skipped It, Sample It First or Blind Buy It? Skip it!
Can you use it as a unisex scent? Yes(But if a woman wore this, i wouldn’t talk to her).
Is it the old, new formulation? Old.
What’s its availability; in production, limited edition or discontinued? Discontinued!
SKU Number: The tester didn’t have a SKU # (If you want one SKU for the N.I.B the # is 701666230922)
Batch Number: 2335 (Production Date: November 30, 2012)
    Age: 21+
    From: Let It Go
    Size: 75 ML
    Scent: 2.5/5 (Meh).
Value: 4/5 (Cost me $70.00, out of $250.00+).
    Sillage: 2/5 (Two feet).
    Longevity: 1.5/5 (Three hours max).
Creativity: 1/5 (Smells like a Jaguar Gold mixed with Curry..the spice).
Projection: 1.5/5 (Less than an one hour).
Versatility: 2/5 (Night time & anywhere were you don’t care what people think).
Compliments: 1/5 (No one liked it, in fact a few people got up and moved…thank god for baby wipes).
Until next time, I’ll catch you on the flipside.

    Review from a sample spray.
Arcus is, together with Cirrus, a little trip from Amouage towards mainstream. And indeed, it is a non offensive, safe creation.
But I like it. It’s quite aquatic like, in the veins of acqua di gio or maybe bvlgari aqva. A bit greenish, also. Natural smelling and well blended.
Now I’ve come to think of it: Essenza di Zegna, or Acqua di Gio Essenza (which are similar), but softer and smoother, a tad bit more feminine even.
    7,5/10

Very few people appear to have reviewed Amouage ARCUS, and I’m not at all sure why, given that it was launched in 2005. I do see that ARCUS has already been discontinued, and so now I’m wondering whether perhaps it was a limited edition, which would explain why so few people ever got their nose on this creation.
My own sample was included in a set which I ordered from Parfumsraffy a couple of years ago, but it got lost in the shuffle of my rather chaotic queue. As my mission in 2013 is to review every perfume already in my possession, I was happy to happen upon this sample set today and to discover ARCUS.
This is a smooth and very well blended cologne which to be honest seems to me a lot like a violet-leaf creation in the spirit of EAU DE CARTIER. Perhaps fig leaves and violet leaves smell alike, but I must say that I do not notice any true fig quality in this composition whatsoever. I do smell a finely woven tapestry of a variety of different notes, but the overall effect ends up rather homogeneous. The lavender and basil definitely do not leap out at my nose at all, even though I usually find them to be quite salient notes.
I believe that this is a unisex creation because of its similarity in style to EAU DE CARTIER. Some people would find this sort of composition more masculine, but I do not get that big cologne guy vibe which marks the line beyond which I generally do not tread. Here, the characteristically masculine notes are judiciously applied to create a fine blend.
I like ARCUS a lot. I am not however convinced that it is necessary to pay Amouage prices to find this sort of thing. Still, I have enjoyed this experience and am happy to have found another Amouage friend, though we shall never meet again.
