This is a great scent but hard to find and getting pricey.

Joop Go Electric Heat is the perfect liquorice fragrance for men.
Sweet, warm, sexy – just divine on a man’s warm skin. ♥
This edition is round, full and somehow multi-dimensional.
Both me and my husband love the original Go, but we agree that Electric Heat is even better.
It is actually that good that my husband mourned it the moment he realized Electric Heat was a limited edition.
The blend of liquorice (very intense), sweet violet, saffron, aromatic lavender and lime oozes sensuality.
Violets and liquorice are a match made in heaven and contribute a lot to the overall warm and sweet feel of Electric Heat.
Cool lavender and tart lime make sure that Electric Heat does not become too sweet and that the fragrance is perfectly wearable in summer.
On the very few occasions that I have worn Electric Heat I have enjoyed every second that I was surrounded by this wonderful fragrance.
Electric Heat turned out to be what I had hoped LL Minuit Noir to be:
Proper liquorice (not just sweet anise), warm, sweet (but not cloying), multifaceted and… sexy!
And it actually lasts ten times longer than Minuit Noir.
I agree with absolutely everything that gypsy parfumista wrote about this perfume – it is smooth and velvety, enchanting… sensual and romantic… it really is great manscent that exudes warmth, comfort and love.
11 stars!

I am wearing this fully today, not just a spray or a dab on the hand or wrist. I sprayed it on, moderately, before going out “perfuming” at the counters…and then AGAIN (more heavily) when I got home a few hours later…not because it had faded; but because it smells so very good!! It is the beginning of September (and Autumn, here in PA) and though this was a Limited Edition summer flanker; it performs equally well in mildly warm, still sunny days and cooler clear evenings…
If you tried GO! and were left with a feeling of “wanting” something “more”; something less sheer and green…and more along the lines of JOOP! Homme-but not as spicy, “pushy” or cloying…I believe Go! Electric Heat is for you. This opens with the lovely bitter/sour citricity of lime and a cool fresh mint. Foregoing the strange juicy vegetal rhubarb note in the original and that “bamboo-like” green; the warm soft lavender has a smooth masculine and warmly woody floral aroma. The heart is composed of a perfectly balanced blend of slightly anisic licorice wood and powdery velvety violets. This description may lead you to believe it is similar to something from Lolita Lempicka; however, it has NONE of that caramel sweetness, boozy rum nor the nutty pralines. Similar, yes, but nowhere near as sweetly loud or strong; GO! Electric Heat is perfect for summer, and even better in the fall! The drydown of warm smooth cedar and saffron’s rich, pollen-dripping floweriness is subtle but classy and rather elegant. There is a hint, to my nose, of heliotrope’s slightly creamy vanillic haze; but this may just be the saffron/violet/licorice wood accord playing tricks on my nose. Whatever is doing it; this fragrance is enchanting, sexy and warmly wonderful. It has that JOOP! House “accord”, in that it is fuzzy and soft but sweet, in a very dry way. I (for once at least) prefer 2009’s seasonal flanker to the original…
Sillage: fair
Longevity: good
Overall: 4/5
I am actually amazed that this summer version has MORE woodiness and some “heavier” notes than the original does. Do not get me wrong, I am a big fan of GO! and have large bottles of both it and this…I just prefer this one. I was lucky enough to find this for a “song” at a discount retailer as the box was missing and some of the juice had been sprayed out. For something of this quality, for under 20 US dollars for 100 ml. (give or take) I just could not pass it up!
I am also glad my mom was with me that day, as she knocked it off the women’s shelf (lesson: always look in both HIS & HER sections in discount retailers) while reaching for Euphoria Spring Temptation. Had she never made such a clatter, I would never have gone to the other side to see what all the fuss was about and would have missed this wonderful manscent!

One thing I liked about Joop! was that did thy DID NOT follow the 2000s trend to recycle, repackage and resell you their best-selling fragrances over and over again. There’s only one and only “Le Bain”, and it’s for females only. Similarily, there’s only one “Nightflight”, and there’s only a male version available.
But now, what the hell is this? The third incarnation of scent that wasn’t that spectacular at first appearence. Please stop it, we already have enough, we don’t want it!

Simple, awesome, and a very nice utilization of saffron mixed with a sweet and vibrant citrus candy like accord. I’ll be sporting this alot, indeed. Nicely done.
