Jingle G is an adorable Christmas time perfume for children and the young at heart – like me! Today I’m working aboard Disney Princess Cruises as Elsa from Frozen but I’ve been wearing this perfume on one wrist. I’m afraid I can’t douse myself in perfume when I’m working with children who ware hyper sensitive to smells & perfume on women.
I had to sample it and a friend of mine who has a daughter loves the Harajuku fragrances and I loved the bottle with the cute Santa Baby girl! I am a grown woman but I still get excited about fragrances like this. It is so sweet, soft, powdery & lovely!
The first spritz is a delicious citrus, a tangerine & a tropical booze note of carambola fruit. It reminds me slightly of Guess’ Marciano with a curacao orange flavor liqueur scent. But because it is marketed for little girls this is not a big booze but more a light fruity drink (almost exactly like Capri Sun) with a citrus flavor. That tart tangerine is delicious. However because of the Christmas theme it never gets too summery or too fresh & cool.
For me the theme is white powdery snow & vanilla. Before long the white floral notes develop in a light little cloud of perfume. Smells like white talc powder (or snow) but enjoyable and subtle, not heavy powder. There’s white floral notes of gardenia & jasmine, some orange flower (orange blossom) and honeysuckle. These notes are remarkably similar to some of the Paris Hilton perfumes like Siren & Fairy Dust but unlike Fairy Dust or Siren this never gets fruity tropical (Siren) or too floral/musky (Fairy Dust). Instead you have a lovely balance of citrus, florals & vanilla.
The fragrance is not detectable to others and it’s a skin scent. I wish it was warmer but it smells like someone covered your skin with sweet scented white snow. This is why I feel that this fragrance is not only appropriate for Christmas parties in December but also suitable to my Disney Princess character of Elsa from Frozen, the “Snow Queen”. This is a sweet snow perfume. It’s wearable all year round in all honesty but for me it’s such a good December scent. In warm or humid weather like Florida where I live I’m always reaching for those perfumes that are suggestive of cool, fresh, fruity, floral & summery themes.
O my I love it! Just love it!
Harajuku Lovers make fine intros to perfume for young girls; the composition of the notes are always interesting. This one just makes me feel like melted snow with perfume. It’s fruity, floral and the dry down of vanilla (or vanilla powder) is so good!! So if you like any of the notes here: tangerine, carambola fruit, gardenia (a light gardenia) orange blossom, jasmine, vanilla & very soft cedar wood, this is the perfume you want. It’s really more about vanilla in the end.
    Swoon!
    Pretty!!

This is a very beautiful fragrance that comes in a very cute little bottle! But I have to admit I have viva la juicy gold and it smells very similar, almost identical!!! I do love my viva la juicy though, its one of my favorites perfumes. Not sure which came first but I am happy with them both. 🙂

This is definitely one of my favorite Harajuku perfumes. I purchased this from HSN when it was first released. The bottle that I have is the .33 oz size, so it’s very small. Actually surprised that I haven’t used the entire bottle up already. I agree with other reviewers, it does sort of remind me of Viva La Juicy. They are no way the same smelling, but have a similar vibe. Like a nice mixture of Viva La Juicy mixed with Katy Perry Meow & a little unique mixture of its own. Overall a very nice scent!

Might as well buy viva la juicy. It’ll last much longer.

I wish they made a larger bottle of this at least a 1 oz like some of the other Harajuku Lovers. Jingle G is great, but it is almost the same as Katy Perry Meow, the only difference is that there is Star Fruit in Jingle G. In my opinion Star Fruit stands out in Jingle G. I really wish this wasn’t a limited edition, same for all the other Harajuku Lovers Fragrences. I hope they make another Jingle G that smells different for the Holidays in 2013. Maybe even a green bottle this time, or two different ones, that match. 1 oz bottles next time as well. Thanks in advance, as it will be much appriciated.

I have a large 3.4oz tester of this. It smells great, a cozy warm scent perfect for Christmas time. Even though it has fruits in the top notes it is by no means a fruity scent. When you first spray it, you can smell the tangerine and the starfruit but they fade almost instantly. I usually hate gardenia scents but the gardenia in this is not strong and it adds a creamy floral sweetness to the vanilla and benzoin.
In fact, to me, the benzoin is one of the stonger notes in this fragrance. Benzoin doesn’t have a very distinct fragrance by itself but I find that it enhances and adds a fluidity and creamy smoothness to other notes, especially vanilla! Benzoin has a warm butteryness about it. Benzoin always helps to blend everything in a fragrance and makes it fluid and cohesive. It helps the notes blend and work together rather than work against each other.
Even though it is a fall/winter fragrance it isn’t heavy by any means, it still manages to smell sweet and fluffy and very similar to Meow by Katy Perry and Wicked Style Baby.
Overall, a nice comfort sweet scent.

I love it , but they really should have the big bottles because the bottle is too small and it’s limited edition .. I don’t want it to be finished :/

All of Harajuku’s perfumes seem to be watered down and don’t last more than 20 mins. Which is sad because I really liked this one and the bottles cute!

Love this fragrance, my second choice from Harajuku lovers line. So much like viva la juicy, the only downside is you often have to respray.

What a nice surprise this frag is! It’s definitely sweet but at the same time it’s not overwhelming or teeny-bopper smelling (like some of HL frags can be in my opinion). Just really soft, well-balanced and pleasant. Very evocative of cozy winter holidays so it’s perfect for the season. Love the combo of starfruit and vanilla. Well done, Gwen!

Got mine! Finally! Ha! It’s a pleasant little sweet scent. It’s kind of on the lines of Beyonce’s Pulse because they both remind me of shampoo. Very comforting. After the original G and Lil’ Angel, Jingle G is my fav from the Harajuku Lovers line. : )

Aww what a cute and happy scent! 😀 Jingle G is soft, fruity, fun and sweet. The opening combo of notes is very delicious with a zippy yet sweet citrus and juicy starfruit. During the mid phase I mostly smell Jasmine with the rest of the composition being rounded out by a mildly spiced vanilla.
I really like this and see a minute resemblance to Viva La juicy but not as sweet. I’ll also agree that it does smell kinda tropical as I too get a bit of a banana vibe during the life of Jingle G. Still, it’s a scent that can be worn as much in the winter as it could be in spring.
Wicked Style Baby was my favorite of the Harajuku Line but this one has taken it’s place. This would be a fine addition to any person’s collection that enjoys bright, fruity, sweet and vanilla fragrances like me. Sillage is fairly decent with a lasting power of 4hrs. Guess that isn’t too terrible for an Edt..? o.O
Also, the Jingle G bottle is super cute and truly adorable but I WOULD NEVER pay more than what I did for .33oz worth of perfume. The price point for the TEENY bottles is beyond ridiculous!! o.O Still it is great for carrying around with you and would make a great stocking stuffer for the holidays. 🙂

I just bought 5 for a great price online! I haven’t gotten to test Jingle G so I am hoping it smells GREAT! Ha! I couldn’t pass up the deal so I’m hoping for the best. The bottle is SO cute so I couldn’t resist it. Ha! Most of the reviews sound DELICIOUS so I just have to love it! I just have to! Ha! : )

Love love LOVE this! Sweet, vanillary, sugary with a hint of fruit, i can detect some apple in there somewhere amongst the tangerine.. just my bag! Adorable bottle, i have the lid hanging from my tree 🙂 Downside is that it’s limited addition so grab it if you can

Jingle G is fantastic! It’s a creamy sweet citrus. I smell the orange, vanilla and benzoin, with the tiniest bit of wood. This doesn’t really remind me of the holidays, other than it does smell fun and festive, and people will want to hug you. I think this can be worn anytime. It’s the best from the Harajuku line that I’ve smelled so far. Too bad it’s a limited edition and only available in a tiny bottle. I already don’t see it on the shelves anymore. This one has surpassed my expectation and is a very pleasant surprise.

This is my perfect winter scent! To me, it smells like Christmas! I’m totally going to wear it all winter! It’s really different compared to my other perfumes, but still it’s amazing! 🙂

Sweet enough to give you a cavity, but not a headache. I smelt this is a store and unfortunately they had ran out of it and I became obsessed with finding it.
Thanks to ebay i procured a bottle and wore it for a week solid. A perfect daytime sweet scent that is band on trend.
It is stronger than a lot of sweet perfumes and lasts well on the skin. The citrus and vanilla radiating from the sweet, sugar center add intrigue to an otherwise humdrum scent.

This smells very similar to Rihanna’s new fragrance, Rebelle. They both have that cocobutter mixed with vanilla and a dash of coconut quality to them but I think the Rihanna is a bit stronger and more intense. Rihanna’s scent pretty much doesn’t really go anywhere past that stage. I like them both and I have Rihanna’s and I want a bottle of this, also : )

Love this scent. Kinda smells like a spicy mix between Oscar Violet (Oscar de la Renta) and Viva La Juicy. It starts out very fruity, and then mellows down to a sweet, vanilla-ey spicy scent. Lasts about 6 hours on me. I love it, because its a nice winter scent that isn’t overly musky or strong, just sweet and warm.
Asking for this for Christmas, its fantastic.

I tested this perfume today at a frag shop and it smells amazing,it smells slightly fruity and very sweet. I am definately going to ask for this for christmas. I recommend this to people who like sweet vanillary type scents.
    Can’t believe it’s limited edition!

I had to have this for the sweet bottle. I won’t be wearing this, it’s not my type, too vanilla musky for me. Interesting note: In grade school, many of my closest friends were African American, and they told me their mothers put a hair oil in their hair. Well this smells exactly like that oil, I’d know the scent any-where!

Totally love it as I am a sucker for the holidays! Too bad the lasting power is very bad on me, it’s completely gone after a couple of hours

HEAVEN IN A BOTTLE. So depressing that this is limited edition, because this smells AMAZING! Smells like yummy, sugary, exactic sweet bananas on my skin. Just my favorite thing ever! My new favorite winter scent!
When it dries down, it smells a lot like Radiance, signature scent, so it’s no surprise I love it. When I run out I will be devastated if I can’t get it anymore. I wish it came in big hefty bottles. Can’t get enough!

I love it!! The bottle is so cute, and although I love the scent enough to want more, the small size makes it a just-for-the-Christmas-season perfume, which is festive and fun. I smell orange and vanilla equally, with a warm, sweet-spicy base. Very Christmas-y. Lasting power is a few hours, but it clings to fabric a bit more, so I get a whiff off of my sweater the next day. I’ll be wearing this from November to January. It is advertised as a stocking-stuffer, but I think it’s best as an early Christmas gift. That way it can be worn for Christmas, rather than celebrating the season after it’s over.

I think the bottle is such a shame. I adore harajuku fragrances and their cute bottles, but not all of us love Christmas all year round, and so, I would not want this display on bottle after the 25th of December (Scrooge here!)
Apart from that I had a chance to test this fragrance earlier and it was lovely for winter.

The rest of the Harajuku Lovers line is kinda meh; more time is spent on the bottle designs, rather then the juice inside. However, the juice inside JINGLE G fits perfectly with both the bottle and the festive season.
On me the star fruit, tangerine and orange blossom [I’m sure that there is apple here too] combine with the honeysuckle, vanilla and benzoin for a softly sweetly spiced citrus fragrance. I can faintly detect the cedar in the base, with further adds to the festive appeal.
JINGLE G is a happy daytime fragrance that screams “Christmas” and brings back happy childhood memories.
The lasting power is about four hours, give or take. Certainly nothing special, but it is better then the rest of the Harajuku Lovers range.
