This is a warm and spicy licorice and caramel scent. It somehow manages, even with these dominant edible notes, to be a deep and intriguing concotion and not at all just another gourmand. The sillage is impressive, as is the norm with Slumberhouse fragrances. The same can be said for the longevity of this scent. Kere is an altogether stunning perfume! My only regret is that when my sample runs out, I will probably never be able to get more…

A strikingly original composition that’s actually more linear than a number of Slumberhouse’s other scents. This one is quite sweet and pleasant, but is undergirded by a strange curry-type element (that actually feels closer to hay than full-on curry). While there’s definitely some floral business here, the scent is carried by a maple note that skillfully avoids stepping into the realm of sickly or overly sweet by balancing the blend with the afore-mentioned hay-type note.
This is one of the fragrances that Josh has reformulated, so the notes listed above don’t quite correspond. But from what I understand, this is built around sandalwood, styrax, and rose. It’s lovely, insanely powerful and long lasting, but also very unusual. As with everything from this line, this isn’t for everyone–the wearability is predicated the adventurousness of the wearer. It’s challenging, but in the best possible way.

Immortelle minus the curry. This is a pretty nice concoction of liqorice, honeysuckle and hay that dafeinitely brings to mind of Immortelle. The point of strength of this composition is that while many fragrances listing Helichrysum among their notes tend to smell like curry, Kere is completely devoided of this aspect enhancing its anisic/liqorice-like undertone and pairing it with a caramel/praline note in the base. Aldehydes and fruity undertones add a necessary balance saving the fragrance from heavyness or from becoming overly sweet.
Not my type of stuff but can do great on the Lolita Lempicka / Eau Noire axis.
