I have ordered a set of samples from the official website and recieved “Kiyo”, “Sissi” and “Nuage d´eau”, all of them are current versions in rectangular bottles, re-releases of original, so my review is based on those samples. I yet have to find the originals if i like the modern ones 🙂 two sprays on the wrist.
The official review states that this fragrance was originally released in year 2000. I can say that it smells quite modern and this scent is ALL about frangipani. It is the core of the composition and defenitly for the frangipani lovers. Upon the application it smells like an überstrong frangipani, yet with a green twist. I was quite surprised what makes it smell so and i believe it is a mix of strong jasmine, pineapple and frangipani notes. Not a quite usual and plain frangipani like in some fragrances, this is bit “out of box”. Smells fresh, airy yet sweet at the same time. The freshness is mostly thanks to the lotus note in here, which is also quite detectable to my nose, once the opening has faded away. I don´t detect much of the rest of the notes (the balsam note is more detectable closer to the drydown), but the whole composition reminds me of a light version of “S de Scherrer” (however there is no frangipani in there).
Not sure if i am a fan of this scent, however apart from the other frangipanis i have smelled in my life so far, this one might be actually even quite enjoyable and wearable during the summer, without being suffocating. But i can´t justify the price 125euros for the 100ml bottle of EDP, i might find soemthing more affordable.
Green, fresh and bit spicy frangipani.
Sillage is very good and i would say even heavy, lasting power is also very nice and no need to reapply during the day.
